Ideas for Turrets!

I'm sure most of these ideas will be unheard by tanki devs, but it's fun thinking about it!

 

Oh yeah, with the old physics, wasp used to be very unstable! That is one reason why I've generally used heavier hulls.

There was a time, when Wasp pilots used to be flipped about 400 times a month.

It was one of the worst periods in the game :)

Please consider this :)

Waaaaaait when did that time end?

I still see wasps flipping like cray, expesially against vulcans.

I have an idea!

If a tank shoots you in the turret then the turret sustains damage and then disappears leaving just a hull. But you will be completely mobile. So the all the enemy tanker can do is retreat.

There could also be a turret that rams the opponents.First it would start above the front of the hull then when you hit the spacebar it will slide down to the front of the hull, it would increase your speed and it would double the armour of your hull so you can survive till you reach the enemy. The weaknesses are the fact that it is very short range and it can't turn like the other turrets do. It would have a high damage and good defence

I think that tanki admin and developers should create a turret called Chain Reaction. In this turret, it shoots out electric grenades, that are able to bounce of walls. Upon doing so, the grenade will deal heavy damage to the closest tank. However, in order to live up to its name, it also hits tanks that are near it, and all the tanks that are near the initially affected tanks, each time, with the damage being nerfed. The reload should be around 1.5 times the time to reload shaft. If you like this idea, please say yes or like the post. :)

A turret called fireball. It shoots out a large fireball that burns players as it goes through. However, the projectile is very slow, but does massive damage. In order to weaken this weapon, it should take 2 times the shaft reload.

 

Pros: Massive damage, Burn multiple enemies, Unlimited range (except if it hits a building)

Cons: Slow projectile, Can be countered using freeze, Slow aiming

Smoky has similar attributes as rico and thunder and hammer

Fire has similar atteibutes to freeze

 

So...

a turret like a saudergun "used to build electronics. So this gun shoots a laser out (of light like shaft but thicker) and it disrupts the electrical cicuits of the tank making the tank:

Want to steer off or revers controls of tank

Lose power of turret so it shoots lower damage

Range of turret lowrred

 

Turret parmeters:

Similar reload of isida

range of hammer

no loss of effectivness up till range limit where effectivity is 0

No self damage

can increase paramaters of team mates by 10%

Ok easy..

 

Short range- 4

Medium range- 4

Long range- 3

 

So there should be another long range weapon... maybe as others said a rocket launcher...

Short range : Isida, Firebird, Freeze

Mid range : Smoky, Hammer, Ricochet, Twins, Thunder

Long Range : Railgun, Vulcan, Shaft

This is extremly op in some casees....but those are very particular senarios.... The rest of the time it would suck, cause if you either missed or didnt kill the person, you would die before getting another shot. Wha makes shaft better for long reload is that you can get a shot exactly where you want it. Slow turret speed would make it even worse. It would need something like Twins or Firebird as turnspeed to make it so every shot does count. Railgun can alsi handle long reload because its instant shots too, and its turnspeed its actually very balenced as its not too fast and nit too slow to manage a freeze attacker. Shaft isbalso good turn speed because of its long range. The farther out you go, the less of a movement is needed. Thats also why longer rage turrets have slower turn speed, as it would be impossible to make those extremly long shots, which would therefore mke it a mid range weapon. I sa, redude anount of damage and lower reload time. Cut each in half, then increas the projectile speed by 2x. Also, change name to somthing else(I think Napalm... but that may be spelled wring there) since its so similar to Firebird

Once again, extremly op in some cases, then the worst turret ever in other cases. Reduce damage, then lower reload time. Other than that, this would be pretty cool. And change the name to something thats onky one word. Maybe just "Chain"

Iv wanted something like this for a while now, and i remember posting a big thing in I&S thread. I do think that it would be great that when you held spacebar, you speed up and armor is increased. Im imagining something like a transformer where plates are coming from it and covering the sides and bits of the front with meal while accelerating towards another tank :D

But when its speeding up, it should just be mkre forward parts of tge sides and the front itself that has more protection, whule the back of it is still the same amount. It could also be a very good tank to pass the flag off to, cause it could get to its base very quickly. It wouldnt be too goodbfor getting the flag though, since it really wouldent be able to kill anyone, which is good or else everyone would probebly use it so they could cap flags easy. I also think it shoulent be abke to turn very well when spacebar is held. Make turnspeed be decreased by like 50%. Also have it so instead of just hitting tanks and damaging them, have the tanks power increased and work on the modle a bit so that destroyed tanks are able to slide uo and over it when hit and can lift up tanks a bit(depending oh hull). Hulls like Waps and Hornet could basically use it as a sort of ramp too :D

Imagin the possibilities if parkour :D

Very true, but some people still do like sharing their ideas for feedback. Other just dont know :/ Iv know devs dont look in I&S topics for a while....yet i still post huge things about ideas :P

This is interesting...in agood way ;)

 

This could be very op depending on who their teamates are...if theres a drugging Vulcan or groups of Isidas....even Smokey and Railgun. Also instead of just makeing the enemy turn randomly, just invert their controls instead, which also means inverting their vertical autoaim. Railgun has downwards of 9 i think, and has 6 upwards, so being hit would make its 6 downwards and 9 upwards. That coukd be actually really interesting :) But other than that, this already seems prettty balenced and actually a great turret at first glance!

maybe a ballista. flaming arrows over a long range. more like spears but... 3 sec reload time

This could be a pretty cool idea :D It could be like Hammer, but;

 

Each projectile is more damage than each bullet in hammer

 

Does a small amount of burning if enough projectiles

 

Longer range

 

Has a slight delay between hitting spacebar and when it starts fireing

 

Projectile speed closer to Ricochet's

 

Has somwthing like 15 projectiles per shot, and will nit fire at exactly the same time, it will have the projectiles all fire at random times that are within 1 second of the start of fireing

 

At each modification, the amount of projectiles could be increased(unlike hammer)

 

At M0 the color of shots are mostly red, At M1 its more orange, at M2 its yellowish, and at M3 its pure white

Maybe one of those turrets that rely on jacked up physics(gravity) to shoot way high up, then land on something else from above....someone reply if you knobwhat im talking about. I dont know the actual name of it, or id put it here obviously :P

A tank version of a Spartan Laser :D

 

Though it might be too similar to shaft and ralgun...i guess it would be a cross between those two pre-existing tanki turrets....
