I ran into a hypocrite earlier this morning. Accused me of drugging. Fine. A turret with M2 specs hiding under an M1 exterior will do that sometimes. Yet this person if flagrantly drugging just as he get near my flag - always wearing his 'full tiara' to my base. I could do nothing but laugh.

Me too, even if I think (assuming you are maybe around 17-20yo) that what you said is even harder for you (as I am abt twice your age).

 

Anyway, we (generic, not me and you) can "argue" as long as we want here ... but it is still a game and we still talk about nothing important ... especially compared with most real life facts.

 

I have no hate or anger whatsoever here (and actually not even in real life), but sure this is not the place for true feelings (of any kind).

 

I still use this place to relax and stop thinking about life running stuff. Of course I'd like it to be this and that, drugs, fairness, playing satisfaction and whatever else ... but I still limit everything to a game dimension! And I am sure you do the same!

 

So, despite Tanki "arguing", I smile at all of you (I mean sincerely).

At the end of the day, it's human nature to despise others having an advantage and winning. But there's a way we handle it and keep our pride: Typing "GG" into the chat and not being butthurt over something as trivial as a virtual game.

Technically you can't hate on buyers, you can dislike the amount of advantages they get, if i was on a salary of $600 dollars a week, its not that hard for me to wait for a sale and flash 1000-2000$ on crystals and never spend again, that doesn't make me a buyer does it? A buyer is someone who constantly spends cash on the game, to the average adult, the game is not that expensive at all and does not need to be played every time all the time. Thats mainly why people buy, they only have time to play the game for a short amount of time and need the extra crystals.

 

The age group who i would expect this behaviour from are kids and teenagers, they don't work, their parents won't pay on the game for them and they take their rage against players who can spend.

 

The way the game works needs to change, certain updates can be made to adjust the game balance, even so you will never be at an advantage to anyone who buys, drugs or no drugs, so you can't constantly complain against people who spend on the game as they are not the problem and never will be, that is a form of bullying and only sore losers do this.

Look, here's the difference between a person who can't aim and a person who doesn't want to use a gun like Shaft or Rail. The person who can't aim will still suck, the person who can will melt your balls off with a flamethrower. Okay?

 

I've seen some pretty beastly girl snipers before, and they can easily take down a fast-moving, agile target (that fast-moving agile target being me, of course... I don't suck!) But if I prefer going nuts with a flame or helping out my team by healing everyone to sitting behind a wall picking away at their ranks, that doesn't mean I can't aim. It means I don't want to.

 

Sorry, I'm ranting here. I'm just really annoyed at how many people say "Hurr durr you can't aim 'cuz you gurrl!" after I burn their buttocks off.

I'm surprised you're just figuring out about this stereotyping crap. It's all over the world of gaming. Even games like Call of Duty. Honestly it goes to show how limited people (mostly guys who insult girls for playing a game and kicking their ass in it) are in intellect. Who the hell are we (guys) to feel like girls have no place in world that we claim to dominate? Doesn't make sense.

 

That's a sad drugger there. Even I stop drugging if someone says to stop. In fact, sometimes they don't even have to say so. I'm not a drugger to the core to where I'm blind and deaf to the opposite team. I like a fair game too.

But even after that I apologize.

Using a stereotype of any kind is the most easiest thing to say, if a male's aaalways seeked domination (stereotype) is broken by a weeeeak (stereotype) girl.

See it as a sign of desperation, if some players can't help themself in other, more sophisticated ways :P

Drugs in this game would be no problem at all, if all the players here would treat each other with some respect.

Or in other words:

• If a notorious drugger enters a battle and is asked to stop drugging, as this was a non drug battle.. he either agrees and stops drugging for a while; or he simply leaves and searches another battle - in peace and mutual respect.
• Or if a notorious non drugger enters a battle and is asked to drug in order to not weaken his team in this full drug battle, then he either starts to drug - or he leaves and seeks another battle (again in mutual respect).

This is maybe all that it would take - and some players actually _have_ the character to live it like that.

 

 

But the principle of "enjoy to _constantly_ overpower (other human beeings!)" does not work like that. It is - by its most nature - non respectfull.

 

Therefor this mutual respect thing will not work here. Most players are too young/inexperienced to feel into the counterpart and imagine how it would feel like to be overpowered _constantly_. Some maybe know, but play this game like a single-player-game against NPCs. And finally some are simply cruel and evil, as they know what they do and still enjoy it.

 

Therefore each balanced game has rules, to prevent that. Ensuring the game makes fun for a longer period of time.

We here lack that balance.. and so the disappointment keeps growing.

The problem is not buying itself. Buying widely support the game activity and there is nothing wrong in it.

The wrong part is that mainly power is sold, in form of excessive OP drugs.

 

Tanki could sell cosmetics (as many games do, I have been told) that do not affect balance, they can sell gift (as they started to do) or customisations. Power has to be under control, like it is supposed to be with the ranks system and items availability ... that is also why I am against the kits that make items available 2 to 4 ranks before they are actually available.

 

You are right, a buyer will always have an advantage, but a MUing or a better paint advantage is fine, it is moderated (+20-30% at worst), it can still be handled and do not excessively affect the balance. Drugs as they are do heavily affect balance, with their +100%! I previously made some examples where a drugged M2 can be compared with an ideal M5+, as the M steps have abt. 20-30% increase. IMO that is too much!

 

Also the premium is an advantage on one side, as it gives you more crystal to MU equipment, but is a disadvantage on the other side, as it throw you to high ranks straight away with little or no experience and skills. So the premium feels better as he run over ranks, but then he is stuck among much more skilled players!

Yes, I understand what you mean. Despite I clearly see as virtual what is virtual (like Tanki), I have to admit (and I am happy about it) that I have also met very nice people here. So, there is the bad but there is the good too!

Unfortunately the ratio is not as good as I wished to, but IMO it is nothing worse or nothing better than real life! Probably 1 good one out of hundreds!

I don't play much either ... and sometimes I get bored to play and come here to read what's new.

I guess that it is related with the progressive reduction of skills level (IMO due to drug abuse too).

Less skills ---> more drugs (or vice versa)

 

Often lack of skills goes together with arrogance and "free insults" mode! So, the gender is just an easy (and stupid) way to support the "free insult" mode of some arrogant unskilled players, often also too young to understand gender differences and peculiarities! :)

At the time of typing this I just left a good game of Noise CTF where a Red XP guy who never went down without DA active continued to throw himself down, thinking he would escape with the flag.

Every time he was left a charred pile of scrap metal by my Firebird, and every time I learned a new synonym for "noob". At the end of the game, his K/D was 11 kills and 50+ deaths. Some people never learn.
