Let's discuss the updated system for earlier battle finish

You would think something so simple, could be added without all the glitches.

This is not simple. If you think it is, you are welcome to spell out the algorithm that can solve it.

there is no alarm when enemy team is empty, had a few times where enemy was empty and our team had to leave due to time wasting :rolleyes: , after that probably a few other players came and battle resume -_- , $$$ gone..... :(

i think the idea of the alarm going off when the other team is empty helps alot instead of waiting a long time for battle funds but alarms for any other reason is useless

I don't think there should be an alarm in this case anyway. Just end the stupid battle immediately like you would at server update.

Just say Red Team left and pop the results table.

I think that's a great idea but too simple. And what if there are still players hanging on desperately rather than leaving. When there are fewer than HALF as many players on one team after 5 minutes, the round should go immediately to 1 minute, as this is probably too short a time to let new players affect things, but would signal the upcoming reboot of the battle. Many players aim to get in at the end, to be as close to the start as possible.

its only like a 3 minute wait if someone else joins ud be able to make more crystals anyway

You think you can't join another battle or even stick around in the same battle when it restarts and make more crystals if someone joins?

I am not sure that I understand what you said here, so here goes. :)

 

In the case where an entire team leaves, it is better to distribute the rewards immediately and restart the game. If they want to wait for others to join, they still can with the new battle with zero battle fun.

 

In the other case where a team is down by more than one player, especially >25% of the team size. I think it is okay to issue an alarm within two minutes of that situation given that this situation did not happen at the very start of the battle. I mean, for the first 5 minutes, let it be (except if an entire team leaves), and then activate the system. If 5 minutes or more into the battle a team is way down and can't keep up with the other team for 2 minutes, issue a 3 minute alarm. If things do not improve by then, end.

 

I hope this explains my POV on this thing, which revolves around the same thing.

 

I want to reiterate that the point should not be preventing a team from winning by a big gap. The point should be making sure that both teams are having fun playing the game. When there is a huge score gap, neither team is having fun. The winners will be playing parkour or you would find five tanks firing at one poor tank at the same time. This is not the kind of fun I want to have.

 

When I join a 1-1 battle and it becomes 2 - 1, I do not fire unless I am fired on because that is not fair. I would actually be waiting until someone joins the 1-person team.

The system is soo iritating

it just makes random sounds every tym i know u devlopers hav worked every hard fr this project

but to make our experience try to understand that 3min is not enough to recover the damage

and i dont understand why it is asking be to do sumthing or the round will end earlier,wen my team had 7 flags and they had only 2

so this system has to be improvised fr a better experience

kay,so now it's annoying when everyone in a thirty minute battle leaves except for this on guy who thinks he can kill people alone.So my suggestion is to make a new command for players just like the one you have made for voting players.Make it like "/vote endbattle" or something like that.Even tell it like you do for the voting system on the loading screens so everyone can see how to vote.Oonce enough people vote the game to finish off,you can make a moderator come and check on how the game is going on and can finish it if they want to.

My reason to stay in such battles is simply the fund. If the loosing team has a "serious" amount of flags.. but then all leave.. it does not matter how much points you have as loser. You get a good share of the fund. So why should I leave if I spent already 20min fighting brave with my team?

In this situation, as the looser I'm just wainting for my share.. and fighting to skill up.. sitting around is borgin.

 

-> I would apriciate very much if the battle ends faster in such situations as well!

 

This was also my concern, as tanki announced the system will work only when one team is empty.

This is good.. but not sufficient.

But at least.. it prevents the horn to blow of each minute.

 

Designing an algorithm for this issue is a quite interresting challenge.. shame I like playing more then designing it :)

The "end early system" has not been operating for a few weeks now, has it been scrapped?  

 

It was operating perfectly before and as Rohrmeister says helped the solitary tanki or losing team in that they would collect some crystals rather than wasting a lot of time being slaughtered.

I am glad they invest in it. I don't know if you are maybe a programmer by yourself.. but to create a really usefull system here is really difficult.

You can estimate it by talking to people.. while some will say "no problem ,we will win this" others already say "no chance, we are lost". The issue is, that a computer has no brain.. he just knows numbers.

So you can try to think of yourself for a clear and non.misunderstandable set of rules (formulas and if-then stuff), that works in each and every situation and battle, and that has measurable input parameters (numbers.. like points scored, points socre per last minutes, flags to go.. remaining time..) - and that has one output: terminate or continue.

 

It is really quite a challenge to get a complex solution therefor.

Therefor it is maybe better they go for a simple one that covers only one or two major scenarios.. and work out the rest later on.

Fix your game.. Hackers are back.

2 days ago I saw a Mammoth without SB as fast as a Viking or Hunter in the other team. It made small leaps forward regularly. Not like a lagging tank. As it was M0 with a noob controlling it, it did not matter.
