I think for the paints in the game they need a minor tweaking. So here are a few ideas i had to maybe improve uniqueness of a tank. Here goes:

 

Color Customization: Allow the tankers to buy paints as armor plating instead. Then either give out, or sell different designs or colour huds to the tanker so they can have their paints more custom. For those that like the original looks allow a button to "Restore to Default".

 

Design Customization: Allow tankers to have certain parts of their tank to colour. This would allow tankers to have a more unique tank on the battlefield. This could also be allowed to perhaps sell some custom designs that can then be coloured in. Example, sell a custom striped paint, but sell it in a simple mono coloured setting. Then with a basic colour hud in the garages, we could base color it what we like, thus a custom tank.

 

Variation: Sell paints how they are, but allow players to customize the color on them. This will keep the originality of the paint but also allow some players to change it up if they want.

 

Clan Paints: By allowing these kind of customizations into the game, allow us all to buy a basic paint, no protections, that we can fully customize. Perhaps put some basic designs into the garage that can be bought for this paint, or just make the price higher and sell the designs as a package. Bake the designs colourable so that way each team and clan can all get this, and match their tanks for battles. This would also look awesome in the star ladder, as their would be team colours on the field.

 

Final Thoughts: Please let me know which of these you like, if any at all. The last thing to this as well, alot of women play this game, and i know quite a few, don't really like all the paints out there for their tank. Yes i understand to some the paints are for pure armour, but why limit it to those that don't. As it stands right now, for looks, there are only two girlyish paints. In-Love and Sakura. With this, people could have say Prodigi, pink and blue. Thus allowing tankers to have a custom paint with the same design. Maybe implement all of it.

Custom paints are not feasible, because they will be laggy, explicit, inappropriate, insulting, too religious, ect......

 

The TO Unity version will have custom stickers and other add-ons that you can attatch to your tank that will have no effect on the battlefield except to look cool.

 

There are several suggestions along that line, I suggested Country paints and Birthday paints, and mcmonkey25 suggested a paint with your current rank displayed. Any of those can be used as a "Clan Paint" but customization, again, will have drawbacks for the Moderating team.

Seriously though, I do think a pink paint is practical, but they already added several new paints, and the existing "Girl" paints will work. Besides, you could argue that any "Blue" paint would work.

Moderators wont have enough time to view players custom made paints, If they did, We need thousands of moderators... Moderators have their own jobs to deal with, Maybe they could dedicate a position for looking at paints, "Custom made paints moderator"

If you were wondering i am a guy btw. :) Secondly i am not entirely asking to change the current pain structure, but only to allow people to change the colour of the current paints in question. Two the second post: Moderator paint approval would require alot. To the third: Not at all, everyone knows what prodigi looks like, or even jaguar, and no offense, but simple coloring of a current paint would not change the actual look of the paint in question.

if u change the color scheme & make it look like something else some players might get confused cuz everyone doesnt know to identify paints by looking specially the newly added paints

i am a female and would love to be able to make my tank look more to my taste, how would it make it too laggy? its a simple change to the code to make a selection tab to be able to choose a paint then select it in the colour chart easy! the fact that you choose to reject it is saying that you are pretty sexist. i dont think it will make players confused its still the same design just a colour of choice and it can from a selection of 4-5 colours. how would it be any different to us all choosing the love paint and entering a match? we would still have our names above our tanks. theres nothing wrong with adding a little more selection to customise our tanks. i for one would like to

I think a more indepth reply is needed here to better clear your mind. First off, colour is not explicit or inappropriate, not even religious for that matter. I am not asking for us to beable to write bad things or put iconic religious symbols on our tanks, but to simply change colors to make it a little more neutral to everyone else. As for the stickers? Let me gather this, having paints where ONLY the color can be changed is not ok, but slapping some random eagle sticker on the side (Hornet XT) is cool? lol. Thirdly, you may not be sexist, but this game is pretty well that way, 2 paints for girls really, and some people dont play tanki like if it is WWIII and the world is ending and it is the only way of survival, i for one play this game for fun, i pick my paints (what little nice vs ugly ones there are) based on looks, not protection. You say it was a joke about girl paints, sexism is not a joke as a whole. You are saying women are a sign of weakness, that is just pathetic. I believe if someone wants a jaguar paint where it can be pink with black spots, or even blue with black spots would not cause any lag at all, Especially when they switch over to unity. All in all tho, i rest my argument and respect your opinion on this matter. Thank you for your reply.

(That sentence was mostly aimed at guys, girls can wear pink all they want, I don't judge.)

 

I was trying to say that any war hero walking into battle with pink hearts on the side of HIS tank just looks outrageously funny, kind of like Hitler playing with a Barbie doll. :P

I am sorry, not going to happen. Already suggested many times.

In the Unity version you will be able to customize your tank with stickers. And the "sell" the paint option will not be implemented either.
