Ideas for Turrets!

Will be good as an alteration but you need to sacrifice the single firing mode for that. After alteration you should have only two modes. The one you suggested and the salvo.

Btw Explosion you are exploding the Ideas & Suggestions with your ideas xD

And make an already strong turret even stronger?

So you're basically suggesting a sort of "Tesla" or electric weapon, which I think fits better than the effect you're talking about. I'd say that perhaps adding this to Isida could be feasible allowing it to heal/damage multiple tanks at the same time but with reduced damage/healing per connection, distributing the healing and damage instead of directed at one tank only. Could be a cool alteration idea.

A Tesla weapon, YES! Its description should be talking about free energy found in the air particles or something. Exactly what i was thinking of but i didnt know if people here knew Tesla :)

Give it time, the new module system should fix it. But many players might be spent (crystal wise), so it will take awhile for them to loosen their grip on thunder protections.

I don't think thunder is underpowered, nor is it overpowered. It's very well balanced.

Due to the sound and the size of the explosion happening its very unbalanced due to psychological effects it does to the opposition. If you want it to keep this uniqueness then it must lose in damage.

Give me more idea of what you mean. I don't understand.

And fix your grammar!!!

The only grammar mistake in this was literally the "s" after the module which is not really a grammar mistake but a fast typing after effect. If you are trying to ridicule and degrade people because of mistakes they do, in a way that will make you feel special, i am sorry to say i am not the guy to sit and accept it. Take your provocations elsewhere, this place is for ideas on how to improve the game and every tiny piece of information we provide matters.

Is it because you don't have an M3 thunder or any modules against thunder?

I am actually going to buy m3 thunder in the sales, i will have around 1,3 million crystals for buying turrets and fixing my garage (lets call them turrents it sounds better) And i do have 50% against thunder. However we need to consider the facts over the opinions when it comes to the game's balance and im telling you thunder is a very unbalanced weapon.

First off - no it's not fine the way it is.

There's a reason why so few people equip it in battle.  It's very situation-specific so there are even fewer used with match-making.

If an Alteration was added it would not even affect you - you could use the stock version if you liked it.

Why is it situation-specific - once you are past the learning curve? I use it in MM very day. The learning curve is the barrier. But once past it the turret is very effective on MM maps.

This is why I've suggested an m1 alteration that make it easier to hit targets but at a cost of considerable damage. That might help players get past the arduous learning phase. But once you can hit things 'normally' you'd probably want to turn the alt off.  Sort of like the Vulcan and Isida m1 alts.

I'm fine with that. I'll just join, fire one shot, leave and re join again and repeat. next battle someone else fro the clan takes the turn.  ;)

Since there's no Battle-List how are you going to re-join if you quit?  Would be random luck when many battles are ongoing.

It has no auto-aim so yes, flat terrain helps it a lot - this is situation-specific.  If team outnumbered (Thanks MM  :( ) it does not perform well - again - situation specific.

The battles are too fast for the slow-moving missiles at Legend ranks where all opponents have very quick tanks.

It sits in my garage - was a waste of crystals.

Who uses Vulcan or Isida alterations?  About the same waste of crystals that Striker was...

Yes I understand you co not like Striker so you have not put in the time to use it well. OTOH I can hit enemies very accurately and instinctively with it. My concern is if it were made significantly more powerful then players who have climbed the learning curve would be rekking machines.

I agree Vulcan and Isida m1 alts are beneficial only for players in the learning phase. That's the point. It is not the way I'd go but if it helped more players learn Striker than it;d be worth the dev time. It'd be better than having no alteration as we have now.

You know, I have seen a topic calling for Thunder to be both buffed and nerfed. I think this is a natural result of so many people playing thunder. If you think too many people are using pro-thunder, switch to smoky or another turret. Metagames should flow and change which turrets are better and which are worse. However, because everyone buys Raider kit when they get to m3 level, everyone has thunder protection. Thunder/Twins/Fire is my go-to protection because so many ppl insist on using those turrets. I like smoky now because so few ppl use smoky protection

Not once did I advocate it be made "significantly more powerful".

A trade off in damage/re-load/etc would be fair for making it slightly more user-friendly.  If that came in form of Alteration so people used to it currently can keep playing as they like that would be good too.

The metagame should take care of any unbalanced weapons. Magnum is probably OP, but lots of ppl kill magnums on sight so it isnt everywhere. Hopefully the new module update should allow ppl to set their protections to deal with the most powerful turrets, allowing others to succeed

I did not say you said that. I was just sayin.  Conversation yes?

Thunder is highly underpowered. I used it a good many times and I never deal above 1000 damage with double damage, which is somewhat saddening.

with thunder m3 i always deal more than 1000 damage on my alt when i have double damage and its too much. Without the opposition using protections it would be greatly overpowered which means it needs to be nerfed since this is a game about balance (not taking into account the modules)
