Reduce power of garage supplies

Sorry to say this but we are fighting a loosing battle. Tanki will never change the supplies. They make too much money from them.

 

I have the idea that those are not only "too much money" but also the last money load from this flash ... and maybe this game too. They have zero care for the game (balance, lag, hacking, sabotaging, etc.) and for the customers ... that sound strange to me for who have a "long term" perspective of this game!

 

It seems to me that this is kind of the last money drain ... as big as possible! Like a grab and go thing!

Tanki will try and tell us that it is not possible to have an over powered account but @Godmode_ON is all the proof we need. If they can give that account over powered equipment then they can do it for anyone and probably do.  

 

The use of a shill** is not uncommon and actually would make good business sense. They make the game more dynamic and help recover some crystals and supplies, but over use can have a negative effect. I think this is what is happening now. How many times have you been in a battle and wondered "How the ....." ? How times have you then said "Fine, drugs it is then"?  Is it starting to make sense yet?

 

**shill:  also called a plant or a stooge, is a person who publicly helps a person or organization without disclosing that they have a close relationship with the person or organization.

Fully agree ... and the shill you describe, called "claque" for the applauses in theatres or public situations (people paid or asked to plause when required), is quite a used practice. But, as you said, its abuse leads to nothing good!

If you ever played Pro Mode battles with no drugs and no air drops it gets a bit tedious going the same route to the flag all the time.

The air drops cause a change of tactic, like a random selection from a box of chocolates you never know what you're going to get!

Only to a point though. For instance, it doesn't tell how drugs are used just that they are. For instance if you look at my profile it says I have used 102 double power and thats probably true as a number ...From planned drug depletion, or, I guess you could call it suicide running over mines,and any dozen of other ways  to use them when you know they will be innefective in the current situation.This is my way of using them up. 8 were actively selected and used while holding flag under ramp when  I was alone that's it. That's the true number, but no one will believe that. If they are going to list this drug use they need to start listing where they were used. That would at least be a fair representation.

Personally, I have been cleaning out all supplies  from my garage that were earned over time since you can't sell them and will continue to do this until all are gone.

I believe this part of the ratings will  cause more disharmony because now you can just accuse someone  you've never seen play and there actually may have been extenuating circumstances. I see more name calling in the mix. I just left a Rio Ctf and two opposing team members were arguing, tearing into each other over these numbers during battle.

I absolutely refuse to look at any players profile for any reason. Medals and accomplisments are one thing, but a bare, unspecific number that is accusatory by nature just listed under "use?"

I see a lot of trouble from this.............................peace

Well, in the very short time I've been playing on a couple of my lower ranked accounts, I feel that the drugging has now increased since the ranking update - just what the Devs wanted of course.

 

I feel it's a big nail in the coffin for any hope of finding the type of drug free (i.e. not from garage) games that I prefer - and before anyone steps in with the dreaded "Get a Pro Pass" - there are just hardly any games around at my rank(s), so pointless.

 

I will also reiterate that for me, it has nothing to do with buyer v non-buyer, but much more to do with the difference in style of gameplay between garage drug type games and those that only use dropped supplies, coupled with the horrendous imbalances created by the drugging type of game.

 

I will see what the new Tanki X is like when available, but I think I may have to call it a day soon if I just can't find any decent battles...we'll see...

The Forest Gump - 'life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your going to get'

I had to adjust this a bit:

 

1. I do know what I'm going to get - because I look at the label!  :0)

(Unless they put the label on the bottom of the box and they all fall out! :0(

2. I don't like the coffee ones - maybe that's part of life (and not trying to be racist or anything) - air drops in Tanki are mostly good for me unless I get sniped!

3. Easier for Wasps/ Hornets to collect them and then get revenge on the snipers!

4. I quite like knowing where to go for the bonus boxes as I learn each map.

 

The 'randomness' is not knowing if someone else has 'had it' - so I have to check anyway.

and it's fun 'looking after' health boxes = often a serious dilemma if an enemy is nearby.

 

I still like the idea of some (random) drop boxes having a ? mark on them (not sure what your going to get, it could be an 'area' bomb!)

I think some Gold boxes should be placed in difficult to get at locations - maybe even needing co-operation (= sacrifice from other players!)

One thing with the new stats, these imply that we can tell the truth about who is using garage drugs or not.

 

It means we can all join a 'sportsman club' to try and be the top scorer for each rank and have used ZERO garage drugs in that week.  Tanki will never show these top scores or even accept the existence of this sportsman club - but we do!

 

Before having these stats, garage drugs were essential in some situations and we could make a judgment on fair use.

But now, sportsman club players have something to aim at that is measurable and takes more skill.

 

One downside is that we could be considered poor team players.  However, a top 3 position should still be possible using no garage drugs, depending on the map and how many druggers.

 

I do accept what the Swede said that it's cheaper to buy drugs than to buy all MU's for each M3 tank combination.

I.e. if you get to Gismo level like him and want to try different tank combinations then using garage drugs could be accepted - but for that week you won't be in the 'sportsman club'.

Meaning, a mild use of garage drugs can be confused with using drops only. One simply never knows.

Plus, missions in maps / modes unfamiliar or unwanted, may reduce drastically the D/L ratio and / or give misleading data regarding favorite use of certain items (personal experience).

Plus, MUs are a bi-a-tch and using D/L ratio in order to define a skilled player is a not-going-to-happen.

Or, put in other words, these stats are not going to show nor skill neither druggers.

Except of course, total garage. If one sees a full line of M3 items in a fresh Gssimo's garage, one can safely conclude a buyer. Which, is not a crime whatsoever.

Come to think of it, I don't even understand why people don't want their stats be public, since these stats in reality show nothing at all.

 

But I got carried away. My point is that a drugger (even more a buyer drugger) will always have better stats than a non drugger (of the same rank)... It's not bad, it means nothing. The real question is, are we having fun? And that is the real objection to drugging. Because it secures fun only for buyers.

Going by this, I was unable to find anyone who could out-drug one of our beloved leaders.

 

So this is a quick snapshot of earlier today of some random names plucked from various places.

 

Supplies used per hour

< 20 = non drugger

20 to 40 = light drugger

40 to 60 = responding druggers

60 to 90 = raider drugger

> 90 = mindless drug warlord.

Everyone here complains about imbalance...

Try a little gem I found on Steam called "Gear up".

You'll come running back.

 

If you want a FUN F2P experience, try "Robocraft".

It combines building from Minecraft with tanks, walkers, cars, and hovercraft to name a few.

Going by this, I was unable to find anyone who could out-drug one of our beloved leaders.

 

So this is a quick snapshot of earlier today of some random names plucked from various places.

< 20 = non drugger

20 to 40 = light drugger

40 to 60 = responding druggers

EDIT: when you say "Supplies used per hour" you mean total (DD + DA + RK - and isn't SB worth mentioning, or Mines?) or every kind on its own?

 

EDIT 2: no such thing as "light drugger"... maybe there are mild druggers and totally obsessed ones, but the occasional user of supplies is not called a drugger. Drugging means always on one or two supplies, while noob drugger (code name LOL) is one that is always on all three plus the repair kit at hand.

Well there is an issue with this method since the total number of hrs played include pro 

And normal battles , with and without supplies , so someone drugging hard for 2 hrs

In a normal battle then plays 5 hrs pro battle no supplies will slip through the cracks.

now tanki has placed achivements of using drugs this will increase more number of drugers !!!
