Ideas for Turrets!

How about an EMP:  ElectroMagnetic Pulse, turret? 

It can be either short range or long rane, if it's short range than it would have a wide spread like hammer, and if it were long range it would be focused like the railgun. 

It could do several differant things:  Disable a persons tank for a set time, cause a persons tank to respond eradically to controls, and it could cause an apponants turret to have a greatly increased charging time.

How about a guided missile turret where you choose a save position for you tank (which leaves you very vulnerable since you are unable to move while missile is on the move) you guide the missile through the map like you would your tank this missile would  have an explosion with impact force that can flip tanks over so it doesn't need to directly hit a tank damage should be around 70 for M0, 100 for M1, 130 for m2, 150 for m3, and fully MU'd damage would be 170. The reload time for M0 would be 12 seconds M1 10 seconds M2 8 seconds M3 7 seconds M4 5 seconds ( note the reload is really just putting another missile into firing position) Impact forces also vary throughout the modifications. Speed of the missile can also be upgraded. The colour of the flame on the back of the missile tells you what M it is for example: Orange for M0 Green for M1 Purple for M2 White for M3

 

The drawbacks are: The missile has a limited range before it explodes

                             The missile is very slow and a hornet can usually outrun it

                             The missile can be hit and destroyed (requires good aim) or knocked off course

                             The missile is very visible as it would have both a stream of smoke behind it and a very bright flame to propel it 

NOTE: This is a suggestion more likely for the Unity version of tanki!!

While the concept is good, albeit overused almost, I think the game should stick mainly with line of sight weapons.... Although I would like to see an unguided rocket launcher/grenade launcher type of turret added into the game in Unity. 

 

Also, I think the damage and reload time makes it a bit Under Powered, while the impact force is way Over Powered and tanks shouldn't be able to out-run it.

If you weren't able to out run the projectile don't you think it would be alittle overpowered since people may have a tough time finding you?

Well, there's always the giant trail of smoke and long reload times. 

You could add in a back-blast: everytime it fires, a trail of fire and smoke goes out the back of the turret and the smoke will linger for some time.

Would be used like an additional drug, but would be like an AA Gun but for tanks, you press 6 where you would like to mount the gun (as if you would place a mine) , and at that point anything in a 60/75 degree angle radius will be automatically shot with a small damage, unlimited repetition stand alone turret. Capped to one deploy per spawn, takes 7-10 seconds to mount where you are vulnerable, from then on you can move and play as usual, when you die your AT Turret dies as well. 


 


PS - Upgradable abilities? Possibly able to shoot only one turret at a time for M0, two for M1 etc...

This isn't an idea for a new turret, but a suggestion for Firebird.

 

Well, here's the deal: Wind. The faster you drive, the quicker the "wind effect" cools your tank, and the quicker the burning effect ends. I know that wind can make fire more intense, but this is about cooling.

No that would be a little OP, you would mount it like you would place a mine, then you can drive off and it kills anything around where you placed it.

But you forgot engine heat and friction from high speeds.

There should be a turret that as you hold the space bar the damage it deals when you fire increases but of course there will be a max amount of damage you do

m0 16-55

m1 30-78

m2  44-102

m3   52-138

or something like that

How is the flame for m1 green?Is it like radioactive or something?

This is a neat idea.  i don't think a aoe would be good, can you imagine stunning 4 tanks at once...I like the ranged effect like rail gun.  Shot someone gaurding the flag, then someone can grabed it and go.  a reload time like rail would be good and s stunlength so that you can only have 1 stunned at a time.  t could even do some moderate dmg.

Though the developers aren't currently accepting hull and turret ideas, as they have plenty of their own, feel free to share yours! The more details you have, the better. Images? Sketches? Comparisons? Share it all!

 

Mabey some sort of rocket launcher that takes a really long time to reload but dose spalsh and lots of damage but it also takes a little more time to fly across.

ever seen a panzerwerfer? basicly it is large rocket system able to shoot 10X150 mm high explosive rockets

 

this is ment to be in unity

 

idea of staged reloading basicly like hammer but you can reload whenever you want (jf you see the picture it will be obvious)

and while it has rockets in the thing it will shoot fast (litle faster then smoky even) but there is a catch it should have no hun deppresion

so hitting anzthing below you will be a pain and the rochets have low velocitz and they dont hgo in a strait line also werz inacurite(like 2 times the hammers acuricy)

 

so distant targets would be hard to hit and zou can get it qa prettey bad position with slov turret traverse but it will have splash damige(nothing major couse you have 10 of them) and have larhe push efect so when you get an enemy  you can keep him there

 

ah and jf it gets inplemented y alredy have taken nickname panzerwerfer227 and DontYouShootDerpAtMe

Garage Description:

Acidex is one of the best turrets for close combats. When you continously shoot at your enemy, your enemy's gun cannot shoot for three and a half seconds but he can move his tank and turret. Compared to other short ranged turrets, it has less damage but unlike other short ranged turrets, it also has impact force. Works great on small and medium hulls.

i think there should be a long range gun that is focused to sniping, like railgun and shaft, but it disables the other tanks controls and ability like 

an EMP, so that your fellas could take them out
