Reduce power of garage supplies

I just loved the idea Rusty and Rohrmeister(On another thread) said,side effects for drugs.Its probably the best idea given in this thread.

Here's my variant:1) If you use double armour,then repair kits heal only 50%.

2) Double power increases the damage you receive by 20%(could be changed)

3) Nitro,well it isnt OP,so there's no problem with it

4) I couldn't think of nerfing repair kits in anyway other than increasing cool-down.

 

Well,what do you think of these?(I think Rusty or Rohrmeister said some of these before)

 

 

It seems none of the mods are here,posting.Looks like our problems aren't "important".

I think the best way to nerf repairs, without increasing cooldown, would be to stop them from repairing for 5 secs, thus rendering you invincible for 5 seconds. So perhaps, just an insta-heal?

This is what Kirby2008 see as a balanced battle ... maybe!

 

Actually I have to say he is a very kind person; he offered himself and propose to others to switch team, and this is a very sporty behaviour, even if at 8-0 against druggers it is a lost battle anyway. So, absolutely nothing against him! He is always been kind everytime I saw him in battle!

 

Unfortunately the point is different.

 

Why should I play in a battle that I already know I will loose (what I fight for?)?

Why should I play in a battle that a thunder shot kills me ... when I put all my effort in developing my nice Viking M3?

Why should I stare and run around looking at people devastating everything?

Why should I be forced to drug, just to eventually try to slow down a bounch of druggers (quite useless)?

Why should I accept a switch ... like charity ... poor dear, let's help him, he is soo unlucky, like when you give a coin to an homeless on the road? I am a player, not a beggar ... I fight to win and I don't beg for some XP. I am happy if I loose against a more skilled or coordinate team ... I enjoy such battle! I am not happy to loose against a "Godmode-ON" tank, and I am not even happy to play with such tank!

 

If Tanki will not understand that people have a pride and dignity and don't like to be blown up by big wallets, that will be their end!

I found peace when I started playing PRO battles. Most battles in RU1 are like that, which is why it's the only server that I visit.

I have around ~1000 drugs each from the daily gifts, and have no intention in using them.

One battle I played today was just horrible.

The score was 46-2 (we were losing) Hill CTF, 4 versus 2 (I was one of the two). And you know what? The enemy team, composed of Lt. Generals, Brigadiers, and Lt. Colonels continued to drug their turrets off the whole game long. It was massacre. [Not the map, but the state of being completely outclassed, outnumbered, slaughtered by stupid [insert expletive(s) of choice], and generally being shown how bad Tanki can get on a massive scale]

Going out it may be a solution for the game Legolover3 was describing, but it is not a solution for a balanced satisfying game!

 

That insane drugging behavior, especially in a 4 vs 2 situation has to be avoided. And as it cannot be left up to players (as we all see), it has to be ruled! Maybe because there are many children that don't really understand what is going on, maybe for the players greed ... but this is the situation!

 

For example I avoid battles longer more than 15 minutes ... but is really this how a game should be? Shouldn't you (or any player) be attracted by long battles, for long playing time?

Another sad battle:

 

9-0 for reds, 21 minutes left. 4 new players came in (druggers) ... 10 flags in 4 minutes with a full XMAS trees field!

MATCH RUINED (again)

 

After other 7 minutes score: 9-17

 

Final result: 9-40 (lets note that they capped 40 flags consequently, as the red 9 was previous)

This is DRUGS MASSACRE ... how in any way anyone could define this "FUN" or "BALANCE"??? This is sadness, frustration, anger ... and disgust! This is Druggi Online! And not even Unity will save them from failure if they don't change this weird insane mechanism!

So what? The mods won't be able to change anything. All they do is ban people who break the rules. It seems your expectation of them is way too high.

Because if you leave, then your crystals are lost. Even if it is a small amount, it is still something. Also, there is the hope that good people will join your team and manage a takeover.

I nearly always leave because 5 minutes in a good battle are more rewarding than 1 hour in a miserable battle.

In the beginning sorry for my EN.. Here a bit from my side.. I have played tanki since 11/2014 and I enjoyed it. But in the last time I realy dont enjoy the playing tanki, because if you dont use the supply, there is no possibylity to win. Im disapointed because more and more players know only this possibility to play and win. I spend a lot of time to find the best strategy and combination of hull, paints and gun for my and buy them, increase my experienses, but why? It was wasting of time, because it is more simple to buy the supply kits and use in the play. The same feelings have a lot of my friends.. We would be happy if there is any possibylity to play tanki on some server without drugs.  And buy pro pass is no solution because in my rank is there no players that have it. Or is there any other possibility? Thanks

Come on, @RustyNail! You seem to enjoy pain.

LOL, I enjoy chalenge, not masochism. It's not my fault that most battles are like that. It's a pity really, you log to a server with 20 available battles and almost all are like this... some are complete drug wars (not interested either for those) and just 2 or 3, if you 're lucky, are ok.

And even then, nobody leaves such battles, so you can sit and wait in vain...

depth of the game is yet to be improved.... they reduce ability for this to happen by allowing only a limited selection of turrets and hullls to the game, which makes it suck even more

I think that all of the turrets and hulls are pretty good; I personally don't feel dissatisfied with the current selection. The problem (which is endemic to all turrets and hulls) is that Supplies enhance the abilities too much.

I have not been here as long as many of you and  I won't pretend to understand all these statistics or how and why they work . In this short time however, I have been made brutally aware of DRUGS (supplies), Druggers, and the absolute overwhelming feeling of being one-shot killed from a distance, as I spawned three times in a row.(that would be Rio, today). I have been in battles with a lot of good teammates and know what it feels like in those last few minutes to be overrun by drugging madmen, only to lose what should have been ours. My belief is simple; I believe in playing fairly, with skill and team effort. For my part, I have never used a supply and never will. For all of these arguments, well intentioned or not, there are those players who just come to play because it is a really great game. Drugging turns what started as a boxing match, into a slaughter, because the other guy suddenly produces a weapon. Pro passes are too expensive for a lot of people, I'm one.

I've noticed a prevalent attitude here, that when someone tries to find a good middle ground for making the drug situation better, there is always the reply that we should," just learn to do this or adapt." No! that is not an answer or a solution.

I have seen repeatedly, the browbeating that comes with drugging.( I'm living it daily!), Not only by it's action but, a lot of time by the words of the user. Just today I was witness to an argument between my teammate and and an obvious heavy user on the other team. I believe his comment went like, "well I have an unlimited credit card so get used to it." We didn't win this battle and many of my teammates left before it's end, frustrated and angry. These are the types of situations that this issue is causing.

In closing I want to thank all who are trying to have this make sense. To say that these supplies were always here and this won 't be changing, is the same thing as saying it's ok that the rich write laws stating how the poor should live,. We all know how that has worked. This "Problem" is demoralizing and unsettling to regular players who wonder why so many tanks of varying styles,and abilities combined with the strategies of the tanker and/or teamates, should not be enough to make this game exciting. Nobody likes being beat up. Especially when his opponent suddenly grows a foot taller and 100 pounds heavier. I see no fairness in that. Do you?

then how much did it succeed according to this?

Lol yeah.I forgot about that.So,what do you think should happen? We should just keep posting here and nothing's gonna happen? 

 

Too bored to play today.I don't want to be a crystal and XP generator for the rich of Druggi Online.I'd rather play a nice single player game.

when a tanker has a lot of supplies, obviously he would use it at least moderately, the reason they have 2, 3 drugs on is cuz of pickups that your team FAIL to pick up either due to lack of skill or poor luck, and normally, druggers have good equipment and skill to begin with

i think in smaller maps, this is not true... like sandbox, becuase they will be able to dominate one of the few supply points, meaning higher chance of coming in with more than one drug activated at the same time,
