  1. 1. Do you agree that after a certain rank in Tanki fun gets less and less due to increasing need for crystals?

    • Yes, by all means. Fun gets less as one ranks up.

Yeah i think so but I am sure it is designed that way. The higher you go the harder it is to walk away, you have spent a lot of time getting there. No point in hanging around unless you can be competitive, so you have a choice, spend or to the donkey work and scrape up your crystals a few at a time while being cannon fodder for the spenders and their shiny new m3 hulls and turrets.

It is a very repetitive game as well, maybe by the time you reach high rank it has just run its course, only so many time you can shoot someone before it stops being fun.

What good will it be? Graphics is not my problem, the big demand for crystals is.

I'm waiting to see if the developers include any new possible updates that might be exciting...We'll never know until then.

Raiders, they are everywhere!

Now I know that if lots of tankers keep leaving the winning team, something crazy is going to happen in the next 5 minutes...True enough after I left, old team lost badly.

I wonder what gismos do after reaching the top? Besides drugging like mad and playing XP/BP ?

I could be wrong but I think this week has seen the first day since just before Halloween last year where the the peek server load has not risen above 100k.

And the last two days it's struggled to achieve 95k - Crisis time looming for TO.

I wonder what they're gonna do! Watch this space.

The reason is simple. At this time of the year most students have their terminal examinations and this is also end of financial year. Everyone has extra work and studies, so less time for Tanki.

lol - nothing to do with the new changes then. k.

And here was me thinking that everyone was out queuing for the grand opening of the new Aldi store next Saturday in Southend-On-Sea

Noy buying and still earning nice amount of crys is what makes fun and joy to me...no pain no gain

You're too low rank.. Wait untill First Liut. or Captain and then we'll see how you feel about it.

yes and no!
The fun decreases with experience. Its mostly b coz the crys we earn in battle do not balance the need for more crys.

TO is not a "PAY TO WIN GAME", it gives everyone equal oppurtunity. So, most of the tankers get used to it!

I completely agree. Near the mid ranks, you begin to concentrate solely on gaining a suitable amount of crystals per experience points earned in order to buy better equipment. But in the process, you fail to have as much fun as you did earlier. I still remember how much excited I was in the newbie ranks to rank up and play on new maps, see m3's and one day buy them myself. But somehow, the game isn't as exciting any more. The magic has worn off.

It's cuz when you are middle rank, you are worried that if you start playing for fun you will earn less crystals, (cuz playing for fun is when you don't care about how many crystals you earn etc) and you just care about destroying tanks, which does make you earn less crystals and be one of those generallissimos with m2.

After all these speculations, have you guys taken into account the natural human tendency to get bored of something after a point?

You say that it was more fun in lower ranks. Ask yourselves, would you still be having fun if ranks did not exist everyone had m0? Even if you buy a new Play station 4, you are bound to get bored of it.

When you buy a new TV, you clean it everyday at first. After few weeks/months , you don't even care if the TV has inches of dust on its back.

These examples clearly show that one thing cannot keep a human excited forever. Try and leave Tanki for a month or two. When you return, I gaurentee that it will be more fun for you. :)

my problem is that in higher ranks there are so few battles. at this moment the list of available battles have 5 battles. 2 of them are full, and in the other 3 the difference is so big that there is no use to join them.

some months ago i could play all night and had always available and fun battles. now I login, see that there is nothing interesting and leave.

before i was anxious to come home and play. nowadays most of the days I don't even remember tanki.

probably is happening with tanki what happened with many other online games before: there are more players leaving than arriving. for instanve i used to play an online football game called hattrick. in that time there was more than 800k users. today I saw in their wiki page that they are little more than 300k.

Of course I did.

If the problem was that I started to get bored by Tanki, then I simply would play less, I wouldn't become a major (or maybe a general? Ha!) complainer in forum.

I still like to play alot, WHEN I don't have to deal with M4 druggers that keep bullying the battles with their fathers' money.... Give me a battle of more or less equal teams that drug only on seldom occasions and I can play for hours!

But, give me a battle in which I have to face M4 dictators or vikings that mean to drug even when they are 8 vs 2, and I feel like a sucker. Time to log off.

Well, why do you play against m4's? Play against m2's.

In my rank, I play 2/3 with generalissimos, Commanders or Fieldmarshals. They all have at least M3, very often M4. You have no idea at your rank what it looks like when you approach the top. Mosty good players, almost always best tanks with expensive paints, lots of drugs, plus many cases of raiders / mults.

One is very lucky to find a good battle. A battle that won't turn into a masacre and a respawn shooting festival.

It does not take very long for noob druggers to come along just for their personal benefit, its very hard to find no supply battles which is why i find the pro pass quite pointless, make an option for no drugs, at least then free players can have an opportunity to play without being drugged while buyers cannot complain because nothing has changed

My problem isn't exactly crystals. My problem is that I can't find any good battles of my rank and the ones that I find are already dominated :(

They had to sell power but seriously i think smart cooldowns as well as micro upgrades ruined the game balance

I would say "fun cuz many noobs to kill"

Now I have many drugs, and pretty good equip (especially rail hornet M3 prodigi, MUed) so last 2 days (I played 4 battles), all full drug, won 3 won, 2 was 1st from team, (1 not, cuz I joined halfway), the 4th failed to takeover (but got gold...)

All was aimed for fun, as now I don't need to care about crystals, I can get them easily.

However, on lower accounts it's always about: which battle to join, play just for winning, crystals, crystals etc... (Not fun at all)

I do find the game gradually losses its enjoyment. Especially in regular battles. After playing this for over 3 years, I dont understand how people can play regular matches all the time. It becomes the most mindless and boring thing ever. It used to get so bad that I would have to take a break from the game a few weeks to a month, and just hang around the forum, which I enjoy participating in.

Now, how can one team losing members and at the same time the other team gaining members, is really beyond my understanding.

This is why I am all for a system like the idea I suggested *nudge* so 6 vs 14 isn't as likely of an event. Also, the fact that AUTOBALANCE has been moved to only PRO battle options is probably the cause of the chaos. How can you keep the game balanced when theres nothing to keep the amount of players balanced.

It wasn't til I discovered the XP format that I regained some enjoyment. If you don't play that, I highly recommend it. Its probably the most structured thing in the game right now, if people play it with the correct etiquette.
