Factorize

i)  x^4 - 16

ii) x^2 + 4

Note ^ stands for power or exponent

i am not that that good at math, but i can't resist a challenge

x^4-16= (x^2)^2- 4^2 = (x^2 + 4)(x^2 - 4)

= (x^2 + 4)(x+2)(x-2)

= (x^2 - (2i)^2)(x+2)(x-2)

= (x+2i)(x-2i) (x+2)(x-2).

This is what i studied two years ago lol. but complex numbers we are yet to study. thankfully i got slightly extra knowledge. but im still not that good.

Find the inverse function of function f (x) = 2x-3

Fufu, I don't think I would call my maths knowledge bad but it's way above average. Also, there are multiple ways to factorize it as it's a general equation. Meh,no more math. But I'm just curious..in that question of yours, do we have to use derivative to factorize it or just logarithm formulas? ._.

DFLMNNO, there is no derivatives to it. if you're asking on the second question, you just have to use logarithm rules to solve, no calculus.

I don't know why, but when people say 'derivatives' i just lose it. 

btw, we are going to study calculus soon, but not started yet.
