Has Zeus paint some hidden power?

Recommended Posts

I'm currently using a Thunder M3 with 20/25 Damage and 21/25 Impact: not the maximum but very close...

I was in Silence CTF where I met a couple of Viking Isidas wearing Zeus paint (unmistakable with the blu background and white veins).

Zeus paint provides protection from Smoky, Firebird and Freeze and, as far as I know, no protection from Thunder.

The Isidas were for sure maxed Vikings so ensuring the maximum protection.

Well, I tested it many times because I couldn't believe my eyes!

I hit one of these Isida 7 (seven) times with no power up on my side and none on his side (shield or energy: I looked at them carefully!).

In the meantime other various weapons hit him and only after the seventh hit by me (but I'm not sure I was the one who killed him) he died!

The rank of this guy was obviously Generalissimo.

When I'm hit by weapons that I have no protection from, despite I use a MAXED Viking in 2 or 3 hits they kill me.

I'm kindly asking: is it normal???

Is there a better protection when you get Generalissimo, that is: M3 is sturdier when used by this rank?

Does a MU on this paint (Zues) affect also other weapons?

I still don't understand how this is possible.

I've seen too many unexplicably invincible tanks lately....

If I'm wrong, please explain.... or I drive completely mad!!!

Thank you!

You were vs viking isida's, how do you know they did not self heal before you hit them (seeing as they had no protection) Zeus has no hidden power, they were simply maxed, your words over mine :p

It's only when you're maxed out yourself you notice these things.

20/25 and 21/25 are both over 97% complete.

When I used my maxed out Zeus on whatever maxed out Hull I'm using, I can't last half as long as some of these guys and I am skilled enough now to know when to use the repair kit best or when to use self-heal.  I know exactly where you're coming from.

I too have hit these guys with maxed out turrets, eg, Thunder, Railgun & Rico and they last far too long.

The implication is that some of these guys are hacking. Proving it is the hard part.

To prove hacking, you have to assume the guy you're trying to kill has max protection and you have to assume that every shot inflicted on him causes minimum damage. So if your turret's damage reduces with range you also have to somehow take that into account.

If there are protection hacks going on then they will be subtle enough to avoid detection but enough to give a significant advantage. You'll find lots of players will always find an excuse as to why players last as long as they do and I'm always suspicious of these players.

I don't think it is possible for protection hacks to exist. Although, sometimes , due to lag my tank becomes invincible. No turret is able to do damage to me and I can't damage anybody else until I refresh the page.

In your case, isida must have self healed or the distance might be big so you might not have been doing as much damage as you think. Also, it is possible that you might have been hitting something near to viking. Splash damage of thunder will obviously do lesser damage.

I've seen the same thing with Zeus.  Hit a Zeus viking with no double armor with an M4 shaft with double damage.. and the tank survives.  I don't care how much self healing an isida can do,  an M4 shaft with double damage is hitting at 520, should obliterate the viking.  I've only noticed this "glitch" with zeus paint and when you see a clan enter with 75% of their tanks wearing zeus it becomes obvious the battle isn't worth the supplies.

M4???? What is this???

I thought maximum was M3...

Unless you consider as M4 a fully maxed M3...

Anyway, I was very close to the Isida to notice he didn't use the healing power.... so close that I should pay attention not to be damaged by my own bullets...

Yes, it's common to call a fully MU'd M3 piece of equipment "M4, despite the fact that it's not an actual upgrade.

Since you were very close to the Isida, then it must have been attacking you and getting self-heal in the process, which is why it took notes shots to kill than usual. Zeus definitely doesn't have any other "hidden" protections and neither do the rest of the paints, so it must be one of the other factors, most of which have already been mentioned above.
