I do find the game gradually losses its enjoyment. Especially in regular battles. After playing this for over 3 years, I dont understand how people can play regular matches all the time. It becomes the most mindless and boring thing ever. It used to get so bad that I would have to take a break from the game a few weeks to a month, and just hang around the forum, which I enjoy participating in.

 

This is why I am all for a system like the idea I suggested *nudge* so 6 vs 14 isn't as likely of an event. Also, the fact that AUTOBALANCE has been moved to only PRO battle options is probably the cause of the chaos. How can you keep the game balanced when theres nothing to keep the amount of players balanced.

 

It wasn't til I discovered the XP format that I regained some enjoyment. If you don't play that, I highly recommend it. Its probably the most structured thing in the game right now, if people play it with the correct etiquette. 

1. What are you saying, autobalance wasn't removed from normal battles.... it's still there. What I wrote pointed to a possible new hack, that can cancel autobalance. I am sure about the fact, I've seen it happening more than once. One team losing members and while being with less members than the other team, new members joining the other team.

Is it a hack?

Is it a bug?

Is it a very quick handle of alt accounts so that one team gets many more players than the other*, with obvious results?

I don't know.

 

2. As for XP, I don't really like XP battles more than once in a while. It's not only the restrictions in combos that offer little variety to the battles, but the very few maps that exist in XP battles.

Last, but not least, there is another factor that most of the commenters usually miss, due to a white / black point of view. I like supplies, I just don't like constant use of them (that is drugging). So, XP battles without supplies is not that fun.

 

 

* that could happen if two or three alt enter one side so that the normal accounts enter the other side and then the first, alt, accounts are removed leaving a big gap in the other side. A gap that in just a couple of minutes creates a critical difference in score so that hence new players are discouraged to enter the losing team. Victory for alts.

Yesterday was for me the latest example of such a case. For almost ten minutes the score was 0-0 and then, all of a sudden, our team lost 2 players and the opponent team GAINED 2 players. Within the next 2 minutes, the score became 4-0 and who enters a battle in which an oversized team wins 4-0 to a crippled losing team? Nobody.

What if multiple players enter the winning side at the same time? I mean, maybe one player at the winning side leaves for some reason, and at that split of second, four other players join the winning team at approx. the same moment. This can explain why sometimes more players can join the winning side. In fact, I have some experiences in joining in such way- two names pop up at the same time before the auto balance system works to refrain more players from joining the leading team.

The game is alright, and is interesting to me now. However , I don't see playing this game past Colonel. I have spent a little money ($24-34?) in 5 months. I got a fair M1 garage, and I occasionally use bought drugs (5-10 maybe in a 15min game.).

 

But I see the sheer amount of crystals needed for M3 weapons and the time for M3 ranks, as being too much. And to have a good garage you have to buy crystals and those M3 weapons/hulls/paints look like they might cost $25-$100 EACH.  :blink:

For that kinda money, there are far bigger and more advanced net games, to eat my time.

That part about supplies wasn't refering to you, it was a general comment for a frequent missunderstanding. I think that originaly I had another comment in mind... Clearly my mistake.

With regard to Players with Full M4 Garages, what tables or stats did you study for you to arrive at the conclusion that most have never bought crystals?  Ohhhh, you're guessing - Gotcha!

No. I personally know many such players. (by many, I mean around 70-80. But they are not keen players or very well known. So if they can, many others should be able to)

Try to understand my point. I was telling him that even by not buying a single crystal, getting at least one m4 combo is possible.

It's strange that you seem so certain for such an absurd idea.

It's just not posible - except maybe for 1/1.000 - for someone to reach generalissimo with at least one M4 without paying for crystals, or playing for hours everyday for  a very long time. That's theoretical. Personally I think it's not even realistic to plan on gathering crystals for M4. I mean, do you even know how much is needed for just a single M4 combo? It's not about thousands of crystals, it's about millions.

Did you take into account the amount of discounts that we have had in the past year. Especially Runet's prize 2014 when speed up's were free. Considering that it is not at all difficult for a Generalissimo to buy a full m4 garage. Take into consideration that no one in their right mind would try to buy all equipments M4. You start with your favourite combo and eventually reach all other combos. Surely no one, even buyers, would spend thousands of crystals on a combo that he hates or doesn't play with at all. Some of my friends have who have almost everything m4/nearly m4 haven't even bought m0 equipment which they do not like.

Note that I have personally played on fee of these accounts. Their owners are less than 15 years old, so it is impossible for them to have bought crystals. The truth is that you need to have skills and PLAY the game to earn crystals. Surely, it might take more than a year to get 2-3 combos to m4, but eventually it is possible.

I also think the decrease of the number of double fund days and good discounts are causing boredom, at least in my case. If you compare discounts given during jan-apr 2014 from the archive section of developer's news, you will find the huge decrease in discount events. Same for df days. I always eagerly waited for those days and played more to get required xp and crystal. Now tanki has many marketing analysts and, of course, they understand marketing better than me; but from a common player's pov it leads to boredom. I bought fire dictator m2 during last christmas sale and basically playing with them till this rank when inferno, zeus abound. So my combo is pretty useless and i HAVE to use it atleast to may! This is boring. Seriously.
