How about TO implements stuff in the chat saying when a player goes on Pause? Because sometimes it's so freakin annoying when some1 in your team pauses and doesn't do anything for you,but you have a bad laptop and you can not take a video to capture the mult?
For example:

Player "Hazel-Rah" has Paused the game
Player "Hazel-Rah" has been inactive for 1 minute without gaining any score.
Player "Hazel-Rah" has been inactive for 3 minutes without gaining any score.
Player "Hazel-Rah" has Paused the game.
Player "Hazel-Rah has been inactive for  5 minutes (3+1+moving his tank to reset the pause) without gaining any score.

Most of the time this text will be just extra, unnecessary information, that mixes with actual chat text and makes it difficult to read. It would be better to have this (and possibly other information such as battle chat history, ping, average score per minute, equipment grades etc.) stored in a separate file, which you would then be able to view and download if you wanted to report a player for a violation. This would help players report "mults" without video evidence and moderators would be able to check the chat history in any battle without even having to enter it and be there to witness someone violating chat rules.

I agree very much with the "will mess the chat up" point above^

But on the other hand, I like your idea quite a lot, it's an interesting concept.

Maybe if someone doesn't want any more chat messages he can just turn them off? If can't be bothered to report etc.

I personally would not turn them off, I hate mults <_<

Though I like this sometimes I also 'mult' by being inactive for some time ( drink, break over, etc.)

If it's a short break,it shouldn't harm your team at all and you should not be considered as a mult :P

But the difficult thing is how TO has to register those files and keep them. 999 minute battles or Server restart → next server restart battles files are going to be very big to really download in a fast way. But yeah, maybe they can put the pause thingy somewhere else or just make the text smaller and put it in a yellow(to warn the playerrs) → orange(when he has been away for quite some time → red(When something suspicious is happening  ) or make a seperate chat?

Also I do not agree with the unnecessary information,it should be usefull to the team, and also, how often do you think 1/2 people of the battle pause the game at the same time?

Still, thanks for sharing opinion, also don't forget to vote if you haven't already! :P

Maybe they can be turned off,but me personally,I wouldn't recommend turning it off if you want to have a fair gameplay.

Like, who wants gold box warning to be turned off?

What if we limit time you can be in the battle inactive and remove pause option entirely, but allow you to rejoin battle witout losing you score? Until current round is active, of course.

So, someone can join when you're gone and you'll have to wait for a spot to become empty when you want to rejoin?

Yeah, but if you rejoin eventually, you won't loose any of your score at all

That's an excellent idea. It will also help if a fatal error happens or if we click on the no option when the staying in battle while visiting the garage choice appears.

Well, this would be pretty awesome.

But, I guess what these guys (I surely am :P) are asking is a way get rid of those 'mults' who join you're team to help his/her friend in the enemy team, and he obviously won't care about the score and just stay in the battle to help his friend.

But,Pause-Mults don't care about score at all.

This would still be usefull for when you have to for example take a long break to go to the bathroom and do not want your team to lose the game,so you invite a friend untill you come back you know xD.

But how would this work?

Also, guys, don't get off-topic too much

First of all, I think is a nice idea and can be improved further by feedback. For those who say it will mess the battle chat I completely agree and have a solution for this maybe players behavior should store in a log "let's say it Battle Log" and players would be able to view this by pressing "B".

On the other hand, it covers only one aspect of multing, that is by pausing and pausing again. What about those who mult by using low grade equipments, we need more ideas to stop mults.

Limiting time seems to be a good idea. But, removing pause option entirely "NO". You can keep them both at the same time. It would be bad for TDM's resulting in easy kills for enemies when player is away from keyboard or inactive.

What do u think about this guys :) .

It would look like normal Battle Chat. And to differentiate it from normal Battle Chat its text colour would be different e.g when we report someone its text appears different.

Good idea, and effective against mults.

I would ask you to consider whether the pause period might be different for different battle duration, that is, longer for longer battles.

In a 15 minutes battle I can do without a break for refilling my cup of coffee, but in a 999 battle maybe I would need to do it, or use the bathroom... So perhaps a 60 minutes or a 999 flags battle can allow a bit more of a break than shorter battles do...

@taz4U I already talked about changing colors in a previous post on p2,take a look :P

@RustyNail,if you're talking about my idea, the Pause only allows you to be away from the game for a total amount of 5 min,in any kind of battle, making this shorter in a shorter timed battle I have no problem with, but making it longer could encourage mults more...
And if you're not talking about my idea,I have no idea what you're saying because it isn't effective against Pause-Mults ;-; XD

I was refering to Hazel-Rah's idea of shortening the pause period to 2 minutes. For short battles I think it's ok but longer battles must give the opportunity for a player to be away for 3 or 4 minutes, that's how it takes to do .. all the usual stuff LOL.

EDIT: Besides, a mult is not determined by a 3 minutes absense once, but they continously undermine the battle...

@RustyNail,ofcourse not,but when you see a guy, continuously pausing for 3 min, moving his tank a little bit,and pausing again, you can see a pattern in his behaviour, and you can find out if he is a Pause-Mult,or not.
