Ideas for Turrets!

one shots mediums but cant move when doing so :) I see this is getting nowhere, players are still afraid of the old glorious days of shaft thinking of themselves staying alive more than the game being balanced more

Railgun and Magnum are the only weapons which can counter Shaft effectively (Striker? Needs buff...) M1 Shaft with 4/10 MU can 1-shot M4 Wasp or Hornet and its arcade shots are also quite good to finish the enemy camper or to 4-shot light tanks in close combat. That guy wants splash damage on Shaft? Really? I do not want Shaft to be used by noob druggers in Polygon... Railgun and Shaft are turrets for pros and they must stay without noob splash.

Its currently the most underrated weapon and there shouldnt be an underpowered weapon in a balanced game

 

 

you might be a great player, but you would do better with twins and you know it :)

 

as ofcourse you would do better with a weapon like magnum

 

also there are only certain maps that you can play shaft which is UNBALANCED

You should remember that shaft has two modes (arcade and sniper) everyone knows that most shaft users will use the sniper mode most of the time. I use arcade mode most of the time, and it has worked, because many players won't expect a shaft charging right in their face.

It is so funny to finish off a sniped enemy by arcade shot or to peek-a-boo using arcade shots (just like some Thunder players, they are also not expected to do so). Arcade shots with double damage (overdrive) destroy everything in 2 or 3 shots. Titan Shaft forever!

This really should be changed because it is so annoying to heal the enemy in 2 or 3 bursts to get the experience before my poor Hornet gets 1-shot by Railgun or Thunder.

I have an idea, it could be a tank that controles other tiny tanks. It would be like a necromancer tank. The range would be the limit zone you can controle them and you could only have 3. It would be nice

Why not also give it healing ability while you're at it? :ph34r:

funny thing, it took me 2 years of playing to encounter shaft and when i did on 2011 he shooted me and healed me. I think the guy was a hacker lol.

I definitely think shaft needs a trade-in for the laser which did take away the huge advantage shaft had (but then again, people might confuse you for a striker, which nobody is afraid of..?) something that actually makes sense with the weapon though, like splash damage or the pierce thing it used to do.

as a big isida player this is definitely something that needs to get implemented. I understand that the score received might not be that much, but it adds up through out the battle, and can make a huge crystal reward difference at the end of the battle. Also, this almost requires isida's to play badly if they want to get that score, releasing space bar and letting your teammate die so you can selfishly take the score.

What do you mean by malfunction though??

Probably disables parts of the tank, like turning, rotating turret, shooting, moving forwards/backwards, etc.

Like the hammer's first module that was never released. Just a bit changed in a way that the turret can move upanddown 

 

In what way you would suggest the Turret to look like, any suggestions?

You must fix the shape of magnum its really ugly :/

When a Magnum user hates getting barrel shots by Shaft...you want to make Magnum barrel shorter! Make Magnum huge as CN Tower or Burj Khalifa, nerf its ridiculously high damage or nerf the splash of Magnum, Thunder and Striker to 50%.
