Well, you could if you can pull it off. When I applied for chat mod, the only thing preventing me from becoming a candidate was Ostrica managed to somehow find a link deep within the forums between me and my bro's account. My bro had been recently banned and we shared the same computer. I was then rejected/put on hold :(

As you all know, karma is not the only thing we are checking in an application. But yeah, it should be clean for at least a year or two before you apply for a chat mod - if that part is ok, we can concentrate on other parts of your application - like languages known, time zone in which you play, age, availability, if you're tech savy etc. Other admins might have different requirements thought, so please check them before applying for that certain staff position. 

Exactly. I was basically referring to karma there. Although there are many more factors which need to be observed, as you said.

They are able to see your IP address. And as far as I know, they can check if you have an alternate on the same IP.
