no it doesn't prove anything , as I said before , no turret is usable without supplies , smoky without supplies is terrible , but it's insane with supplies , same thing applies to every other turret and hull in the game , if you don't use supplies you will die quickly without earning kills which makes the game boring and annoying

 

and why won't you use supplies ? If you don't have them then it's your fault , they are really easy to obtain for free without paying a single dime .

I think you have misunderstood what I said. I asked you to try playing in PRO battles with supplies deactivated. There everyone is in the same position since there is no question of using supplies.

Alterations are not part of the turret, they are just optional additions which serve to provide a varied gameplay experience. If what you are saying is true, do you mean each and every railgun user has to purchase an alteration to make his turret decent?

My point is Freeze, Firebird,Isida , Thunder and Twins perform very well without ANY alterations so why not Railgun?

If what I am said before has to be verified, one only has to play in a PRO battle with microupgrades, alterations,supplies,drops deactivated. Here it's a level playing field but one can easily see how Railgun badly underperforms in comparison to other turrets.

I think you have misunderstood what I said. I asked you to try playing in PRO battles with supplies deactivated. There everyone is in the same position since there is no question of using supplies.

of course firebird cannot compate to twins , smoky , ricochet , thunder or freeze ,all of these are short ranged turrets which are widely used everywhere and not just pro battles

 

yes railgun performs poorly under these circumstances , but with everything added to it , including supplies and the alteration , it really isn't as bad as you're describing .

 

be honest and tell me , would you really be complaining if you could play with railgun without any protection modules ? I don't think so .

 

alterations are part of the turret , when you buy the turret you know what you're getting yourself into , you should do at least a little research before you buy it . I mean when you buy twins you know you should buy the splash alteration along with it , and when you buy rico you need the fast projectile alteration too ,  same with railgun , when you buy it you should buy the high caliber too (you don'e have to buy it immediately but you should at least consider it along the way ) , and if your plan is to just ignore that it ever existed then honestly it's your fault .now please don't tell me the alteration is expensive , it only costs 50k on 50% discounts and that's nothing for a major and above .

Why do mhh.2000 defending the current weak railgun ? I mean its very weak my railgun kill wasp by 3 shots unless u spend extra 100k just to make it kill light hulls by 2 shots . I mean m2 rail cost 96k and its alt cost 100k which mean 200k just to get m2 railgun that kill wasps by 2 shots ? And on top of that the alt are useless in xpbp coz its auto disabled. Kidding me ? Railgun does not need a buff ? Lol either u are a drunk or don't know anything about game balance bro. Instead of spending 200k on a junk weak gun just get m3 kit.

I think you should know that the devs intentionally made railgun the way it is today because almost everyone likes using railgun, so it's a marketing strategy which will encourage you to buy the alts with real money.

I already have the m2 alteration and I had bought it long ago. You clearly understood my point and even acknowledged that Railgun is weak in a fair game. Many legend ranked players exclusively play these types of PRO battles. If you were playing only for a year, perhaps you did not know how the turret was prior to 2016 when it was strong and reliable with more consistent damage. You said that railgun doesn't need a buff. Then how about returning railgun to how it was prior to 2016? That wouldn't classify as buff. If it did, then you are indirectly accepting that Railgun was nerfed since 2016.

 

And yes, you are right. I wouldn't complain if players stopped equipping rail modules. Nevertheless I prefer the old railgun which cannot 1 shot light hulls but deliver reliable very high damage at any range.

Absolutely !!! Railgun needs a buff and I think min DMG buff won't make it super op.

 

I think 10% min DMG OK ?

 

Or 15% min DMG buff with alt min DMG nerf by -5%

 

This will remove 3 shots wasp/hornet shots completely (even with protection)

 

And what do u think about a reload nerf ? (I mean increase reload time a BIT!)

Rail is fine. Its made for camping and long ranged combat, and to have it do crazy damage wouldnt make sense. You cant expect to rush into the enemy and come out alive, thats what weapons like firebird, hammer and twins are made for.

 

It is sometimes a bit unpredictable, id say reduce the damage ratio, both the min and the max damage should be closer to the average.
