Why has Tanki become a dating site?

I see this very often. " so you wanna go out" or " is there any girls on?" or even " who wants to be my gf?" I find this weird. Last year I have never encountered this, but NOW...  :wacko:  :wub:  and stuff like that. I think this is a dumb thing to do, because first of all you don't even know the persons gender! There are those creepy pedos, trolls or just some dudes pretending to be girls, or some gals pretending to be lads. Share your comments!  :D

I see this A LOT, and on a daily basis, and all these MMO games i used to play, it seemed like most newbies (which ends at WO 4 maybe) ask people if they wanna go out. I think since Americans are starting to increase as starters, more ask random people to date. Also many of these people have no life (no offense!)

I do see it rarely when I happen to discard the RU1 server out of boredom. Sometimes I chat on other servers if a conversation starts. Nevertheless I have spot some tankers asking such questions on the chat. I don't really pay much attention to it normally.. it would be pointless to pay attention to it anyways, at least in my opinion.

 

I don't consider TO a dating site as a first-thing. Apparently asking such questions are actually allowed on TO, but to a limit, due to which sometimes players overlook some properties and consider it more of a dating site. :)

 

And yeah - trolls are massively involved when it comes to this subject :lol:

There are loads of people who do "odd" stuff on the tanki chat. Dating stuff you can call "odd" as well, but I don't think there is such a bad side from it. Yes, all of us are taught that online dating is the worst way to date someone, but nowadays it's not anymore. And you guys are right, this is not a dating site, but this site has a chat, so the oppurtunity, so I guess.. deal with it. Let them be. This does not always turn out bad. Look at both the archangels, who seem to be happy now! And I know more of those who found each other on tanki, and are very happy now. 

 

If you don't want it.. best is to ignore in my opinion.

I agree and don't at the same time. Many lower ranks ask to date ASAP, mainly cause their bored or trying to get a "girlfriend", but meanwhile many times, most people around M2's and M3's mature, so yeah...
