Ideas for Supplies and Drones!

No... I mean, I understand what your saying! They are meant to attack those behind you who in hot pursuit of you when your trying to get away and and their weapon is devestating up front, or the closer they get to you, and you lay your mine and they see so they go around, and now you can't lay one down... for quit awhile! I agree, it sucks! I use mine for choke points... usually! 

 

On the other hand... I (on occasion) often use those close attack hot pursuit tanks, such as my firebird, and I'm the one on hot pursuit... I kind of appreciate it when I see the mine get layed before me! it's not cause I've seen it that makes the difference though... their is ALWAYS an audible alert, a chime, chirp, or a ding, that you will hear the moment a tank drops a mine! So if your the tank that's in hot pursuit of a tank, and hear that chirping chime, stop moving, back up, and look for the mine! How will one look where to go if it's blended in!? 

"hey, is THAT a mine, or... a rock? I don't think so! 

 

Only thing I want changed with the Mines... if they could... shorter reload timing!! The fact it takes forever before you could Reuse one?? 

see this is where i fully disagree with u .. see mines are suppose to have a purpose in the game and right now there not really doing anything but to look like a flower just sprouting from the ground.. where as if a mine is camouflage in to the ground settings ( the terrain ) then it would be more used for its purpose of destroying one in battle which is what the intentions were for.. right now i can say at less 85% of tanks go around them and not triggering  them in battles ...so its just used as a decoration .. this way if they were to be camouflage  into the terrain then  more will be  used ,..them for the attack of surprise

I have an idea for a news supply called the pro-con supply where you get 3x more in a certain area and 2x less in a certain area. You first press 7 and then press the field in which you want to increase (health, armor, damage, speed) by pressing the same one you would press as a supply. For example, 2 is double armor. If you pressed 7-3, you would get triple damage. However, to balance the game, you have to decrease a certain field. So, if you pressed 7-1-3, you would be getting instant health, but your damage would go down. If you pressed 7-4-1, your speed would go up by 3x (whoa) but your health would go down a little.

As you all know, we have a decent amount of supplies already, suited for each platform. But, I've brainstormed a new idea that I think would do good for the game. I call it "Reflector", though other ideas for the name are welcome, and it would most-likely be used as the "7" key. Basically, this supply would cast a shield-like surface around your tank, and any turret on the opposing team that attacks you would have the damage reflected off the reflector and fired back at them(same distance, of course). I would suggest that the cool down take longer than other supplies, because it would hold a huge advantage in battle. That's pretty much it. Thanks!

Similar to the flash bomb, the "Flash" supply would be a dominating supply that would flash in front of the targeted oppenent's screen, turning the screen completely white. It would fade away, presumeably at a paced time, so that players don't get too infuriated :lol: But, the supply would take effect as soon as damage is done to the opponent, no matter which gun. That's all. I doubt that developers will add more gameplay-affecting supplies to Tanki Online. The things you suggest would seem to be more fitting for Tanki X, so I suggest you post your two ideas in the corresponding TX ideas section, if you haven't done so already.

Adjusted to limit supplies each player who enters the battle:

battle of 15 minutes: 2 kit for repair, 5 double damage, 5 double armor, 10 speed boost, 10 mines.

In the battle of 30 minutes: 4 repair kit, 10 double damage, etc.

Another thing - when a player uses his supplie (any) will not be able to pick up Drop Boxes as long as there cooldown.

Pro battle to remain with all their settings.

A simple solution to the problem of mines being ineffective against powerful tanks is the following:  if any tank hits a mine, it is destroyed.  There should be no defense against a mine.

Supplies make tanks too powerful.  It is annoying when some player keeps giving themselves double power and double armour throughout an entire game.

 

Some changes have been made to limit this, and I applaud these changes.

 

I would like to suggest that supplies NOT be for sale in the garage.  Instead, supplies would be given for free, but only in limited amounts.  For example, for every 15 minutes of play, a tank would receive one randomly-chosen supply box.  This would mean that, on average, a tank could only use one supply box per 15 minutes of play.

What if we have a diamond box and platinum box.
The diamond box will contain 50k crystals and Platinum will contain 100k crystals. Well for the cost in the shop can be $50 for diamond and $100 for Platinum. As for the dropping in a match, can say one diamond can drop per day and for the platinum, that can fall weekly or once every three days.

Just an idea... The team that loses a battle, gets back all the supplies they used in the battle.

 

 

How would it effect the game economy?

 

It would seem that the obvious effect on the game's economy would be that less supplies get used. However, it would definitely encourage people to use supplies more often. So perhaps ultimately, more supplies would get used, or it would be about the same as now.

 

How would it affect game play?

 

Probably players would be less likely to leave a battle when their team is losing, because really they have nothing to lose. And teams that are losing might go extra heavy on the supply use, having the effect of evening out the battle more, similar to the way CP scoring evens out the battle because it favors the losing team. This new supply policy would always favor the losing team, thereby bringing some balance to battles.

 

What would players think?

 

Players would be less angry about losing, especially losing to big "druggers", because they could match their drug use. There would be less bitter comments in the forum, and players would probably enjoy Tanki more overall, because it would ease a main source of frustration.

 

It would be interesting to try this out for a weekend, the way you've recently tried out a couple supplies experiments. If nothing else, it would be fun.

do u understand thats not allowed (same as hacking). And it would makes such a lag + this idea would be take a lot of time to create it.

When playing DM mode, supplies should not be available at all. Tankers constantly use repair kits. You have made your choice in which tank to use. It is dishonest Admin. Where is the skill? As far as other battles that were created w/use of supplies, repair kits should be limited.. Where is the skill, strategy?

Nope! I'm one of those, at one time, I over used supplies in a battle! sometimes I still catch mysefl doing so, out of temptation or desperate need! HOWEVER!! I'm learning, it is holding me back! Til a couple weeks ago, I would spend 10k CRY on the supply boost package... getting like 50 of each, and use regularly for week or so, still collecting drops too. After a week or two, I'd regain back to 10k Cry in my acct, and I realized... oh, I need more supplies, so I'd by the bunch again! Week or so again? I'd done the same...

 

After I repeated this pattern, sucked into the black hole of wanting more supplies to have ready!! I started to realize..."Dam... I'm not spending much of my CRY on upgrades!" I was gaining exp in fighting, so I was slowly being paired with higher level players w/ higher caliber equipment, and I can't keep up, and I realized when I had to ask, where is all my CRY going? Into supplies of course!

 

So yes... some players are more over zealous of the use of supplies... but... they are only hurting them self in the long run! When they reach point I have, they slow down their use! I don't buy any supplies any more, saving my CRY for upgrades. Now, I keep my dailies going. I'm beyond the 4x week of completing missions, so every time I complete a Week of missions? I get a large lump sum of Supplies, and I'm learning to use those more sparingly! I get like 32x Damage, Armor, and mines, and 10 or so repair... once a week, for keeping it above 4x weeks repeition! so... 

 

My point is... their are plenty out there that over use their supplies, only hurting themself! 

Some will learn, and use sparingly! Getting better in their tactics. 

Should not do anything to the supply availability... 

 

I have suggested... they make a Year Supply reward, after completing 52 weeks of completing missions, getting a Supply boost or option, at that mile stone as well!! It hasn't been considered yet!

The skill? It's in the timing of the supply! Or when to use! Read my comment above... no matter when somone uses supplies... hif he over uses them, he only hurting himself in long run! Yes, I'm a user, but now, I'm learning to pace my usage, sometimes taking a kill if I just killed 4-5 tanks... spare the use of repair til later, when I just spawned and fighting another tank, and nearly dead... I  repair... kill, and maybe gain another drop, and keep going! 

 

Their a different level of skill when supplies are used! Just knowing when, and timing it right, is a skill! Esp with their new upgrade about supply cool down... takes forever before one is available again! 

 

My take on those who don't use and complain?? You only set your self up by not using. If you know your opponent is boosting self, and more powerful than you? Why wouldn't you in order to even score? Granted... it does annoy me when I don't get the kill when I see the wrench on my target light up... i guess that's just part of the game! If I have a repair ready, and choose not to use... and I get killed, cause I didn't even the the battle? Than that's my choice! IF I don't have one available? That only a consequence of my action using one earlier... I have to live with it! I have to consider was that last use of repair 3 min before worth it, when I suddenly can't use it, paired against a tank that just used it? maybe I use Dbl Armor instead, and hope I can survive long enough to still kill him! Maybe there a DD near by, i see him use Repair, still blasting his cannon at me, I boost for the Dbl Armor, and run for the DD... I may still have the upper hand... 

 

It's all part of the game, and all a learning lesson in to making better choices! I make bad choices a lot, losing battles, and i'ts just matter of "that's the way it is", do better next time!
