hello guys

i just wanted to tell you guys some small tweaks to increase internet speed (which will increase tanki online speed).

what this does is clean your dns cache

1. press windows key + r

2. search cmd

3. right click cmd and open as admin

4. type this: ipconfig/flushdns

5. press enter

thats it.

another way

what this does is disable global autotuning which slows down your internet

1. do steps 1 - 3 from the above

2. type this: netsh interface tcp set global autotuning = disabled

3. press enter

4. restart computer

thats it.

comment if you liked my post.

heres another one: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=244336&do=findComment&comment=4342555

heres another one:

this one will make the bandwith limit 0% which you will be able to access all 100% of your internet bandwith

1. press windows key + r

2. search gpedit.msc

3. go to: computer configuration→administrative templates→network→QOS packet scheduler→double click it

4. click enabled

5. if the % is at zero skip to step 7

6. if it isnt change the % number to zero

7. click apply and then click ok

8. restart your computer

thats it.

comment if it worked

(more tweaks coming soon)

What if I have a Mac? ( Macbook Pro )

Do the normal stuff to reduce lag.

Also try firefox, if using chrome/safari, only  one page open

Use cmd - , to reduce screen size from fullscreen/presentation mode.

Have no programs running but finder, trash and firefox(1page)

Force quit everything else

(MacAir).

Not a computer type of gal; is any of this really safe? I've seen a lot of fake "help," who tell you to delete system32, or delete C:/ but in reality this destroys your computer. So my question is, is this legit?

A week ago, I almost never lagged, and when I did, it wasn't very bad. A couple days ago, I entered a battle and my ping was in the clouds, while my fps kept going down to 6. I use a Mac. I tried other browsers with no change. Something happened with tanki, because nothing has changed with my computer, browser settings, Internet provider, or account. Is there any way to fix this besides the little tweaks that have been suggested. As is, I almost can't even play.

So then I assume you have already tried this? Apologies for not being too helpful otherwise.

hi

have you tried standalone flash??

links--> http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=243978

or

http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=163594

if that didnt work:

1. enable hardware acceleration

2. increase cache memory

3. press - (minus key) in a battle

4. clear cache, history, cookies, etc.

5. disable some graphics

6. close all other tabs

7. clean your hard disk

8. delete all temporary internet files

9. use cable instead of wifi

10. lots of people say chrome is great, but i saw a moderator say that chrome is not very good (so i recommend IE)

of all of those tips, numbers 3, 5, and 6 are the most effective.

if you tried all of my suggestions and it still lags terribly, i suggest playing with this link: http://fixit.tankionline.com/en

now dont get suspicious, its not a account-stealing link or anything, i just saw on these posts ↓ that it helps your gameplay performance.

if you read them (not the topic but the comments about the fixit link) you will understand what i mean.

good luck tanker!!

comment if it helped~ ^^

I'm interested in checking the above tweak, however my computer couldn't find a 'gpedit.msc'.

I tried deleting the flash player's cache, but it said that it was unable because a program or application prevented it. I'm still going to try a couple other things I haven't done yet, but this lag problem happened suddenly indicating a sudden change rather than a slow accumulation of data. In the game, when I am just driving alone, the game is not too bad, but as soon as I start shooting and driving close to tanks, it lags often to the point of freezing the screen for a few seconds. Next time I get a chance, I will try some more of tips on this page.

I am happy to announce that the problem has been solved. I just hope it doesn't reoccur. I think the solution would fall under number 8 of your suggestions werty8763. I followed the directions on the apple website to uninstall adware (my computer had been plagued by advertisements to the point of swering) and after playing for an hour in a full noise battle with absolutely no lagging, I believe the problem is fixed. I also re-enabled many of the graphics that I had unchecked, with no negative results. Thanks for all the help.
