Hello.I got a serious problem.Yesterday I was playing Hill CTF and suddenly I got "Connection closed by server" error.

I said "It's not a big problem" and just reloaded but... again same error.3rd time I reloaded I was in Island CTF.I changed my password, but when I came home and went on Tanki I saw that account with a very strange nickname as logged in.It wasn't mine.Maybe it's my brother's but I don't know still till he comes back.

I am thinking of reporting this to help@tankionline.com

Please help

If you changed your password, there is no need to worry. About that account, accounts can't log in by themselves, right? So still there is no need to worry, someone (probably your brother) has logged in it.

We all know that there are various situations (for example, in a battle, loading a server or entering the Garage) when a message pops up: "Connection closed by server."

I know the reason why that popped out !

What worries me is how he got my password ! I didn't tell it to anyone

Either he must have guessed your password or you must have logged in your account from that computer and forgot to unclick 'Remember me'.

Hackers have many way to enter accounts, Maybe you could have clicked a link similar to the original Tanki online forum? Says "Incorrect password" and your password could have been given to the hacker and could enter your account on the Main server. If you were hacked the hacker could click "Remember me" and have access to your account even if you changed your password.

Possible ways to get your password.

Keyloggers:
Keyloggers are malicious pieces of software that can run in the background, logging every key stroke you make. They’re often used to capture sensitive data like credit card numbers, online banking passwords, and other account credentials. They then send this data to an attacker over the Internet.

Reusing Passwords, Especially Leaked Ones:
Many people, maybe even most people, reuse passwords for different accounts. Some people may even use the same password for every account they use. This is extremely insecure. Once they get one password you use on your device they could get into other things with the same password if you reuse the same password for different things.

After I change password, my accnout is logged out from EVERY PC it was logged on to.

I never went to site similar to tanki forum as I have it's bookmark so no need to search for it.

And my password on tanki I had when this happened was not in use by any of my other accounts.

Does your family have another Laptop/computer? Or does any other family member of yours know your current or previous password?
