Ideas for Turrets!

Hello everybody, 

 

I had an idea of a turret called 'blaster", it will be almost sci-fi, not to different from the ricochet, it will shoot round circles of color gold. if a enemy players gets touched by one of these round circles they will get blinded for about 2 seconds and will also lose a bit of life. It is more a tactical weapon than anything else.

Garage Description:

Driller is the best turret for short range. When you press space, the drills on the turret spin and it needs 1 second reload after every spin but be aware that it has a drawback, the range! The range is only 1.5 cm but you can destroy a mamoth in 1-3 spins when you have Driller m1. Works great with light hulls.

The reload should be more than one second.

New turret - Canon

It will be a long pipe that will shoot balls like traditional canon used to it will be based on the mechanism of projectile motion we cannot move the turret but we can adjust its projectile angle (height) using z,x,c Its reload time would be around 7-8 seconds and as we press space bar the ball take some time to reach to the target that leads to delay but it will have a hefty damage of 60-70 it can be shooted over buildings if projected with perfect angle it damage would be a splash of circle of radius 1metre and if tank comes into this area it will get self-damage and reload time,damage , damage area can be increased or decreased 

Turret would look like this

I thought of this weapon being a melee weapon. The spikes or what ever will extend and when you use the spacebar. It will cause a bleeding effect and the spike can attack 2 close tanks at once if they are right behind each other or each is in front of one of the spikes. The reload speed should be like the shots between one ricochet shot because with this gun you have t go close and personal so a slow loading time with this gun could put you in a bad situation. The damage should be 24-28 damage so that you wont get easily destroyed if fighting with other small ranged turrets. The bleeding effect should work like the firebirds and freezes burn and feeze time. But you can get rid of bleeding over a time or using a health supply or with the help of an isida, freeze can slow the bleeding so that not much comes out, firebird can melt the pieces of metal together to close the hole. The way the tank should look when having the bleeding affect is that it has a hole in the tank and fuel like color/liquid comes out, over the time as I said the hole will get smaller. The holes and blood will be in the turret or hull depending on were the spikes hit the tank.

 

What do you guys think?

The link is the picture of the main idea. But you guys can give suggestions of how to improve.

This weapon has two parts to it; the launcher and the missile. On collision the missile explodes and has a splash damage. A M0 missile can take out a little more than half a M0 wasps life on a direct hit. When loaded, hit the fire button (space bar), at this point you are actually flying the missile. You see what the missile sees and you can fly it sort of like you drive your tank. To fly, you can use the arrow keys, up arrow to go up, down arrow to go down, left arrow to bank left and right arrow to bank right. The speed of the missile is fast, but slow enough to control. This is a lethal weapon for taking out flags ect. and is ideal for long range levels. It has a punch of about a rail gun and if used correctly can flip a hornet or wasp. If you fly the missile off the map it self destructs and you have to reload. It takes eight to ten seconds to reload. IMPORTENT: the launcher does not start reloading until the fired missile explodes. While in flight the missile can be shot and destroyed by enemy tanks, but as it is not part of the actual tank, you cannot auto aim on it. So the only effective way to take it out is with a shaft or other missile. Seeing as I. Trying to make it as realistic as possible, it cannot go straight up. You can get it to go straight down, but it is hard to get it out of a dive. It is not good for close range, but can auto aim on a close target. Once fired you have ten to twenty seconds before it blows up. It can go under bridges and into tunnels, but as it is hard to turn it would be hard to get it out of a tunnel. The missile can be a maroon in colour. I imagine that instead of a pointed end, it should have more rounded front. It should have three small wings near the back of the missile. While in flight it should have some small flames coming out off the back and a trail of smoke, just to improve the graphics and make it look more realistic and look cooler. Please post your questions, comments and suggestions.

This is a game about tanks, and controlling the missile would make it too op, if it automatically shot, it would be better, besides, you'd be leaving the tank, the main aspect of the game out of the use when using the missile

What about if you could zoom out over the enire map and lock onto a target? You wouldn't be leaving the tank.

And what exactly do you mean if it automatically fired?

And what exactly do you mean if it automatically fired?

When I said automatically shoot, I meant like you shoot and it automatically without you controlling it, hits where you shoot, if you could zoom over the entire map? that would be too OP, you could just relax at your base and take people down, it would be even more unfair

I propose a turret that is like a real life battleship turret.  I don't have a name for it, but it would be a 3 barrel ship cannon, like those found on the USS Arizona.  It would have an extremely slow turning speed, and slow-ish reload speed, and no AOE, but it would fire the three barrels in 3/4 of a second intervals, and it would do pretty decent damage, and have lots of recoil.  It would be suggested for use with larger or heavier tanks.
