Moon Silence - Yes or no?

On this topic, you can discuss the famous map Moon Silence.

 

Moon Silence was a popular map, and it was removed due to hacking problems in 2013.

 

Why is Moon Silence removed?

 

Most people were curious and wanted to know why this amazing map was going to be removed. It turned out that the reason it was going away was actually because of the players themselves. Not all of them though.

A small amount of Moon Silence players were cheaters and hackers. Because Moon Silence was one of the most popular maps in Tanki for both low-rankers and high-rankers, it made sense [to them] to make cheats. The biggest cheat and one of the most annoying one was called the infamous Fly Hack.

The name says it all. It allowed players to basically fly to where ever they want. Because of the low-gravity and design of the map, people used this as the advantage to take & capture flags. It is an unfair way of playing Capture the Flag in Tanki. But now Tanki Online's anti-cheat sistem is stronger and there may be a chance of returning Moon Silence or making new moon maps.

Also, there were a lot of glitches in Moonsilence.

 

MY OPINION ABOUT MOON SILENCE:

 

I think that Moon Silence isn't guilty for the hacking problem in the game.

My opinion is that the removal of Moon Silence increased the hacking problem in the game, because hackers started to search new victim maps. Today, in the Game violators section, you can see many players complaining that someone used fly hacks in their battle, so - MS removal didn't help Tanki at all.

 

WHAT SHOULD TANKI DO ABOUT MOON SILENCE?

 

- Return the map

- Decrease the gravity in the map.

- Improve and fix the map as TO did with Madness.

- Moonwalker paint would be improved:

 

Protection:

 

Ricochet - 25

Hammer - 15

Vulcan - 10 (my example)

 

- Maybe, a special holiday paint to celebrate the return of Moon Silence.

I believe Hazel once said that it won't be coming back. The problem was of course, the hacking in the map, you are right. But it had to be removed forcefully because they could possibly not fix it, or there were too many complains about it. I too loved the map, it was really fun.

Hey! As the developers announced before, the map will not be returned. However you can still play in Silence map which has the suggested decreased (normal) gravity :) .

I don't like the present-day Silence, Moon Silence was a good map with that space skybox, sounds and other.
