So annoying when double damage or repair is used when catching gold box. Yesterday, I was about to get 2 boxes, then warrant officer 1 just uses double damage, kills me, and then when the box is dropping, repair kit and gets it. Like W_T_F man.

So annoying when double damage or repair is used when catching gold box. Yesterday, I was about to get 2 boxes, then warrant officer 1 just uses double damage, kills me, and then when the box is dropping, repair kit and gets it. Like W_T_F man.

It's cutthroat with gold boxes. 

 

When the Gold Box alarm sounds:

Step 1 - self destruct to reset to full health. (skip this step if you are already at 100% health)

Step 2 - hit Double Armor (protect yourself)

Step 3 - during your search for the drop zone, pick up a Double Damage if you can, or a Speed Boost

 

If you have found the drop zone in an isolated place, back up from where you came from, lay a mine, then go forward and keep the drop zone in front of you while you keep yourself hidden. You don't want to attract attention and the drop zone cannot be seen unless you are either close to it or the box is coming in view. Kill anything that touches the drop zone.

Generally...people don't really use DP when they're going for Gold; at least from MY perspective (I do it just to be annoying TBH). It's not even THAT effective anyhow, because anyone who uses a DA still has repair available. Therefore DP is irrelevant for Gold dropping...

 - Get Pro Pass to set your own parameters without drugs

 - Get Premium (has Pro Pass abilities, plus enhanced XP and rewards)

 - Suck it up, be macho about it: don't use drugs whether or not others do and just use field supplies (I do this with my alt @B.A.D.G.E.R)

 - Use your own drug supply

 - MU your equipment because "drugging is temporary, micro-upgrading is permanent"

 - Enjoy the game as is, using (or not using) your supplies as you see fit

 - Play Parkour

 - Stop playing Tanki and look at the things that actually matter in your life, like living it

 

Am I missing anything? Now gimmie my poster.

My alt isn't of rank to join the PRO club yet. It is quite a challenge. I dropped one single mine, but it was a split-second decision: tie game with less than a minute, my teammate couldn't cap because the enemy with the flag was digging right under me from the ramp and I didn't have a direct line of fire since I was right on top of him and couldn't seem to wiggle off, so I dropped a mine, he blew up, I landed on our flag and my teammate capped. We won, but now there is that one blemish I tried to keep so clean on that account.

 

 

P.S. In a few years, let me know if you opened up your own place or work for a fancy restaurant - I will try out your specialty.  :)

No, don't lay a mine, a skilled enemy will use it to get on top of you, mine also gives a cooldown for your repair-kit, meaning that you might die by someone spawning close, sneaking up on you or maybe you just drive in someones mine... anyways, it's often more harm than use.

I wasn't talking about finding the drop zone when it is crowded. I am talking about an isolated spot where one or maybe two might get to the point in time. OH, sorry for trying to make a point... guess it's called trolling, if you don't do it where mr.Rusty pleases... i only tried to be helpful.

 

Because i don't feel like being the guy who comes to a topic, and then cries about being mistreated i'll say something about drugs too.

I think i came up with a decently good metaphor, on how tanki works.

I like looking at things as mountains :P  so why not look at tanki as 1

 

 

 

Some keep pushing the mountain, instead of climbing, or paying their way to the top... then there are people like TG who have gotten on a good ledge and laugh at their attemps. Some here have given up pushing the mountain, and just preach about the hight and mass of it. Everyone is on a different place on the tanki mountain, some know the paths, and some have found comfortable plateaus in which they can do their own thing like xp/bp or gold hunt, they can compeed on the kinghood of the plateau.

Top bueyrs throw rocks at you from the highest peak, climbing there is difficult. Newbies keep pushing themselves to the mountain, while skilled players use them to climb. Some get pulled to the top by their friends, while some wonder on the dangerous creecs of it, without any drugs or good climbing gear, Occasionally a cold wind blows from the peaks occupied by Russians, and brings with it tough conditions for climbers. Sometimes fierce earthquakes known only as updates happen, they flip the peaks to the depths creating new restrictions and new peaks for tankers, maybe even new plateaus... In some days like the sales the weather is ecceptionally good, and the climbing gear is cheaper.

Some climb with partners, some have a whole team. Some form relations, but mainly climb alone.

Drugs are necessary equipment for someone who wants to explore the mountain, and climb it's peaks, without them the mountain might get better of you. So be whatever you want, The game is either a possibility or a problem, your decision.

Therefore, supplies as they are, are what Tanki wanted them to be at one point of the game (one year ago) and they can very well change if Tanki decides that many people do not accept them as they are (rumors in regard to new Tanki claim repair kit to have been nerfed).

Yeah, i get you want to keep the topic on point... even though the flamewar aspect is strong with some.

I like how you seem to write your points passionately, not to cry about something.

 

And yeah, tanki is undoubtably much easyer to effect than a vulcanic action that controls the changes in a mountain...

Atleast if the vulcanic events aren't conrolled by a higher level, that grants your wishes for sacrifising sheep or something :P

That being said i have nothing against trying to make the Gods that control the mt.Tanki make better decisions, but i personally think  the problem is allways with the one who isn't satisfied. You don't call something you are satisfied with a problem.

I think a more aware and opportunistic way of looking at the game would erase many of the problems, afterall the frustration and hard feelings are easily avoidable. One needs to see where the cliff is worth climbing, and where you can carve a stairway to it... Everyone sets their own borders for what they are willing to do for achieving, but many fail to see all the ways of achieving it, and cross their borders for sheer ignornace.

I dispise ignorance like: "I can't drug without buying" or "I can't enjoy tanki" or even,"I can't compeed here".

 

I see too much of this, not with you, But having started an alt for rico practice @0dysseus i've seen alot of ignorance and crying about how tanki can't be enjoyed by nonbuyers or whatnot, by guys who can't see the problem is with their skills and ability to plan a succesfull route even to warrant officer.
