Tanki come on stop ruining all the good equipment.

Everyone says Dictator doesnt deserve more speed because its capable of getting gold boxes first. Other than height, this was never the case before. It never really had as much weight as it has now. Since Dictator cant be pushed its easy for it to use its height to get the gold. But thats all anyone talks about how dictator is used.

 

There are many people who use it as a main hull because its fun to use, or was. I recently bought the M2 and i asked a couple of people if they experience this as well... Dictator without enough speed is kind of clumsy. How can you expect to give something a good amount of turn speed and not enough of acceleration speed? People used to think of Dictator as a big wasp. Now its some possessed tank that isnt used as  a medium hull, more rather of a trophy.

 

So my requests are

• Lose some of the weight
• Increase the speed by 15%

 

Dictator does not have the same feel as it used to and just crashes everywhere, and without enough speed it gets stuck in places and allows other people to push it away. In other words, its kind of clumsy.

It also doesnt have the speed that is needed to turn freeze and shoot at the same time, which means you have to stop and then shoot, which isnt exactly fun and it gets annoying.

Basically asking for them to un-do the switcharoo they made making Viking and Dictator switch places......Viking became the lighter of the two, which makes a lot more sense because of the size difference. ^_^

 

Now about this:

I have the same problem with all of my Hulls, it doesn't matter what combo I use, I always have this maneuverability problem. I don't know whether it's a glitch, or if it's meant to be there. Either way, it's quite annoying.

I only experience the rotation problem with Hornet and Dictator. Only with hornet its cause of drifting. Also no i didnt mention anything about that switch. Why must dictator be so slow, Monster trucks are bigger than that thing and they are fast. SO WHY NOT DICTATOR? I dont use it for golds i use hornet. Besides no one was using Dic back then, yet it had faster speed, better maneuverability, and didnt fall over every time it landed. It was also cheaper. Yet no one used it.

Why in the world are you trying to compare them??? Realize that: Tanki was never meant to be a realistic game, Monster Trucks are about as far away form the game as you can get. Besides, Tanks are moving tons of steel, meant and optimized for, combat, and monster trucks are meant to be light and fast because they are optimized for racing. Anyway, back on subject........

 

Good for you. You're not the only player on Tanki you know.....most tankers do use Dictator for Gold-Catching.

 

Now that Turrets can be hit just as easily as Hulls, Dictator become more popular because it's height allowed it to flip Hornets when equipped with Railgun. And yes, it did fall over, it's just that you probably have better driving skills than most players.

All Hulls flip, but remember, back then, the speed of all the Hulls was drastically lower than it is now.

This would ruin the balanced stats at M4, where 30 hp=1 unit of speed.

• dictators speed is fine, it has enough to get by

it doesn't need weight reduction because weight is a good thing because your shots wont get out of aim

if dictator get a 15% speed increase it would be a tall version of viking and it wouldn't be unique

the purpose of the game is to destroy tanks not to catch golds

so please stop complaining

I use Dictator a lot, and I really don't see the need to increase its speed. It handles very well as long as you're not in a tiny space, since the high turning-speed-to-speed ratio lets you navigate environments easily, and in combat it works very well too.

 

If you increased Dictator's speed, you'd also have to rework the speed of almost every other hull in the game, since it would upset the nice 30 health/1 mph difference between M4 hulls.

Dictator is bigger then the other medium hulls, so it makes sense that it's heavier and slower. Gold boxes are also very easy to catch with dictator, u can push away medium and light hulls, and jump on heavy hulls.

Dictator is meant to be a heavy medium hull, so again, more speed won't be possible or it'll be like a better viking. It's not gonna happen because: Ideas regarding changes to the actual Tanki Online to its previous versions, or ideas regarding the removal of updates are not accepted. Previously before the rebalance dictator was like that but the devs realised it didn't make sense. They will not be changing it back anytime soon

In conclusion, Devs can change whatever they want and you can't really do anything about it. You should get used to it, and be happy :P

Anyways, when a hull is OP as Dictator was (or how you claim it was) developers tend to tweak it's parameters to not make it more popular and equal to other existing hulls. Dictator at it's current statues is very strong and maneuverable hull, and is well capable of competing with other Medium hulls.

And Dictators height is the special thing about it, which defines it from other medium hulls, decrease that, you eliminate what Dictator is all about, it'll be just another Hunter.

 

 In conclusion, Devs can change whatever they want and you can't really do anything about it. You should get used to it, and be happy

It's incorrect, there is always room for improvement, but sometimes there are things that you can't put your opinion in it, not because the Devs don't want it, it's because you like it that way and it's decreasing the popularity of other items. Here is an example for the non-sense I just said: if developers were to nerf let's say Dictator because it was so popular and it's overwhelming other hulls, and they made a topic in the forum about it if people would like this to happen, of course, MOST people would say no, because they all love it, but that's not the deal, Devs want to nerf it so people start using other hulls, to improve the dynamics of the game instead of having 9 Dictator users in a 10 player game. So in that case, players' opinion isn't going to help at all, because they will all want Dictator, well, to stay a dictator (notice the pun). Hope you understood.

I had the M1 version, and used it all the time, i believe that the m1 model is better than the m2 in terms of speed and handling because it didnt get stuck and was operational with firebird,and freeze. Bought it after i realized viking cant handle heights and freefalling without recoil

Viking, i dont like it. For me i guess, it cant handle turning on roofs on maps like rio, and silence. It also cant handle falling on its side without using recoil. Oh you said to me in that polygon battle yesterday that Viking has more health than Dictator at M2 because it unlocks a couple ranks later, yet you didnt say this about the M1 model, or about Mammoth and titan, or hornet and wasp. I prefer hunter, but the m2s health is low for me at this rank.  i dont mu till i get m3s.
