Reduce power of garage supplies

A repair kit should only repair a certain amount of damage. The more health your tank has the more repair kits should be used to fix it. Imagine how useful a single repair kit is when you have a big hull with DA activated compared to the lower benefit received if you are using a Wasp.

Also, there is a big bug: when you are recharged by repair kit, you don't loose energy! You can jump on 3-4 mines with no harm!

That is really bad!

Shaft and Rail gunners have to hide to be effective. Once they shoot they are vulnerable. Nobody ever uses Rail with heavy hulls, and, Shaft's slow turret rotation makes it an easy target for something like Firebird and Hornet.

 

The thing is with Hammer/Thunder + Viking is that it's sufficient protection to take a beating before hitting repair again and again. Coupled with the massive amount of close range damage along with double damage and neither turret requires the user to actually learn how to turn the turrets. Just point and shoot.

I am one of the lucky guys who saw this:

I was on the blue team before I quit. As you can see all four of the opposing team has drugs active. Seconds before, the Mammoth had a speed boost too.

There is only one player I have seen in the year that I have played this that nearly always uses Rail with Mammoth (I believe his user name is Storm_UK). He usually parks on the hill in Rio and just picks people off on red base, or, if he's on red he'll do the same thing picking off blues. Always using DD. I usually just sit behind him with Isida and heal him.

 

Other than that seeing a Rail on a Mammoth is so rare I have to do a double take each time I see one.

Lets take an example- Esports 

 

In Esports, no drugs and the matches are most of the time tight and thrilling

 

Now for another example- Hardstyle

 

In Hardstyle, as you all noticed, they are unusually lopsided and, frankly, a bit boring.

This is because of the main difference in both matches- Drugs.

 

Therefore. no drugs = good game, happiness and fair crystals for everyone

Total drugs= boring game, druggers get loads of crystals.

I saw that Mammuth guy yesterday, on Sandbox. A Smaragd-Viking-Thunder was also with him.. but I cant remember the Vikings name. Both drugged a lot.

 

Anyway a bad map choice for the Mammuth, because it left me plenty of space to act with my wasp-rail M3.

And as he can not make use of turret+Hull turns to aim fast, he only archieved kills on large distance.

 

But I have to admit he used his drugs very efficiently, this was one point he was skilled at.

Two other effective combos of Mammoth when they are drugging: two together forming a castle - one with Isida and the other using either Vulcan or Twins. Very difficult to get rid of - especially when the one with the Twins or Vulcan is parked on the control point in Polygon and being healed by the Isida below in the small tunnel.

Some people refuse to take into consideration that others can't afford to drug constantly, so their dominance over them is certainly not a matter of skill.

The following two "winners" are like that..

p.s. they also spend like 2K drugs each, just to earn 400 crystals (each)... Especially DD and repair kits, being consumed like candies. Not to mention the mine-field I discovered not only at enemy base but around our flag as well.. They practically mine-trapped most possible routes in Rio. What a waste....

I must repeat RustyNail sentence: You clearly have no idea of business, or how much do they really earn!
 
Do you really think workers earn 5$/hour? That means that you know where the most designers work, right?
Do you know where they code? Do you know that in many countries you buy codes from people that earn 5$ a month?
Do you know where they have the buildings (if they have them)?
Do you know you can pay a domain even 5$ a year?
... just to answer your talk
 
You just blow sentences with no meaning and no knowledge, sorry!
 
Also your stat of 1/25 buyers/players is pretty low!
 
I actually made some economic estimations, based on facts, based on statements of Alternativa Platform (read some posts here and you will know who they are) ... they earn quite a hell of a lot!
 
I suggest you to take information, know wages, coding, rents or property, domain costs ... and I would add events and promotion costs, get information on locations, countries situations and taxation, make some calculations and estimates, see what comes out and only then talk about economics. Just to mention some aspects!

Ok i see. ...

Just one question: If they have all that money, why does it seem like they aren't spending a cent on the actual game???????

I typically spend about 1k-2k on DD, DA, and DS. But that's at the end of an entire day of earning, and I hardly EVER buy Repair kits; too expensive and you burn through them rather quickly. I'm actually trying to move to PRO battles; just trying to adjust and pick the right games is tedious sometimes.

 

As for the example picture that you posted, that's a clear picture of drugger stupidity; wasting supplies like that, especially Mines. I actually hate when people mine-field the maps(Mainly Noise's blue base). The only time I use a mine is to impede the progress of someone pursuing me if I'm running with a Flag, but the careless use of Mines and supplies in general is just whacked. Sure if you use them to give yourself and extra *Oomph* in a tight situation, but to just use them to get over on an entire team is messed.

What if these people are actually funded by Tanki them selves, knowing that at least some the hot blooded among us will drug back? Or maybe these are people that most win at any cost and have real deep pockets. I have heard rumor that many of the Arabs play like this and we know money is no object to most of them.

It is possible!

Sure all mods or staff are like "claque" (claque=a group of followers hired to applaud at a performance), with a precise directive to use drugs, both to stimulate drugs back and to show "look how I am strong with them"!

There are also categories where money is not a problem ... that is why devs should avoid people buying their whole "tanki career" out! It is meaningless for them and for the others (victims of their boredom)!

There are several kinds of people that would embrace such an attitude. Rich adults that want a quick release from job anxieties, spoiled brats that have their parents' credit cards all theirs and they don't know how to behave, or simply sadistic people that need to smash others in order to feel ok with themselves.

Whatever the case, it's Tanki economy that allows or even promotes such huge difference in power.

Supplies' kits and special premature kits and all about power (combos, MUs, paints, supplies)... The rest of us are meant to be the sandbox for the top buyers' satisfaction.

 

Like I have said, I wait for Unity. What kind of economy will that be? If it is like this one, I'm gonna miss Tanki :P

T.O. need pll who pay a lot of money to use drugs, or get their upgrades. Thats clear. But ive seen it on several online games, if money alow players to get advange against skilled players, skilled players get bored.

 

There is a way to avoid this problem:

 

Make between the pro-pass and kits  an other thing to buy , i call it sober-kit

 

Sober-kit

 

If u have this one u can use it in batlle by pressing the number 6

When one player use this one, all players cant use drugs for 60 seconds (more or less) contdown 30 seconds(more or less)

Ofcourse those kits need to be real expensive, because T.O. need to have incoming cash to persist.

 

Just a figment of me to think about.

The thing I HATE the most about drugs...

Is people who confuse them with skill.

Remember when skill was defined by knowing where to find the white sword in Zelda? Or knowing where the meat was in Castlevania?

So do I.

Sadly, skill now is pressing the 1-5 keys.
