some change in CP (might be good)

I came with this idea when I was playing league if legends. The idea is about to make a change in CP where you need to shoot at point to capture it. I mean if enemies have captured point A (for example), so it's their now, so now the point A for itself deals the damage to the opposite team if they get close to it. And they need to "kill" a point, so by shooting at it, it decreases, until they capture it. And the point for itself heals the team who took control over it. When you get close to the point, you see a line, now it should deal the damage, or heal if it's same team in radius of 10m. Damage is not high, it's small but it can kill. In league of legends I saw this, you need to shoot a tower to make it yours, but it constantly deals the damage to your team members in a circle of 10m. But when tower's health bar reaches 0, then it becomes your tower, which heals now your team members, and with full health again. I think you can understand now my idea. So what do you think?

I don't know.... It's not a bad idea, but I like CP as it is.

I think the healing and damaging effect is a @I3rilliant idea. :P (The +HP for friendly tanks should not be too much, because Mammoth Campers would be too OP.)

 

But, if you are able to shoot at the point to capture it, then a few maps I can think of would be less fun to play with.....Polygon CP for instance, would be filled with Shaft Campers. Not very dynamic game-play, if ya know what I mean.

Yea I understood what you said. You mean some maps can be full of shaft players, and they just shoot at the point without moving from a place they stand. Well in that case, I shall suggest that you cannot deal the damage to a point until you get close to it. Also with my idea, you should see a circle around the point which is spread out around 10 meters, and colored into a color which team capture it. And you can shoot at the point right when you cross that circle, of course the point for itself will damage you too, and after you kill it, it will heal you then. (But damage and heal points should be small, because like you said, mammoth defenders would be OP.)

I like this idea. But there shouldn't be any hardness for shafters. And of course point shouldn't heal itself.

 

Points heal can get higher with ranks of players who in the battle.

I'm always mad when im at a point together with an enemy which has noob equipment. so i cant capture the point. its more common when the highest rank, or the most expensive tank can capture it. Not as fast as normal.

Any reasons why don't you like it?

shooting at the point to cap it is too easy & no one will have to come near the point u just have to shoot it from a distance

It won't work as everyone will just get Shafts and snipe the points from one location. It won't be fair to other guns.

For every type of game, some guns are dominating. Do you see any shaft in Polygon Cp or İsland?

 

And, shaft's TDPS is 40, Twins' 56, Vulcan's 70.

Shaft will shot with low damage from anywhere, twins and vulcan will come near and hit strong

ok now, you cannot hit or kill the point, until you get close to it, like you cannot capture it then, and point should spread out a circle around 10 meters which marks base of the point, and if you cross that circle or step over it, then point starts to damage you or heal you (if you captured the point), and in that radious you can kill the point, so shafts won't camp from and shoot from distance.

Already yehere is a CP mode for just medium-short ranges and so popular.

Like CTF and CP. You could something good for medium-long range

Medium ranges dominating every mode already.

So, no I wish there were something good for long ranges and funny

Like I said, if you are able to shoot the point, it'll be too easy. Can you imagine how easy it'll be for Hammer? Firebird? Freeze? I think the idea of the +HP/-HP is better without this.

I don't know.... It's not a bad idea, but I like CP as it is.

My feeling exactly.

Basicaly, CP is fine as it is. But this idea of a "base area" that heals - slowly - friends and damages foes is good. Maybe it can be implemented as a variation of CTF? Where healing and damaging requires the flag to be present (that is, if flag is taken base area stops interact to players)..

 

Think of it.

 

(I know what Devs will think; "heal team-mates? And not needing our precious health packs? Forget it!" LOL)

Well, the +HP/-HP effect would't be very high.....maybe 5-10 damage per second.

Short range weapons can actually reach the center of a CP point without connecting to it.
