Small Q&A on Alternativa Editor:

Q: Alternativa Editor lags?
A: This happens when you are looking at too big a part of the map, and are having to display many props, it can be solved by always being zoomed in, or changing the the physical model of each prop ("View" "Collision geometry" (ctrl+2)).

Q: Sprite disapears?
A: This happens when you have snapping disabled, and have moved a sprite, it sometime makes it look like the sprite is underneath the grid, and it can be fixed by using click+drag+V with the sprite selected, and snapping disabled.

Q: Undo/Redo glitchs?
A: The Undo/Redo buttons will undo/redo the last action you performed, but not on the tile you originally performed it, instead on the tile(s) which you have selected.

Q: Which to use: "Export map (v 1.0)" or "Export map (v 3.0)"?
A: "Export map (v 1.0)".

Click on "Библиотека" "Загрузить..."(Russian)

Guidelines for making maps

Use only old props or only new props, do not mix them.

Mix tile props, don’t repeatedly use the same tile prop.
Don’t overlap props (you can overlap spawn points and flags but nothing else).
Try not to have too many open spaces.
Make sure that both sides are equal, and one side doesn’t have a huge advantage against the other.
Try and not make your map symmetrical.
Make sure the flag positions are easily known.
Place spawn points on the ground.
Place bonus drops 2-3 above the ground.
Try and keep your map under 2.8 MB (2867.2 KB), which is a good guideline for size, and also the actual limit for maps.
Examples of making maps better by adding props, and changing the texture on props(using the blue sphere button):

Any maps you have made, and would like to share with other players can be posted here.

To test your map in TanksTestingTool, do the following
Load (if it isn’t already) the "func" library. Place at least 1 (deathmatch) spawn point on the map. Save it and copy your map into the TanksTestingTool file. Name it "map.xml". Load Tanks Testing Tool.

Small Q&A on TanksTestingTool:
Q: TanksTestingTool lags
A: This happens when you are looking at to many props, so keep zoomed in, and keep your camera confined to a small part of the map.

Q: It loads a blank box
A: This happens when you havent included any respawn points on the map, open it up on Alternative Editor and add some Deathmatch, Blue Team and Red Team respawn points.

Q: It says "Map ???? Succesfully running" and doesnt load anything
A: This happens when you havent choosen Flashplayer as the program to run the map.

Q: How do I choose Flashplayer to run the map
A: Go to "Start Settings" or "Настройки програмы"(English/Russian) and choose "A specific run through the Flash Player" then "Running through the normal version" then "Save"(English)

Loading maps
Copy the wanted map the main folder, and rename it "Map.xml"(rename/delete any exiting files called that).

loading TanksTestingTool
I recommend using flashplayer, it is easier, and allows you to use all of the controls

Flashplayer:
Open flashplayer. Click "file" "open" "browse". Browse to the main folder of TanksTestingTool, and choose the file "TanksTestingTool.swf". click "open" "ok"

FireFox
Go to the main folder of TanksTestingTool. Right-click on "TanksTestingTool.swf". select "open with". Choose Firefox.

If any of the web browsers do not appear on the list, then click "Choose default program" and choose what you want
