Well, Hazel did say that he has something planned to make communication better. They don't plan on separating battle by language (like how it sort of worked with RU and EN servers), that's for sure. But the issue with players not understanding each other in battles is definitely present. So I did hear about plans to add a "quick chat" option, where you would have hotkeys for certain pre-made messages (e.g. "Please defend!"), and those messages would be pre-translated and saved on the server, so when you select the message, for you and other players with the English interface it appears in English, but for players with RU, DE and PL interfaces the message appears in their own language.

 

And if that will get implemented, then I see no reason not to also add smiley faces and other emoticons, like what this topic suggests.

I love the hotkey feature, I just hope that it isn't something that can be spammed, i.e has some sort of auto flood system is used more than 3 times in a certain time.

He said it himself (here or elsewhere). Just because he's a dev, doesn't mean he can just take his own ideas and put them into the game when he wants to.

I wonder if, similar to this, there could be options in chat to give specific chats. Meaning you could click an option to say "Heavy Tanks defend" That would translate to whatever language the person's client is in. That may be a bit much though

A quick command chat system and a map like world of tanks blitz would do this game a solid. I should know because i found it helpful when used right.
