Who do you think could qualify for Tanki staff?

Oh, no, I was already denied months ago.

Moderators are, when needed, selected from their duties by administrators. Criteria to become a Moderator include being helpful, having good knowledge of the game, not having warnings or frequent violations of the rules, showing a good understanding of the forum rules posted by TO in the main page, and demonstrating that you do not have a temper or a propensity to troll or cause strife.

If you want to become a Moderator, your best bet is to post constructively on the forums regularly, be friendly and helpful to everyone, and demonstrate maturity and good decision making.

you can have all that but it also helps if you speak a different languages the more the better and even with all the helping on the servers you might want to get letters posted to Sharon or yele..for   a letter of recommendation to say you have done stuff in helping on the chat and in forum

I'm not a kid, I can do whatever I want. hhhhh

Hello @E.Leclerc

I'm writing this to you because I'm hoping you will read it. Age doesn't have to matter, but mature people and good moderators will have patience and read through even lengthy forum posts.

If someone wants to be a moderator, then they need to learn what a moderator even does. Yes moderators are their to help people, but that's not all we do. Moderators moderate a forum to make sure rules are followed, to watch that people are behaving and being respectful of each other, the forums are kept clean from spam, moderators ban people, and they manage threads such as moving them and locking them.

People need to think carefully if they want to help people or if they want to be a moderator to manage the forums. If people want to help other people, then they can. You don't have to be a moderator to help people. If people really have a heart for helping other people, then nobody is stopping them from helping others except themselves.

Everyday average people can be like invisible super heroes B). If they're not looking to help people for the sake of recognition and fame, then they should be fine with helping without the title of moderator.

What about helping people online? The best way to help people on the internet is to teach them or be able to answer their questions. You don't need to be a moderator in order to answer people's questions.
Alright, how do you answer people's questions? You need to learn and gain knowledge, you have to have answers in order to give answers. When people come to forums, it's normally because they want answers that will help them with specific issues.

Here is an example to consider; you can't save a drowning person if you yourself don't know how to swim.
So then, if you want to help with a game, then learn the game and gain knowledge of the game. When you know enough about the game, you will then be able to help give answers about the game. However, you need to know what a bad tutorial is and what a good tutorials is, or you won't be helping anyone, you will just be making clutter that will be both annoying to other users and a hindrance to the moderators.

You want to help people right? Then remember, being mean doesn't help people. Being annoying doesn't help people. Being inconsiderate doesn't help people. If you can't be a moderator, then help the moderators by sticking to forum rules and encouraging others to stick to the rules.

Forum rules exist in order to keep forums safe, organized, respectful, and for Tanki Online's forum rules, they help keep the forums family-friendly. By supporting the rules and valuing them, you are supporting the community and helping to keep it safe and welcoming to other users. If you want to help the community, then you should value the rules, because their purpose is to help the community. diagona.032.png

Remember, moderators are part of the forum community too. By disobeying the forum rules you are being disrespectful to the moderators. Respect the community, and respect the moderators :) Being disrespectful can sometimes be considered rude and mean.

In general, if you wish to be in a position of authority, you need at least to understand how the place works. Bluntly put, a moderator who doesn't even know the rules would be quite pointless. Given the number of rule violations you have committed, I don't think you are even at that level yet.

all that said and done then what happens when you do help players in open chat or even in forum then you have players going behind you and questioning the answers you give and u know there correct but the other party feels that your giving the wrong answers or even acting like a mod when you don`t have the title but have clearance from admins to help when needed.. what then and if you say anything to the other party ..mods take it as your provoking a fight when your not... all your doing is helping players with the knowledge you have learned from others and reading up in the wiki and stuff then what ??

Yes, I understand you. I'll tell you everything. So, I know that I violated the rules and I know that I was rude and disrespectful against the Forum moderators and some players. Maybe you don't even know how bright future I had in becoming a moderator. I'm 14, and at the moment, I can't become a moderator due to 2 reasons. First reason is that I am not old enough, and the second reason is that I totally ruined my "golden karma".

I know that you still remember when you guys banned me for a day. Ever since then, I was in conflict with Forum mods almost every day. Infact, the reason why I got so mad was because my karma got "ruined". Oh, and yeah, before this I almost became a Wiki Editor, but I didn't, because they couldn't take on so many people...I'd say that if I would become a Wiki Editor, things would be much different now... Anyway, the main reason for my rage and rude attitude was hiding my posts and topics. To be honest with you, I am shocked when I look at my old posts...I can literally see all the hate against Forum mods. Because of anger, I couldn't even notice that. You probably didn't saw me before this, so you don't know me for sure... Anyway, currently I am serving 1 MONTH for my threats.

Chat mods have to have a very clean history with few or no bans.  Anyone wanting to be a chat mod needs to be mindful of what they say at all times.  Knowing English well is also important -- proper grammar, spelling, good vocabulary, etc.  You don't have to be perfect but you don't want to look like some uneducated dope.

well i have seen many chat mods have no clue on how to spell or even know where to look for items in tanki also talking over players heads is also not good some of these players are just kids ages 7-10 and need to be talked to in lamins  terms with little instructions and clear to the point instead of just saying what every and too much tech talk wont help..less is best at times even if u feel there trolling u ..u have no clue it could be a admins testing u to see if your doing your job instead of the old brush off like some do..

i know its not easy getting every ones questions but trying to do your best is all we expect from mods  ..even with proper english don`t help i`m finding out more other languages the better ..one is never enough in the end..
