Smoky vs. Hammer vs. Thunder - choose!

If i had a choice, it would really come down to either Smoky or Hammer. Smoky is really nice in maps like Noise, Polygon, and Sandbox. On the other hand, Hammer is very effective in maps like Ping-Pong, Farm, and Island. To be honest, the debate will boil down to which map/style of game-play you prefer.

i just go to cramped maps

or maps where i wont constantly get sniped

You cannot make choices between these turrets as each one has it's own characters and features. Each one of them is perfect for some situations and is utterly useless in some. 

For example, in a Polygon CP, Thunder is a BEAST. You can demolish tanks standing in the center with it's splash damage, while Smoky and Hammer are less effective. So if someone uses Thunder and players a lot of Polygon CPs, he would definitely say Thunder. But if someone plays Island CPs for example, and he uses Thunder, it wont be as much effective as Hammer, so if he tries both, he'd say Hammer.

 

In conclusion, what all that talk was about is that you can't compare Turrets effectively unless you have the same conditions :P

you can compare they all have limited effective range they function similar
