Let's discuss the improved Speed Boost

After testing this update several times, I've resolved that it is a good one. However I do have some feedback:

The developers were smart in making the update not affect the acceleration speed of the turret, only the maximum speed, so I didn't have to get used to all my weapons over again with the Speed-boost on :D. It greatly helps when you're using heavy hulls and in close range battles.

I believe that this will increase the popularity of Speed-boost somewhat, however it still won't be as popular as Double damage or Double armor. Since I believe that Double armor, Health, and Double damage will always be the most popular of the supplies, I would suggest that you perhaps lower the price slightly on Speed-boost, making it, for example, 40 or 30 crystals instead of the usual 50 or 75.

That's nice but when are you going to fix the lag?  I was playing last night from a corporate net on a two-year old desktop PC and I still was getting error windows "low fps detected".  What the hell?  No "speed boost" can help you if you drive your tank like a drunken bonehead because of the lag.

Off topic, but can the isida have a push-pull effect? Like pulling enemies closer when doing damage and pushing allies away when healing? I thought it made sense since there is a transfer of health/material when it is used.

Don't you think you said the opposite? Enemies coming close to isida? WOW. Teammates escaping from isida? xdxdxdxdxd

After me , dsn\t affect much the game ... just some + points on turret rotation , isn't enought . but , after all , when you get speed bust , u got rotation speed as bonus now .

Good update but not so usefull :)

Finally, I felt like this was a major downside of using Nitro with heavy hulls.

Turret rotation and hull rotation is actually pretty important.

Great update.

I agree  , But I use a-lot of Nito already to get my Titan to move from "snail" to "turtle" speed.  :D.  Gods know I want to be in the battle rather than missing it.

Heavy guns on heavy hulls will benefit.

And yea, it mostly helps for fighting those "circling" tactics ,  that light tanks use.

Due to their updates last and this year (Decreasing freeze damage , and time an opponent will stay frozen), I will be switching to something else at the next discount ....

Tankers!

While costing the same, Speed Boost is used less frequently than Double Damage or Double Armor. We've decided to increase the supply’s popularity, so from now on, Speed Boost also increases your turret’s maximum rotation speed.

The change will come in handy for battles with active supply use, where turrets often struggle to follow tanks on nitro. The updated Speed Boost also makes heavy hulls more competent in situations where they are being attacked from behind by enemy Freezes, or when light tanks drive circles around them.

Feel free to share your impressions on the update pass in this thread and via the poll.

To be frank, as a railgunner I don't really see much diference... Any improvement is hardly felt in battle.

What the...... tanki my freeze has gone from terribly nerfed to basically not worth playing with. So much for "bringing back the balance in gameplay" during the V-Log. And here i was really looking forward to buying m3 at the june sale. Guess i will switch to thunder and firebird like everyone else in the game. Stop making the most underpowered gun in the game more so. First it was nerfing the damage, then the freeze effect. Now this. Developers: increase the damage output and it will once again be playable. thanks. ok im done with my rant.

I don't know... To me, freeze is still annoying. Caution: Use with skill :P

Sure, it's still annoying to other tanks, but it's also hard for the freeze to earn a decent amount of exp in a given time without using supplies. Earning exp with freeze is a lot slower than with other turrets like firebird due to it's way lower DPS and the fact that it's also easier to steal a kill from. I believe that this indirect nerf of freeze was totally uncalled for. This update makes it easier for frozen enemies to turn their turret and fight back. Freeze definitely needs a buff now.

Vulcan will be more popular now.......and Railgun will be a bit harder to control, but interesting all the same.

Good work fellas!

I created a new account and started to play with it beside this one. With this I have M3 Railgun with very slightly MUed turret rotation. The new account has M0 horenet with M0 Railgun. MU only the first or first 2 steps.

What do you think I missed the most? What was the most annoying in playing with a M0 combo?

No, not the speed of the hull, not the slower gameplay, not even the turning speed of the hull.

IT IS THE TURRET ROTATION OF THE RAILGUN.

For me - stepping down from the M2/M3 - this update is quite handy. I have not tried this though with M3  ;)

But I agree this might make some rookie's life difficult when they got used to the slow rotation.

Being a freeze user this make me think of changing weapons. freeze has been getting disadvantaged more and more, its becoming harder to finish in a good spot on the leader board.

I was a big fan of freeze. That was my second favorite turret. I played with it a lot.

Then the update came which nerfed it.

I stopped playing with it. Now I would prefer the Firebird or maybe even the Isida before the Freeze as short range turret.
