Ideas for Turrets!

I have a idea for a turret.It's called shielder.You can activate a shield by holding spacebar and deactivate the shield by letting go of the spacebar.The shield has health so it depends on how much health it has.You can't damage enemies when your in shield mode.If your shield lost all of its health,you have to reload.The shield only protects you where your turret is facing so if your shield is facing north,an enemy in the south can still damage you unless you turn your turret to the south before the enemy shoots you.This turret is short-ranged.In fact Shielder M3's range is just  a little more than Isida M0,which makes shielder the shortest ranged turret ever in M3.

Questions...

How does the turret do damage if there is only a shield that is unable to damage enemies (not to mention that when we are under fire, that is precisely when we most want to fire back)?

How do you activate the gun (if there is a gun) if the space bar only activates the shield?

I have another idea! Maybe a wave weapon! "Waver" A gun that shots wave and when the enemy get hit his life is going down like 1 shot on M0 to an enemy whit M0 Viking is going like 25% life down! Or on an M3 Waver whit an enemy that has M3 Wasp his life is going 40% down! And the turret shots 1 time and the reload will be like Thunders... And i don't know more what to say! But that will be cool...

2nd Q:How do you activate the gun (if there is a gun) if the space bar only activates the shield?  A:You shoot using spacebar while to activate the shield,you hold spacebar like when you want to turn to scope mode in shaft.

3rd Q:What do you think of my suggestion? A:Well,I think it's pretty nice but still a little overpowered because you'll give campers a good advantage.They'll mount this gun to their medium or heavy hull and start camping until someone comes.When someone comes the camper doesn't have to move but just press spacebar over and over and the turret will never miss its shots.When they try to sneak up on you your turret just starts shoot at him when you press spacebar so it isn't fair it auto detects everything that is near.I thought turrets have to be mastered to use the best of the turret's advantages.You need skill to do that and training.But Area 51 doesn't,it just fires and fires then reloads then fires again.So recruits can just kill everyone without skill.They'll never even miss a shot.But since it is limited ranged,long ranged weapons can't get damaged if there far away so your turret is just fine.But i think it's a great idea so great job. :D

2 gun that kills everyone without skill are already in the game: they're called twins and ricochet...

I was thinking of  Odin. an artillery weapon that can destroy other tanks. know this turret can lunch bullets up in the sky and comes down on the tank. this turret can be use full for shooting  up and striate  for my idea this weapon can be use full for many ways if you guise agree  with this Idea let me know and text me ok see you in the games

I really supported the ideas for a Rocket launcher and an Artillery cannon/Grenade launcher. :)

 

The Grenade Launcher Stats: (composed by deadtoyou, subject to change)

 

Weaknesses:

Unable to aim lower than 15 degrees.

The reload time should be twice that of Shaft, but the damage would be increased as a result.

The turn radius would be more than Railgun but less than Shaft.

Once in MiniMap mode, you are immobilized and vulnerable.

Enemy team will see the laser point on the ground where the impact point will be.

 

Strenths:

Very high damage, almost as much as Shaft.

The ability to hit targets under cover.

The damage would be split between 3 grenades, allowing for a bigger hit radius.

3 grenades fired consecutively equals the damage of 1 shot.

Holding down space would bring up a 2D version of the map, allowing you to hit targets anywhere on any map. This option would have a weakness, though: You cannot see the enemy team, just the map, meaning you have to pick your targets BEFORE you fire.

The map will show you where your turret is pointing, and where the impact point will be in the form of red crosshairs. (changeable by using the Arrow Keys or W, A, S, and D) 

 

      Great idea, what about splash damage? Also, I think I have thought of a name for it: The Mortar.

I would really like a new turret called " OO " Because it is a MASSIVE circle(cilinder) That shoots a MASSIVE red lazer out of it, it deals huge amount of damage, but you will be able to buy it only when you are warrant officer 2 because it costs 2,500 and it is just so strong. Not too overpowered but i would like it!

I would assume that it would have a ridiculously slow reload. I'd also assume that it wouldn't pierce at all, nor do splash or DoT, since it is a laser.

I have a good idea for a turret. its an assault rifle almost like shaft. its should be called Ripper. il give more info soon. like my idea like it

A turret with long range and rapid fire?! I don't think I like it...

A medium ranged weapon with 6 round magazine capacity. It will fire high-velocity APHE (armour-piercing high explosive) rounds. 

 

Specs at M1:

 

Effective (full damage) Range: 45m

Maximum range: 115m (with very low accuracy and 5% damage)

Shots per minute: 56

Damage per shot: 42

​Minimum direct hit damage: 2.04

Splash damage: 4m (-50% remaining damage per metre)

Full clip reload time: 6.72 seconds (gun will reload when other round are stowed but at 20% speed)

 

Reload action (Unity): As final round is fired, the round and magazine will be ejected (round to the side and magazine backwards) the gun will then tilt up 40 degrees and a hatch will open with a new clip lifted into position and the gun will be ready to fire again. 

 

Still editing the specs.

Another dumb turret that won't ever be inplended. So the damage this thing will do per minute is 2352... Not ok, have you thought about the balance of the game?

What about a blow_gun style weapon, that when u shoot it, it gets stuck in the enemy tank.Then it would make it harder for them to go into tight places, and it would make them hit everything.

Just an idea.

Orrr a laser, we all could use a laser, it would have the reload of firebird but the range of thunder.

Re-read the last sentence. Dunno why but some buttons don't work. I was going to write 14.2 and change the damage decrease. Note: did you count in 6.72 second reload times which half the dpm? and btw- Thunder is 1260 dps (or close, only a few moments left)

Hammer will be better tho.. If your not happy with the current turrets you should really think of a proper good one >_< like your imagination is just full of holes... You don't need to recreate a turret, you need to design something new, get the difference? :)
