Reduce power of garage supplies

tanki have people work for the, u think their free or just 5$ hour? no their expensive, they know how to code, they have building to pay they have domainname to pay, and this is not one of the expensive games, look at games like minecraft, 5m download x5,50 EUR u think tanki make so much? no. its free to play tanki, and only few people buy crystals, maybe 1/25, that why there is double crystal card

Come on, admit it, you are a Dev in a random account, aren't you? :P

Why else would you be so keen on supporting the robbery they have dawn upon us?

No dude, Tanki IS an expensive game and it charges too much, giving too little to players.

They should find other sources of income, not power alone.

I just want to say, as a player that can't afford to spend real money, the HUGE (some ctf games have scores like 20-0) advantage that druggers have over me and others like me has made the game almost unplayable.  When you come to toe-to-toe fights with a player and the icon appears over their head repeatedly it's just a big sigh moment.  I know all the "these people subsidise the game" , "go and fight in a pro battle", "develop your skills" etc. arguments, but surely it's  not a lot to ask for Tanki to provide drug free games that we don't have to pay for.  Anyway, I just wanted to say that, despite all the arguments for the continuous over-use of drugs, the reality is the game has been ruined for the players unable to spend money on it and I will not be playing anymore.  It has become more of a chore to play now, with every battle outcome more or less predicted within the first seconds of the game.

Minecraft is pay once and forget about it. It's not a continuous money sucking leech. And somehow the server operators have figured out how to eliminate imbalance in all the mini-games - and most of these operators are just amateurs doing it just for fun and mostly for free.

 

What's Tanki's excuse for failing to figure out how to balance teams and matches?

Minecraft is pay once and forget about it. It's not a continuous money sucking leech. And somehow the server operators have figured out how to eliminate imbalance in all the mini-games - and most of these operators are just amateurs doing it just for fun and mostly for free.

 

What's Tanki's excuse for failing to figure out how to balance teams and matches?

So tanki need make this game a buy game, you pay 10,- to play tanki and you cant buy crystals?

In both Mineplex and Hypixel you can earn coins/gems through completion of games in addition to getting them as a daily bonus simply for logging int, or, you can buy them. Coins and gems allow you to get upgrades for the mini-games but don't give you ridiculously OP items that make it unfair or impossible for others to compete. The issue of balance is still preserved - something sorely lacking from Tanki.

Also when I play Minecraft I don't feel angry and full of rage at the developers. It's relaxing and fun - it is not a cobbled together pile of imbalanced nonsense that is nothing but frustrating. And, the updates in Minecraft make it better - not worse.

I must repeat RustyNail sentence: You clearly have no idea of business, or how much do they really earn!
 
Do you really think workers earn 5$/hour? That means that you know where the most designers work, right?
Do you know where they code? Do you know that in many countries you buy codes from people that earn 5$ a month?
Do you know where they have the buildings (if they have them)?
Do you know you can pay a domain even 5$ a year?
... just to answer your talk
 
You just blow sentences with no meaning and no knowledge, sorry!
 
Also your stat of 1/25 buyers/players is pretty low!
 
I actually made some economic estimations, based on facts, based on statements of Alternativa Platform (read some posts here and you will know who they are) ... they earn quite a hell of a lot!
 
I suggest you to take information, know wages, coding, rents or property, domain costs ... and I would add events and promotion costs, get information on locations, countries situations and taxation, make some calculations and estimates, see what comes out and only then talk about economics. Just to mention some aspects!

Have you been here in 2012, 2013? Or even before? No? Then you don't know the real feeling of drugging. Back then, druggers had the full potential! Take m1, activate all the Doubles, and dominate in gismo battle! Yeah, it was quite annoying playing drugless here...or wasn't it? In 2012-2013 period earning drugs was like very very hard - daily bonuses and by directly bying 'em. Having more than 2k drugs before gismo, it's being buyer.

Oh, I was one-shot by thunder, smoky(smoky's insane crit chance and damage at m3 and m4), railgun, shaft? BUYER.

Can't kill him within 2 mins? BUYER.

Minefield? BUYER.

So, there were, in average, 2 druggers/buyers per one big silence, or other 8+v8+ battles. Was OK, yeah. No need for PRO pass (err, the "No Supplies" battle pass") to play ok. Bonus? Special battles named exactly for full-boost enjoyement.

Let's get back to present. As the russians would say, welcome to "World of Narania"(Нара(Nara)-Drug). Players aren't joining witohout 2k stacks of Ds...

FULL +1M from me. I feel your feels. Feel my feels too :c

I created my account in 2013 so I know the feeling of druggers like that. I still want to drug like that and i want to play with gismo because i have friends who has gismo rank.

Well, see, that's how Tanki could fix some of the issues. There could be limited content or a limited amount of maps for free players. Premium players get more maps, a wider variety of paints, and the ability to drug. Premium players would not be allowed on the free servers - the free servers would feature everything in the garage now with the exception of supplies. This way the account you have determines what servers you play on.

 

Still the best way to solve team imbalance is to have a "CTF" server with each map showing up with how many players are playing - the server puts people into a queue and fills slots as people choose red or blue. This way the issue of imbalance is solved - no more 10 versus 5 - if a round starts with 10 versus 10 and people being to leave then the empty slots are filled by the order in which people are in queue. As more people wait in the queue then new matches are started until the queue is mostly empty. For example if 68 people want to play Rio CTF then the server fills up 3 matches with 10 versus 10 and the last match with 4 versus 4. As rounds end then people get thrown back into the queue - thus eliminating almost all of the imbalance with regards to numbers of players fighting each other.

The two most effective combos for non-turret turners is either Hammer and Viking or Thunder with Viking. Just drug and shoot. No aim needed. Even though many Shaft and Rail users also use DD they tend to use light hulls so they are easier to take out.

Well its worse besides the fact you can always grief servers, troll, and a creeper blows up your creation that took 1 year to make..........

A: Tanki could, and should, increase the price of drugs.

B: The game could deduct the crystals needed to buy the drugs from the persons crystal prize at the end of a battle.

C: Drug use limit.

D: Automatic deduction at the end of each week for the amount of drugs used. Because some drugs are from daily challenges (damn the developers for that) the charge will be small.

Your point for D is actually encouraging druggers to use all their drugs before the "deduction time"

It depends if the server uses the claim protection plugin for Bukkit or not (the gold shovel turns into a claims tool allowing you to protect an area that reaches the sky and goes down to bedrock).  The longer you play on the server the more blocks you are allowed to claim. The Crazycraft server I play on also has explosions disabled so a Creeper can still deal damage to the player without blowing anything up in the process.

Nice ideas. Upvoted. How in the world Tanki allows a round to start with teams imbalanced when it is also impossible to join the team with more players is puzzling. It would be fine to allow the teams to start that way, but, it would remain in a pre-round warm up period until teams balance.

Easy to kill?

I have a hard enough time trying to hit em'.

The devs never will get rid of drugs, but MAYBE we'll get something good out of the unity build.

Shaft and Rail gunners have to hide to be effective. Once they shoot they are vulnerable. Nobody ever uses Rail with heavy hulls, and, Shaft's slow turret rotation makes it an easy target for something like Firebird and Hornet.

 

The thing is with Hammer/Thunder + Viking is that it's sufficient protection to take a beating before hitting repair again and again. Coupled with the massive amount of close range damage along with double damage and neither turret requires the user to actually learn how to turn the turrets. Just point and shoot.

 

Rail and Shaft can be knocked off their aim by Smoky, Thunder, Twins, or Rico.

 

Nothing touches a Viking with Hammer or Thunder. You can't do anything to knock their aim off. They are the worst drugging combos I see.

actually shaft spinns its turret faster then a railgun these days.. so a skilled shafter is a dangerous enemy on close range too. Fortunately there are not soo many close-combat-skilled shafters on the battlefield. Sitting in scope mode for most of the time seems to not to build up close combat skills.

I would use Fire, Freeze or Isida to troll them when enemy Thunder/Hammer is reloading. :P

I have Firebird M2 with damage and burning time almost upgraded to M3 - even with DD and emptying my entire fuel charge I can't touch them. It takes too long for Firebird to recharge to be able to hit them again before they reload or just hit repair.
