I'm officially done with this game. Now everyone has become heavy hulled snipers. Boring game. Boring game. Boring game. One that I will not spend money on now. I've spent my crystals upgrading certain hulls and weapons and now they are useless. Tanki has given me the middle finger, so I'll give it right back and walk away

Give it 8 weeks and they will have made more changes, changes probably that will be in your favour.

It's the way they work. They say things like, "we have analysed this", or, "we have listened to your feedback", in order to justify unnecessary changes that encourage actual spending and then in an attempt to make us forget, TO usually coincide these changes with special events which serve as sweeteners, like x2 or x3 funds or a sale.

The EN community on the whole are suck-ups so they like anything that TO do whether it is good bad or indifferent. The other communities usually come to "our" rescue after displaying their anger and outrage. The RU topic finished just short of -200 whereas ours stopped just short of +50.

Stick with it if for a while and try to tolerate the heavies, mults and cheats. It should come back around when they eventually see the server loads dropping due to players leaving or not playing as much. That they listen to!

This update has been live a while now and the more I play the more it seems that this update was nothing to do with balance and everything to do with revenue for Tanki.

Non pro battles are now won by the drugging, over powered vulcan/hammer (using heavy hulls) players and nothing else. Tanki has suceeded in ensuring people have to waste crystals on drugs just to even try and stay alive long enough to move away from the spawn killers. What was a varied game with plus and minus points for all combos has become a camper's paradise.

The irony is that Tanki say the majority of users are light hulls, do they realise that they are actually alienating there biggest customer base?

Goose.

I do agree we are now seeing more big tanks - so Tanki have made a difference with this update.

This mostly means on CTF less tanks found in the middle of the map and fewer doing flag runs - which means more points for the wasps and hornets remaining who manage to run a flag :0)

As ever just needs a rethink of strategy - taking out the big tanks is now a bigger part of the game.

It might be that the 'publicity' about this change has caused more people to try out their big tank again - so we will see how long this phase lasts.

I still find killing big tanks reasonably easy with my wasp / rico - it just takes a little more skill and a little more MU on my gun - otherwise a 10 clip can fail to kill a Mammoth.

On my second account I have been using a shaft and hornet and find this fine for killing the big tanks.

Using a Shaft taught me that driving up point blank to a Shaft is not good - if they'ree patient enough they will kill you with a scope shot.

As some shafts are so keen to get close - point blank  - I drop a mine and reverse a bit - this works 90% of the time with most tanks - but no good for freeze, firebird or hammer - just keep shooting until you die!

Try to 'wedge' a Freeze so it can't move - but mostly if freeze, firebird or hammer get close you're dead.

If a rico or twins can stay about 20 to 40 meters head on from a shaft and keep blasting away, the buffet effect makes it very hard for the shaft to 'release' on target.

If attacking a big tank with Double Armour then either go away and come back in 40 seconds or go around the back and move each time the gun comes around.  Watch out if they now try a nitro to move the turret faster!

I'll way in on the "fast tank" versus "heavy tank" issue,  and the issue of making all tanks faster instead. The faster tanks go , the more difficult it is to keep a good frame rate going the game will hang up, lag more, especially on maps with lots of tanks.

When I started this game and often since then , I can't run a fast tank or dance around , snap fire , etc. The game don't like it.

With the heavier hulls this problem is lessened.

Besides, in most of the videos I see for high rank battles, all I see Gizmos and Marshalls using, is Mammoths and other heavy/mediums tanks, no matter the server. Light tanks? nope, not a one.

AZ uses an M3 Hornet and Rail in most of his videos I have seen.  I thought most 'tournaments' used Hornets and rail guns.

Would be nice to see some tournament 'highlights' in the v-log each week.  I would rather battle than watch a full tournament.

I think the biggest problem with 'jumping around' is the lag on the internet - if your ping rate is worse than 100 then you have a problem or the other tank user has a problem.  My ping is between 38 and 72 and everything works well at high speed with a Wasp.  My FPS is steady from 58 to 60 - I use an Alienware laptop and a Mac keyboard.

Your graphics card / pc will affects the FPS rate the most.  Turning off some graphic effects can help.

My aim is to be Generalissimo and still use Wasp / Rico :0)     Probably be using Unity by then and maybe we all have better PC's and internet connections in 2017!

When I shoot with a my other tank account (Hornet / Shaft) it can still feel like 1 second before the target blows up!  I have to be patient. :0)     Shooting with rico never seems to have much delay.

(For those that need a spell checker I use Word and copy and paste into the forum.)

I like that combination yes but I also have a full set of m4 turrets and hulls. Yes, that's a full set, all fully micro-upgraded m3's. If you thought I was moaning because you thought I didn't benefit from this update then you'd be dead wrong. All my hulls from Hunter up just got extra protection. I'm moaning because this update is bad for the game. Wasps and Hornets for any player who doesn't have friends, doesn't belong to a clan or doesn't cheat might as well leave now. This is not what we want. I don't want to see Tanki become a Mammoth fest and that's what I'm now using. Mammoth/Vulcan with Africa or Lumberjack paint. I can't tell you how many players using hornet or wasp have moaned at me for this. It's really not fair.

absolutely.

But as an other player noticed [edit: realized it was you:)], the overshot of heavy hulls is maybe temporary. I think it will simply get boring to the heavy tank users over time and they will fall back to vikings, hunters and dictators. Exactly these tanks, that I had the impresstion to see on the battlefield most - before the update came in.

Still no one has replyed to my questions if the statistics where taken correctly.. and the typical hornet/wasp - XP/BP players have ben excluded from the count. Because for my impression in normal battles the blance between hornets and huntervik/dictator was fine. Wasp was underpopulated.. but this is more likely due to hard handling and late availability of a good quality wasp (M2, M3).

But whatever.. tanki earns some money now.. and can "balance" that later on. Or they just wait until we have acomodated to it.

Not my prefferable way of acting.. but it is their business, not mine ;)

and it's our game and I'm sure they would agree.

You are right, we are vital core.. without us this would be just a piece of software, noone uses.

I guess most of them would agree (read some comments of moderators and devs on supplies.. you know ;))...

My doubts are, that they "can not" / "don't want to" _afford_ it :)

The point is, making heavy Hulls more popular. It certainly has done that.

You really believe in this? Low velocity, high price and available from fieldmarshal/generalissimo.

Well, at least at my rank, Mammoth has become a choice Hull, and Dictators, Vikings and Hunters have become more frequently used.
