Let's discuss the updated system for earlier battle finish

Siren is going off then its fine then its going again, you try to win but told your doing to well and the battle will end early even if your flags down. Had it today enter a battle 3-0 down alram goes off then had to hurry to cap, or let them kill.

MOST PATHETIC UPDATE EVER

 

Even when on1 team is losing the losing team buzzer shows about the good work and the roung will finish soon.

 

a team was losing 3 to 1 the winning team captured the flag and showed the losing team about the good work eventhough the other team was winning by n even bigger score

 

PLZ CHANGE THIS

Played a few battles this morning and the siren has been constantly sounding.  This was generally whilst my team was winning handsomely when suddenly a message would tell us to pick our game up or else the battle would end soon!!!

 

Way more of a distraction than being of any meaningful purpose.

 

So what are the new tactics for winning teams when the tide of war swings towards their opponents?

 

Well we could soon see an entire winning team becoming mults to end battles early and secure their funds.

 

Surely not the way forward.

I think it's too sensative now.

 

The battles I've been in so far have been full of claxons swapping almost instantly from "you're doing great" to "hurry up" with virtually every tank destroyed!

 

While I agree there is a need to have battles end early, I think when there are full teams (upto 10 players) on both sides still battling it's unnecessary. Mayber there should be a % of team remaining built into the formula too?

 

While I appreciate the clock would reset the constant warning claxons are somewhat annoying.

+1   I find the warning klaxons VERY annoying, to the point that I am here rather than playing.  Also, the early ending should be based more on the difference in number of players on each side and less on the score.

+2, +3 etc  .... I came back to this post again about the noise level.   So irritating I had to turn sound all the way off.

There are many people commenting about it ... how did this pass the quality control team (assuming there is one) ?

The early termination system is resetting far too easily / frequently.

I find that the Klaxons are invasive and entirely disruptive to game play.
Please make them stop.


I have been in multiple 30 minute battles in a row that where slated for early termination and which reset constantly, even though the dominating team continued to dominate.

It got rather annoying quickly, it went back an forth several times in the span of a minute on a lower level (Staff Sergeant) factory game of 5/6 players per side of CTF.

 

 

1.  disable the feature for the first 2-3 minutes of a battle.

 

2.  As i don't know the logic behind the scenes this may not be possible.. increase the span between sampling... Or

If a team comes back and the battle returns to normal disable the feature for 90-120 seconds.

 

3.  Disable the feature if it's a CTF and the score is within 1-2 flags.

 

4.  Disable/Delay(till better team is winning or extend time out time to 5 min) if the "better" team is losing a game DM/CTF/CP.

 

Will add more later....maybe..  :-)

I too find the "Updated system for earlier battle finish" is not yet ready for use by the general Tankionline population. The algorithms used to determine both:

  • When a battle battle becomes subject to early battle finish and
  • When a battle is no longer subject to early battle finish

are flawed.

 

  • Warning klaxons for early battle finish frequently blare at the very beginning of many battles,  followed 10 seconds later by warning klaxons terminating early battle finish. Why?
  • During normal game play,  warning klaxons for early battle finish correctly sound, but are shortly followed by warning klaxons terminating early battle finish. This process repeats over and over - It seems that the termination algorithm is flawed.

In any case, the result of the "Updated system for earlier battle finish" is a nearly constant blaring of klaxons which drown-out the very important battle sounds like "flag taken", "flag returned", turret firing nearby, and "Gold box will fall". These Klaxons are MOST irritating!

Wait a minute....

I was playing a Noise CTF, and we were losing 2-1. Then a message came telling us to Do Something or the round will finish early

What logic is this?

The earlier system was better

This changes are bad . In 15 min Polygon CP these alerts was more than "Our team have cap the A point"

 

15 min of "Doing great!" or "Do something" ....

 

Plz change some things , and make these sistem work as it must .

 

Not after every CP lost or win , your team lose or win in 3 min .

I played some battles, and only have to say that it is irritating to listen every single second the sound of end earlier... one battle I was winning 60-2, and it had appeared "Do Something or the round will finish early", 2 seconds later "Do something to finish it later", 2 seconds later "Round will close, Gap will stay normally", and every time always sounding and changing the message... I always loved to play with sound, and now I only want to turn it off!... Is annoying... I think it was better like it was before... Sounding and showing message to end earlier when only a team was in advantage. I hope you change again like it was before... otherwise I will play without sound everytime. Is really annoying and takes the fun of the game... It's only my opinion. No one has the same opinion, or is just me? :S

I have to say the early battle finish is a good idea on paper but in practice its out of control 10 times on then off in 1 battle so 20 sirens its not doing what it says on the tin, not a fan of it in its current state and I'm talking to so many players saying the same thing 

 

Before the update it didn't go off when you expected it to and you had to wait an eternity, or it went off after the first kill in battle every time. Now its way to much, it detracts from battle play. If this is the final version it will significantly change my game experience to what can only be described as scraping your nails over a chalk board to get the high pitched squeal that sets your teeth on edge.

 

On a positive note, the little red clocks you can see are cute 

 

 

 

edit after a 30 minutes polygon cp battle every time the cp changes hands the siren goes off so 200 times at least, I now have the worst head ache from playing tanki ever please change this so it works effectively thanks
