Ideas for Turrets!

I'm bored and not really serious about this, but here is a cool idea for melee/short-range weapon.

 

I have no name for it right now; haven't been thinking long enough about it. This turret would generate a golden shield around the front of the tank or where the turret is pointing. It would render the user invincible/near-invincible and would deal damage to other tanks on contact with them.

Ammo/firing time/energy would run out quickly, as being invincible is not a good idea for plenty of reasons.

A way of switching damage on/off and invulnerability features on/off to slow down energy usage would make the turret fun to use and more effective in situations.

Only practical on small maps and fast hulls, as actual contact with other turrets is needed for damage.

Can be expensive at early ranks and then cheaper later on, as it isn't easy to switch functions (damage and invincibility).

 

Turning the turret changes the position of the shield/weapon. It requires skill to defend from enemy fire by facing the shield in the right direction and also reaching tanks to attack.

This is Freakin awesome, an Idea to add to this is that, the sheild could reflect shots i.e if the enemy shot railgun at you, the sheild would knock the shot right back at em, would help for long range combat :D

I suggest another feature to my previously suggested Avalanche turret:

You could only turn it to your left, front and right, but not back. Therefore, you'll need more skill in your manoeuvring.

how about. AIR SUPPORT. After a certain amount of kills u can get an Arial view of the map and then shoot u should also be and to upgrade amount of bombs and damage. Weakness is if u have a skillful player they can shoot it I the air so a goes boom without destroying anyone. Should also destroy mines in that area

That's not a turret and can we please stick to tanks in a tank game?

I thinking of a long range healing turret. Basically it I'll shoot a very fast half black half white ball at long range like max 200m if the ball hits a friendly he his hull will be covered by white colour giving him 20 health every sec for 15 seconds on3. Of it hits an enemy it would deal 15 dmg per sec for the next 15 secs. Note that these effects will be eliminated if the tanker with the gun is killed

The the diff between shots shall be7 secs at m3

We already have Isida as a healing turret. But this still has potential.

Garage Description:

Acidex is one of the best turrets for close combats. When you continously shoot at your enemy, your enemy's gun cannot shoot for three and a half seconds but he can move his tank and turret. Compared to other short ranged turrets, it has less damage but unlike other short ranged turrets, it also has impact force. Works great on small and medium hulls.

i like the idea but the knock back idea is a little strange other than that grate job i would do a little more on design though looks a little goofy  i would do a side view then i think it would look cool

A cross between Thunder, Smokey and Hammer.

The gun fires rounds with a bit more power than Smokey.

It has 4M splash damage.

It has a 6 round clip and it takes 5.8 seconds to load a new one at M0. The gun will reload if there is any empty slot. When it fires, the ammo canister turns, loading the gun.

Hmm.....

Bolt.........

Not sure what it would look like but it has a mini sort of acog sight to the right an when u hold space it looks like a scope like shaft does buut a little different... it shoots 4 shot and quick bolts per barrel being not to powerfull but enough to kill from wasp -viking with all 4 shots

and when hits a enemy tank it looks a little like critical damage shot of a smoky...

m3 has light blue glow around the front of barrel

i think that its a good idea , i use isida and i think that a long range healing weapon needs to be in place

there is a downside though , with isida if you miss its not a big deal but if you miss with this gun you need to wait 7 seconds , i think it needs to be able bounce but it should have a limit m0= no bounce m1= 1 bounce m2=2 bounce m3= 3 bounce

Nah i think we should mainly stick with just line-of sight turrets.

Hey guy, I have a really good Idea about a new blast damage almost the same as thunder. However, it have a barrel of missile to fire until reloading (similar to hammer except it have more/less barrel). I would like to give the modification of this turret ability such as damage, range,... to the moderators, administer, and developers for a change. Here the turret idea:post-2093-1271023185.png
