Greetings, readers. The 9th edition of Ask the Community has arrived! This month's question involves a particular scenario in the battleground. Also, if you have any suggestions in regards to what questions you'd like to see asked to the community, let me know in the comments below, and if they're enthralling, expect to see them in the coming issues. That being said, let's crack on!

This month's question is:

Which combination would you utilize in a Polygon CP and why?

@samlauncher: The best and dream combo capable of scoring big would be Firebird and Hunter, firebird has the ability to heavily damage multiple enemies at the single point and congested groups elsewhere, the high dps means that in 1v1 when in close combat almost makes sure u live through it, even if you dont that afterburn would quickly finish off the enemy. Hunter has good speed especially in m2/m3 to catch up to opponents as well as hide and patrol around polygon looking for prey. Polygon isnt such a big map that range would prove to be a problem as long as you are nimble. The next best turret would be thunder, because of that awesome splash damage and infinite firing rate, pretty sure most would say this as 1st,  if opposition has quite a lot of fire protection, thunder would be the next best, and vice versa.

@delnina2I would utilize a Titan Isida in polygon CP. Titan is a heavy hull and faster than mammoth,Titan can reach to the point quickly, And to stay there for a long time, Thanks to the high push-power Titan can push enemies from the point, thus titan, gives to his team more points. also because of the titan's height, titan can hide from enemies's shots in that "tunnel/cave" and to stay connected to the point . For me titan is the best hull for any CP, Especially in polygon. Titan is my main hull . Now about isida, Isida used to be the popularest turret in tanki thanks to it special ability - self healing. Self healing is an important feature in isida, the self healing can help you to stay for a long time without frist aid in the battlefield, especially in cp battles, In polygon the location of the point is in the center, where all the enemies can shoot on you, and you cannot take Firstaid without leaving the point ( You do not use drugs) . So self healing gives a huge advantage to your team and to your self. About the healing and damage of the isida, The Damage is pretty high, You can kill a dictator easily. The healing helps your team a lot . They dont need first aid, they can stay a long time in the center, connected to the point, also the healing can help your teammates to kill enemies, and of course to keep on your point for a longer time. This is why I think that titan and isida is the best combination for polygon CP.

@CombatCat2On a map like Polygon, with only one control point, mass destruction is a must. A way to run in and kill everyone at once, and the only turret that can really do that exceptionally well is Firebird. It will shoot everyone at the point at once, clearing the path for your teammates. And if you die, the burn damage will still be effective enough to allow your teammates to do the job, or for you to come back. Now, Polygon being a mid-sized map, a good hull for it would be fast, with decent health. The best hull for that role is the Hornet. It will allow you to cover the entire map quickly, but still be able to engage the point. The speed of Hornet allows it to quickly get from one side to the other, which works well for taking out snipers, but it’s modest health still allows you to go head-on with a few people at the point. You may be thinking that Hornet doesn’t have enough health to stay at the point once it’s captured. Well, staying in the open, or right on the point, isn’t a good tactic, since anything can shoot you in open space. But there are buildings and walls surrounding the point, a Hornet/Firebird can hide there, killing anyone who comes. Hornet/Firebird is definitely a must for Polygon CP.

@Yisroel.RabinI personally would use Thunder and Dictator. Why, you ask? Well for starters, Dictator is the only fast yet well armed hull, thus not only getting to the point quickly, but also staying there for some time. Also Dictator is the best gold hunter hull, and since Polygon is famous for golds, perfect fit! But why Thunder? As many of you know, Thunder is a splash damage turret. And how many CP points or in Polygon? Yes, only one! So, when all the tankers (on the other team) rush to the middle, just stand on the outer side, and shoot! A few shoots and the coast is clear to charge to that one point! Also a little fact; low on HP? Don't hide or run, look for a death. Why? It'll increase the chances of you having full HP, which means you might have full HP when something good happens. For example; a gold box.

@dhruv200I would use Fire and Titan. Titan because its a good heavy hull and has good HP. It can push light and medium hulls like Dictator,Hornet,Wasp and Viking. Though Mammoth has more HP than Titan. Players more prefer Titan for its Power and Weight.  And Fire is the best small range turret and can hurt and burn many players nearby it. As it is CP battle many players will be there capturing the point. And! Fire M2 has more DAMAGE than FREEZE M3 and ISIDA M3! So think if its M3?!!  And if Gold box drops it can burn many player (of the other team) and may kill them and get the gold!  If with drugs it may be like a beast to the other team!  And may help a losing team to with the CP battle!  So This it why i would use Titan and fire.

@Stinger911I would personally use Titan and Isida, especially in single-point CP matches. Why you ask? Titan offers a great deal of protection so you can survive those crucial extra seconds while having a bit more speed and maneuverability than what Mammoth has to offer so you can at least catch up with your teammates. Titan is can also push enemies out of the points due to it's great power and weight. Isida keeps your team alive for much longer, and when paired with Titan, you can make yourself a mobile healing station, being hard to kill while continuously providing your team HP. This is why I'd use Titan and Isida. See you on the battlefield.

Which one would I utilize in Polygon CP? Well, that's a tough choice. I have many favourites for this game mode, but asked for a particular combination, I'd go with Viking and Thunder. You see, the main objective of this game mode is to get rid of all the tanks who are capturing your team's point and get it yourself. And since there is only one point in the whole of the map, it tends to get as crowded as our country's local trains  . The outcome is unpredictable, and when teams start using supplies, things tend to go out of hand. One needs a turret which can eliminate as many enemies as possible in one shot, therefore I use Thunder. Though, sometimes, Railgun also does the trick. Once the needful is done, one needs to survive long enough to capture the point before the enemy's druggers reach you, and need a hull which can reach the point quickly once you respawn, therefore I go with Viking, sometimes switching over to Dictator or Hornet. Of course, one can use any combination he wants, because Polygon is a super-dynamic map, especially in the ever-changing-scenario-filled CP mode, but when it comes to comfort, that little extra HP or multiple damage possibility makes the difference between winning and losing, and that's why, this combination is my personal favourite in a Polygon CP.

@thunderousrailgunnerPolygon CP is a single-pointed CP Map and as we all know, players will gather it at one point. This is a great scenario for any multi-hitting weapon. IMO, I would use Thunder with Hornet. (Yeah Light Hull). Cuz other than "Stand And Deliver " I intend to use Peek - A - Boo with Thunder to confuse the opponents with constant moving where no place is good enough to hide in Polygon. The Splashing Effect comes live here as it takes a pinch of health off all the opponents who are gathered at a point in a single shot. In Paints, I would go for a Paint like Rustle - Protecting from yourself as well as Freeze And Isida. Polygon CP is a good mode that a Thunder player loves to go to  .

: My personal preference is a Heavy Hull(Mammoth or Titan; although my main hull is Mammoth for any map/game mode), and a Turret that does damage to multiple targets and puts constant pressure on your opponents. I use Thunder all the time, but you can use something like Firebird or Freeze if you're not a fan of Thunder. You might ask, "Why not try Hammer? It damages multiple people too." Well, Hammer's a close range gun for one thing, and also you have to take three shots before you have to reload, and the reload time isn't exactly something you need to wait several seconds on. It does good damage due to the spread, but do you really want to suffer because of the reload time? Be on the offensive at all times, even when your team has the point under control. You don't want the enemy on, or near the position at all, so always be on your guard. And even if someone manages to slip past your defenses, he'll have to go through a bunch of trouble to get rid of you. A Heavy hull has a lot of armor and weight, which are key points in Polygon CP. You'll be hard to kill and move, especially if you have the right paint. Choosing the proper paint is another key factor to ensure you stay alive. If you're a really "detailed" player I guess, look for a pattern in turret usage in multiple Polygon CP games. For me, I discovered a good number of people use Firebird, so I use Loam to counter it. Study your enemies and see what you can find to put them on edge about facing you.

@beaku: In polygon CP, I would go with Hammer and Dictator. Since Polygon encompasses of a single Control Point, a short ranged turret would be most effective in capturing a point. Hammer, with its high damage and ability to damage more than one tanks close to each other, works perfectly in these conditions. As for the hull, a well protected Hull is needed to make the most out of Hammer and some speed is required to get around in a medium sized mas like Polygon. Needless to say, Dictator qualifies as the all rounder and it's extra height will always be helpful during a Gold Drop. As for the paint, I would choose one with firebird and/or freeze protection since these two turrets are most common in this map. A good example would be Inferno. Good  luck and See you on the battlefield.

@Harry321: Hi thanks for selecting me. I mostly use Firebird, Dictator and Clay Paint in Polygon CP battles because Firebird can kill multiple tanks at once and i use dictator for speed + armor and ofc to catch gold boxes and Clay paint for protection mostly from Thunders and Ricochets. My Paint is Mu'd so it keeps me alive for some more time. I use Clay paint because the medium and long range turrets are the reason where my firebird cant reach.

Firebird = Multiple Kills

Dictator = Speed + Armor

Clay = Protection from Thunder, Ricochet, Railgun

So this is my gameplay in Polygon CP Battles   :)

@GeneticallyModified: I have a new favourite since the update buffed Rico - that is my go to gun for polygon control point battles. I use it on Viking and Titan its fast delivery of damages and 2 extra shots per salvo really make it a tour da force. It aims down hill well and can shoot all areas in the central well unlike thunder which you have to man handle to get it to shoot down into the well now. Rico also has good mid range and can shoot across to tanks on the other side, its plama rebound bouncing makes it ideal to shoot hidden tanks under ramps and on galleries that over look the CP. At these low Warrent officer ranks I frequently use wasp and fire as many tankers have little skill and can be dominated well, but in full on Gizmo ranked battles that would just not cut it hence my choice of rico and titan

Right now there are a few other hot combinations,

fire / freezy on viking dictator or titan

isida on viking, dictator or titan

hammer on viking and any hull above that

vulcan on viking and any hull above that

thunder can still be played well if you work out how to aim down since they changed its down hill shoot ability, on a viking or titan

As a Control point battle is exactly that dominating 1 or more points on a map players who do not go to the control point are basically not helping their team no matter how good they think they are. Your priority is to go the the CP and take it so for this reason the list below

Bad choice of guns and hulls include except for very low ranks:

rail,shaft,hornets, and wasp

rail and shaft are noob in polygon cp battle and are frequently played by cheats in open format ( the exception to that is rail in xp format of course), and the small hulls just get fragged way to frequently to be of any use what so ever

Thanks for the opportunity to tell my personal favourites and dislikes, good luck to everyone see you in polygon sometime soon

@mundeeI play a lot of Polygon CPs and right now my best favourite combination to use would be Twins and Hunter. I would generally choose a medium hull for a Polygon CP, since it is fast enough to move around, but once you arrive near the middle, has enough health so that you can deal a great deal of damage to the opponents with your gun, before getting destroyed. As for gun, Twins would be my favourite. Quick firing and infinite ammo, in my opinion its the best for this map, and is one of my favourite guns in the game in general. Short range weapons like hammer, freeze and firebird are also good in this map, but I wouldn't go for a long range sniping weapon like railgun or shaft, as they cannot attack many opponents, and thus do not have much influence on the game. Then paints... Straight out I would go with inferno. Freeze, firebird, twins.... In my opinion sounds quite good for this map.

@tanker538NNow to the question, Firebird is probably one of the most useful turrets for any of the 3  team game-modes of polygon. I say this as, normally, most players are huddled up in the center where the only control point is located. This is a huge advantage to firebird as it is easy to kill off unsuspecting enemies who might be involved in combat with another tanker. For a complete tank, we also need a hull and in this case, we won't need a very fast hull like hornet or wasp but instead health should be your first priority. Keep in mind that we don't need something which is as slow as a mammoth/ titan  :P. Therefore, Viking would be a great hull to equip with this massive damage-dealing weapon. Viking is a mix of both average speed and a slightly above average health and this is why it is pretty common among the high-rankers. In short, viking and firebird are a great combo for the increasingly popular game-mode of polygon CP. Secondly, we have the comparitively more famous combo that is,of course, the thunder-dictator. This combination is pretty popular and rightly so, as it is perfect for this game-mode. As I mentioned before, most tanks are normally present in the middle of the map, so thunder's splash damage can easily take these tanks out in a very few amount of shots. Dictator has just about lower than average speed but very good amount of health. So it is a perfect hull to use with thunder. When we think of dictator, we think of gold boxes. This is because the height of dictator allows it to stand above the rest. But to all the gold-hunters out there, remember that Dictator's speed isn't that admirable so you will have to be lucky to find the spot where it is going to be falling. Good luck! Another perk of this combo is that it can be used in both ways. In offense as well as camping so this combo is bound to be a great combo for any tanker.

@poly_the_coolPolygon CP is the battle I play most. I have found that my best combo there is Thunder + Dictator. Because there is only one control point, there is allways a large crowd of tanks fighting for it. That is where thunder comes in handy. From a safe distance, I can easily clear the center with just a few shots due to thunders splash damage. Polygon is a small map and I use dictator because it has enough speed to get to the point without letting the enemy get too far ahead. Also, it has very good armor so You have a good chance of actually capturing the point and holding while you wait for reinforcments. Dictator's speed, armor and its height also make it perfect for catching golds on Polygon where it is easy to find the drop site.

@liverpoolaumI think a hull like dictator and thunder will do good on polygon. Thunder with its great extent of damage we can kill unexpected enemy around the point in the center. Due to its good damage power lots of nearby tankers too get destroyed. And with its nice reload speed we can hit lots of enemies back to back, though it can self damage us. And its good rotation speed gives a a complete access to all  the nook and corner of the map, turning constantly. And its hefty hit can knock down the enemies aim. We can hit enemy from long distance too. Dicty when i talk about dicty i remember of the gold box instances. Due to its high decent health and speed we can have a great survival during gold box catches. And its height which we can  forget, with its height turrent can shoot enemy at a high altitude and we have a significantly great advantage in capturing gold boxes  :) . Its stability gives more advantage in such types of battles. So i think the best combo will be Dicty+Thunder.

@ShOwStOpPeR_onlineThe most seen , and used and will be adjudged by everyone as the best combination to be used in Polygon CP , has to be Dictator and Thunder with a Thunder protection paint. The questions arise. Why dictator? It is simple , because Dictator has more reliable armor than a Viking , and in a map like Polygon specially Control Points mode , one has to go in the center of fire , making him vulnerable. At that time he needs armor to cover up , which , viking lacks. At the same time , there is Titan , with much more armor but very slow speed , because of its speed it might not make it to the point at times. Hence , it is very simple to judge the Best Hull for the Map Polygon. Coming to the Turrets part , as I would think , like any other tanker that the best turret for a Control Point game , in a smaller Map , would be a turret with splash damage , Now with splash damage required we have a little variety to choose from , which is , Freeze , Firebird , Thunder and Hammer. 1) Freeze:- It can very well be a good turret for freezing down other opponents and also leading in massive damage , in a good amount of time , but in a map like Polygon one doesn't prefer to Jump towards the point , and even if one does that then the hull Dictator wouldn't be coping up well with the freeze ,as it wouldn't be able to freeze the tanks close to it or next to it , Which in time makes freeze futile. 2)Firebird :- Pretty much the same about freeze applies to firebird as well , because both are short ranged and not a very good choice when mounted on a Dictator. Thunder :- Thunder will be my choice , and why not? Because Thunder is a hull which can fit to a dictator very well and also from the height advantage one can just stand a few feet away from the the Control Point , Clear the area with Thunders splash damage and quick reload , and then take over the point , LIKE A BOSS . 4) Hammer:- There are many reasons why one should pick hammer with dictator and not Thunder , but hammer has a major disadvantage , -> Its reload , supposing you have to reload in the middle of the control point and two random hulls come to you you are at that moment pointless with your hammer as it takes as much as time for the RailGun to reload , and we know its too much , hence Hammer won't be my recommendation. Coming on the side of Protective Paints , I , when using Thunder myself know that Thunder inflicts self damage, and if I use a Thunder I am bound to damage myself as well as the enemy , now when an enemy tank is coming close to you , you have to shoot , Damage on both of them , But this damage can be decreased by using Thunder protection Paints , Like Metallic , Cedar , Rustle , Cherry , Emerald , Picasso , Jade and Africa paint as well.

Surprised there weren't any fire-wasp combos  -_- it's pretty powerful if you know how to maneuver between your opponents.

Question: If there was one thing you had to tell Semyon.Kirov, what would it be?

There is never one good combination, with garage access; paints , hulls, and turrets choices are a must.

You have to be observant to all changes going on, and react quickly to changing battle conditions.

Isidas in the hole often do well, healing teammates and racking up control points, close range weapons at the point, and medium range to clear point.

vikings, dictators, and titans are best, enough speed to get from spawn point to control point.

I am just saying because I have been going to test server recently and I used Dictator and Thunder with a good paint that gives you thunder and some other protections just like Emerald.

So I am saying Thunder+Dictator is the best in Polygon CP.
