Reduce power of garage supplies

Do not be sad... apply the changes in Tanki X, then merge users database and close Tanki Online... ;)

Yes. "supplies are going to be removed from the garage, leaving only the ones dropping on the maps, and some of their properties will be applied to the modules".

 

PS.: I guess you refer to some comments after the post: "projects are different" and therefore won't be merged. Obviously I was not really expecting such a luxury  :)

But you get modules that are also somehow drugs.

Sooner or later everyone will get the same modules (equipment), while available drugs will never be the same for everyone.

Well, they won't exactly be like supplies but some of them will have similar properties. I can't say more than this but there will be far more interesting modules for players to save up for them than the ones which will be like supplies.

I don't even have enough strength to explain how sad I am reading this quote.

 

It was 2011 when I started thinking about changing everything about supplies in this game. I was an ordinary player back than, just like you. It is funny if anybody really think that it is me the one who should change his mind about anything regarding this situation. All I was saying in this topic is that people around here propose suggestion that will never happen the way they were proposed.

 

I know that because this discussion took place long time ago. Long before EN community was even there.

I'm sorry that I made you sad.

 

I remember that you once explained, that the discussions about supplies are older then the EN community.. and you said something like "supplies finance the game for 6+ years now, and I'm not going to be the crazy guy that put's this on a risk" (unprecise citation out of my memory).

 

I assume (I don't know, but I think so) that Tanki now earns more money by paints + goldboxes + kits via the shop... and does not depend so strong on supply sales. That also gave the freedom to reduce pro pass pricings and since then we have much more drug free battles around (thank you for that!!).

 

I don't know if this change in money income is enough, to change the +100% philosophy of supplies and protection modules down to a +50% philosophy. I once proposed a test week with something close to a +50% settings in the ideas section.. to have it tested in real conditions.

On the other hand there are players that like the +100% stuff that supplies offer.. and not in order to overpower others, but just because it is a cool gamemode, to battle druggers-vs-druggers.

 

whatever.. it's complex.

So you are saying that you hate drugs the way they are now and have been trying to change them for a long time ? but

You couldn't do it because of mmmmm, management people or the lack of another way to monetize tanki ?!! or what exactly

Terrible idea. It would throw balance out of the window.

I think it will create balance.

 

If you have a heavy hull with high hp numbers, you'll have to spend more to repair it.

 

I have a WO4 with all M0s, except for a M1 Titan and MUs around 5 and 10, and I'm doing okay in battles with some drug use.

 

Heavy hulls benefit too much from DA and RK.

Then SB should give the same speed increase for every hull. It's not fair that light hulls get more speed boost.

No, because DA gives more hp to heavy hulls.

 

They cancel each other out even before you throw RK into the picture.

 

That is why the heavy hulls usually win drug-wars. The system favors heavy hulls.

 

So I think Carlo's idea, albiet with a little tweaking, is a good one. :)

DA and DD cancel each other out. Only SB and RK are unbalanced. SB gives 40% more speed (favors light hulls), RK gives 1-100% HP back (favors heavy hulls).

It would be interesting to see a statistic about how many hours players use heavy-medium-light hulls per day. I bet medium hulls are the favorites. More HP than light hulls & more speed than heavy hulls, it's the perfect balance on most maps especially in CTF mode which is the most popular game mode.

Why the hell would you want drugs to be more expensive, its already 50 crystals for less than 5 crystal benefit! Heavy hulls and Light hulls both have disadvantages and advantages this is ridiculous good thing developers do not do these ridiculous ideas..

Well of couse SB favors light hulls. You wouldnt want to see a mammoth driving around at wasp speeds, would you?

I don't think DD properly cancels DA when speaking of hull-class unbalance, since it doesn't matter what the hull is, only the turret, for DD.

Drugs are fun and you need skill to use them

huuuhh!!!! need skills for pressing 1,2,3,4,5 button against noob or nonbuyers???   Actually need exercises for fingers to use supplies randomly in norrmal battles. If you want to grow cooldown skill then play drugwars in pro battle.

Noob you need to strategise which to press while keeping the time as a factor, this happens in non-pro battles where everyone drugs.

M0 Twins plus Double damage for example suddenly becomes stronger than M4s? xD

 

Please, that's just insane! Look up the stats of turrets and hulls and you'll see that an M0 hull on double armor is as strong as that same hull as an M2.

 

M0 Dictator + Double Armor = M2 Dictator

M1 Dictator + Double Armor = M3 Dictator

M2 Dictator + Double Armor = M4 Dictator

 

For turrets it's the same:

 

M0 Hammer + Double Damage = M2 Hammer

M1 Hammer + Double Damage = M3 Hammer

M2 Hammer + Double Damage = M4 Hammer

 

Now they won't be exactly the same but a little less powerful or maybe a little more.

 

For instance, a stock M2 Hammer will do 735 damage if all your pellets hit your target. M0 Hammer does 440. With Double Damage, M0 Hammer will do 880 which is more than 735.

 

M2 Dictator has 2,000 hp exactly and the M0 has 1,058 hp. Give that M0 Dictator Double Armor it will have 2,116 hp.

 

Giving a turret or hull double armor or double damage doesn't make it several modifications stronger, only two.

 

 

 

Only two M-levels diff?  First of all that's not always correct (see below). 2nd - how many ranks is that?  Simple answer... a LOT.

 

compare M1 Thunder/hammer/Ricco/Twins on DD. They do more damage than M4 version.

compare M1 light and medium hulls on DA - all would have > armor than M4 version.

 

Of course speed and re-load times not adjusted but - the main characteristics increase by more than 3 M-levels.

I never said I have a problem with that. I use Mammoth. I just stated that if RK is unfairly favors heavy hulls (gives more HP) than the same thing is true for SB and light hulls.

I don't understand you. It doesn't matter which hull you use when everyone has DD & DA activated, it's the same as if they have no drugs activated. You will die at the same speed. I can't see the difference.
