How about a Vote system for players?

I played a game last year that had a voting system: you could vote for team members who helped you out,

or who displayed skill, and, even opposing players who won your admiration.

I think it would be cool to have something like this in Tanki: there have been opponents who displayed great skill that I would vote for, and team members who have helped me out in battles that I wish I could have acknowledged somehow.

That will always be used for free crystals by friends and will also generate a lot of flood in chat where people will be asking for votes. I'm not sure if it's possible to add such a system without disrupting the financial balance in the game.

i dont like the idea cuz last year my score 5 012 in battle i was 1st and they all said they will vote me and they kick me out before battle finsh its unfair

:lol: He meant a voting system that will Reward players you think are good.

 

I think lordmostafa pointed out the only problem with this idea...other than flood and financial unbalance, this would be nice to have. :)

The game I saw this feature in was Contract Wars, take a look and see what I mean. At the end of a session, when the player's scores came up, there were boxes by each player's name where you could enter a vote (you were allocated 3 votes/day). There was the occasional player asking for votes, but not too often. Generally, you would vote for an opposing player if you liked their playing style/skill etc., or, you could vote for a team member who 'had your back' during game play. I use Hornet & Isida in Tanki (99% of the time), and help heal my team members a lot. As a result, I've had a fair number of team members Friend me, and even a few opponents have Friended me because (I assume) of my playing style; I rarely use battle chat, so it's not because of my witty banter ;)  It's due to the players who Friended me because of my game play that I thought of this Voting idea. Instead of a crystal reward for votes, what if, when you  accumulated a number of Votes (i.e. 100), they increased XP? (100 Votes=1000 XP)... Just an idea

I like this idea if the reward comes only in terms of additional XP.

 

It seems better to me that the voting options pop up at the end of a round, however the time to make a vote would be short. It'd give you something to thing about for 10 seconds while the next round loads and while you decide if you are staying in for the next battle.

 

There's no need to disrupt the crystal economics and I think people will stop flooding chat with vote requests when they realise that would work against them.

On the other game where they have this voting system (it's a Positive Vote system, same concept as Like on Facebook), there are always a couple idiots mooching for votes, but they are generally ignored.

I have Tanki chat turned off due to the mostly annoying mindless chatter, and people practically begging for others to Friend them.

If there were a Voting feature here, I don't think there would be much of a difference between ppl mooching for Friends, or Votes in chat ;)

In fact, if there were a Positive AND Negative vote, ppl mooching for votes might find it worked against them...

There could be a green "thumbs up" symbol for Positive Vote, and a red "thumbs down" symbol for Neg Vote.

This system might encourage better game play as well: players who hinder game play (i.e. running and hiding with the flag instead of planting it) could earn Neg votes, and the same result for players sabotaging games.

Hmmm it would be interesting to see an individual player's record in team-helping/support. Of course, the problem would be if we could trust the previous judgement of other players when some critiques could be biased.
