Maybe a small break would benefit him and provide a peace of mind, because this drugging issue is poison to all of us.

Everyone involved here could use a break and get some fresh air and breath. This whole issue is just so...punchy. Both sides of this battlefield have proven their points and given possible solutions, but someone says one thing out of the way and a truce that could've been around the corner is no longer in the description. Like I told Tomato earlier this evening, "I feel sympathy for both sides of the coin." We all need to pull this mess together.

This is an example of what I was talking about by someone saying something out of the way. Why the name-calling and putting people into categories? That's not helping defuse the situation. If anything, it ADDS to the chaos.

There are pro battles all over the russian servers... especially in ru2. I play there as well and trust me it is more fun to play non drugging battles. Moreover, I don't see any offence in drugging, as it is a part of the game.

Pro battles seldom fit our needs, most of them are XP/BP / Parkour or 999 flags or Sandbox (which is just a small map). Having to wait in vain for half my free time in order to find a suitable battle is not really appealing, don't you agree?

 

Also, coming with "it is a part of the game" argument is not much / convincing after all the debate that was going on for so many pages... although you probably skipped these pages and came right to the point where you were mentioned.

Make an effort to understand what we are talking about here.. Very seldom (and wrongly perhaps)  this matter is about a person, it really is about the setting that Tanki allows in battles.

Drugging as a behavior is a strong factor of un-equalizing the battles and enhancing the players that by virtue or money are already stronger than others.

Nobody says you shouldn't have your way in battles, but we want our way too. So a kind of separation into fewer supplies battles and more supplies battles is required. Tanki so far does not provide this separation, thus the topic's theme that implies that Tanki is no longer a free to play game.

Unfortunately, my time on week ends is very limited and I can't arrange anything. I play mostly in middle week days.. :rolleyes:

But as I stated many times so far, a drops only battle usually is the most satisfying. I can play that kind of battle even in standard format (which means self-discipline) and use a garage supply only in critical moments of score turn over or getting away with a flag, but that requires maturity on behalf of all the players...

Sadly, I don't have many friends in Tanki that share language and/or free time, so that I can arrange a friendly battle where certain rules would be respected from all. So, I often find myself at the receiving end of companies of experienced players that on top of being familiar to each other's playing style, they use a lot of supplies. You know, we have shared many battles and agree on the power of co-ordinated team players. I hope Tanki-X will deal with this unbalance somehow.

It can be very hard to tell if a standard battle has gone full drugs or not.

Even if the battle goes full drugs many of the losing team will still not drug and thus causes even greater imbalance.

 

If Tanki allowed an indicator on battle setup to say this is a full drug battle or not then we could be in no doubt.

 

However, Tanki will not do this, because over 90% of battles will be setup as low drug usage battles.

If over 90% of battles are low drug usage then Tanki will lose revenue from sales of Supplies Kits.

 

This is why I suggest the simple solution of preventing the leading team (or leading 25% of players in DM) from using Air drops.

This helps the weaker team close the gap, and druggers will have to drug even more!

Has no negative effects.

 

If I judge a battle has gone full drugs then I go full drugs but only on the losing side or if I have to 'do someone in' (and until my drugs run out).

At that point I go to the Maps where I normally don't need to use drugs (Skyscrapers and Madness) = plenty of free drops.

Tanki makes money from supplies, drugs.  It also makes money from bits of kit and micro supplies.  If some people do not want to use either or both, then their has to be a way of redressing the financial balance to Tanki.  That is the cusp of the matter.  Accepting argument and emotional leanings from both sides of the argument, until that part of the equation is balanced or made better in Tanki's favor over all financial situation, then their is little point in pursuing endless argument and emotional clap trap.  As much as players might like Tanki to be a charity and free for all, it is not.  If some would like to carry on without paying anything in hard cash, then they will have to suffer the consequences of lacking the ultimate edge in surviverbility and the ability to take out pumped up opposition.

Was doing well on a map, the battle was almost over, then some freaking colonel came around in Mammoth-Thunder M2 and ruined everything. Every single time I almost killed him the guy used a health aid and popped a dd, then killed me. The brat had the nerve to call me a noob and acted all cute about killing me. I couldn't buy supplies but I managed to kill the punk around two or three times. A brat like that guy pisses me off. If he didn't have supplies, he would of been annihilated. If I had supplies I would of put the punk in his place. The overall theme here: take away the supplies and what's left? Some arrogant hothead who thinks he's all tough when in reality he's just some spoiled brat with no skills.

Take away the supplies and you are left with a skill-less noob.

I have no drugs at the present time, nor for a while and have to accept the inevitable at times.  I do however buy them from time to time and of course use them.  The game does have its frustrations and we have our little set backs.  Sure one might feel a little peeved but we strive to overcome problems.  Your opponent obviously took the best option for him and his team, he was successful and yo were not.  Is that not what you are really angry about?  You are angry with your self for not using your better experience to overcome a junior rank.

 

A little consolation for you,  The player in question may have been only a mere junior to you here.  The player may have plenty of experience in an other life ,as a much higher rank under another pseudonym or non de plume, nick name to you.  So do not feel quite so bad, it can and does happen.  :lol:
