Ideas for Turrets!

Firebird is fine in its current state.

 

The point is either you don't know how to play or you might get by Firebird every time you play. I'm a Firebird user and I know the pain of using it. I have to approach near to a player to kill. People can kill by going far from my tank.

 

In luck basis, If we see a tank near around we go and back stab them (lol) and earn kills. The burn damage helps us to save time and fuel and that should remain stable in my opinion.

 

You need skill to use Firebird such as judging how much fuel need to spend on your opponent so that, burn effect can work in it.

Firebird is all about saving and consuming fuel efficiently.

The point is not about having to go near a tank and a possibility of getting killed from far, It's simple that in the current mechanisms of firebird, if you get in contact anyhow, just assume you're dead as Isida too can't help with the burning effect anymore.

I used to use Fire, but now I use Friz mostly between the two, and I usually have no trouble against fires. Just get behind quickly. If fire was that OP then everyone would be using it. I hardly see more than 3-4 max out of 16 and usually 1-2.

it's hard for all turrets to get 40 kills without dying , only hiding magnums and shafts can achieve that and it's still not easy

EASY!

 

so if you don't care about your K/D your turret should be OP ?

"just get behind quickly" is not so easy if you play against competent enemies. Not every encounter is a freeze ambush.

Without high fire protection all they have to do is lightly breath on target and it's game over.  At worst for firebird it's a draw.

 

Well, 4 is 25% of the total players.  That would surely indicate it is OP if 25% of the players use same turret when there are 13 to choose from.

Usually 1-2?  Maybe highways or brest.  Most other maps it's 2-3+.  3/16 is still above average at 18%.

actually I'm really happy that close range turrets are more OP now... at least people can't top the battle from just camping anymore

They can, they just need to use OP Thunder or Smoky instead of UP Rail or Shaft.

 

Rico is now more like Twins, better in short range, worse in medium range. Believe me or not, I started to use M1,3 Smoky instead of M2,1 Rico because that Smoky is better...

You say the same old crap every time you get the chance. Like how OP thunder or smoky is, or how UP railgun is. Instead of saying the same old thing over and over again, why not come up with reasons why you think that?

 

 

I've usually stated my reasons if I think something needs to be fixed.

Railgun has less DPS, shot delay (enemies can hide or knock Rail aim during that 1 second), less auto-aim than all other weapons except Shaft and Magnum, 'nice' shooting effect which reveals its cover...

 

Only advantages of Rail are infinite range and penetration. Penetration is good because you can shoot through teammates. Some Rails hide behind teammates on purpose xD

Topic no. 1:

 

I would suggest to create a turret called, Air-Striker:

 

Brief Description:

It is a turret where the shape is cylinder and has two lights on the side attached to it.

 

Function:

It summons jets to throw down missiles to shoot at enemies, you have to firstly aim at your target by turning your turret to the enemy and press spacebar to confirm your enemy (maximum enemy number: 5, more than that it will have a cancel sign). Then when you finish, double tap spacebar where they'll be a call like: "ok, sending signals to whatever, whatever station and in 3, 2, 1...." then instantly they'll be jets flying to dispose bombs at the targets.

 

Strengths:

1. Every shot has instant damage.

2. nobody really knows if you are a fighting tank. (if they wouldnt)

3. long range to avoid being spotted.

 

Weakness:

1. Reloads are slow.

2. If they know you, or want to shoot for fun, they will be able to kill you.

3. When you are targeting, you will be able to be notice by people, but my advice is to hide yourself from their view.

 

M0: aiming range: 400  impact force: -  turning speed: 300  reload time: 9.00

M1: aiming range 500   impact force: -  turning speed: 415  reload time: 7.00

M2 aiming range  608   impact force: -  turning speed 551   reload time: 5.15

M3 aiming range: infinite   impact force: - turning speed : 900   reload time 4.10

Strengths:

1. Infinite damage

2. fast reload speed  (0.01)

3. fast turning speed (0.01)

4. impact force that can knock a tank over an edge (70,000)

 

Weakness:

nothing

 

But it costs about 100,000,000,000,000 crystals for people who have high kill/death ratio. M0 M1, M2 M3 are the same statistics. 

But for weak tanks ( which their kill/death ratio is low) it will be 200 crystals.    :P :D

An impact turret would be a good for capture the flag or getting rid of overpowered players in your battle. I think if using that turret you flipped a tank it would count as a kill.  :ph34r:

A variation of striker would be nice. It would fire straight up into the air and your tank would be immobile until you guide your missile into something or take 25 seconds. Reload time: 15 seconds

New (Old) Turret: Grenade Launcher

 

In the Vlog that talked about the Magnum when it was being developed we could see alternative designs and one of them is what I find quite interesting and what I'm focusing on in this post. We already seem to have the model for it, it looks like a mortar with a fixed angle.

The idea is a turret with a fixed angle of probably 45° that can still turn around. Pressing and holding fire will charge the power just like Magnum.
The projectile would be a grenade that explodes after contact with a tank or after a set amount of time, maybe 5 seconds.

An interesting alteration for this might be replacing some if not all damage with the Firebird effect.

Can you guys please revert or Fix the spin up time for the Vulcan, because it is pretty much useless when you spawn next to someone at this point and It was already tough to use before, I don't understand why you guys would even consider to Nerf the Vulcan out of all the weapons. I don't really care about taking more damage when overheating but please Just decrease the spin up time!! Thank You.

uhmm i know that im noob and I just want to suggest that you should update the isida because isida cant defend itself against enemies and thats just sucks because they always die pls do any update that will make isida defend itself :)

the isida is a medical tool first, and a weapon second.

CandC generals --- Inferno Cannon shoots small arterially shells that explode and deals light damage and creates a small amount of fire

Creates a longer burning fire attack on ground in groups of 4 or more

Disables its secondary function though. Cannot Fire on the move.

 

Secondary Function. Makes rail gun miss tank 90% of the time and makes it shot vear left or right of the tank

Makes Ricochet shots vear in any direction away from the tank.

  Makes thunder shots miss and hits either side of the tank also decreases thunder splash damage 50%

Makes smoky shots miss 50% of the time

Makes Hammer miss 25%  of the time.

Makes Isida miss the tank 94% of the time

Makes Vulcan miss 38% of the time ( Bullets hit ground instead.)

Makes Shaft (Sniping Mode) go fuzzy and makes shooting enemy harder.

  USELESS against Fire and Freeze.

You Get 10 Xp Per tank shut down by this weapon.

Range of Weapon Same as Firebird + 25% more.

Smoke Cannon (My own Idea) - Creates  a fog of smoke around the vehicle has quick reloading time makes it harder for others to see you and any one where smoke is deals 1 point of damage to enemy every 20 seconds only if you are firing (Very weak damage)

has a Tank of smoke similar to fire birds on back. leaves a smoke cloud that lingers and then clears in 60 seconds

Weapon (Magnetron) - Can Lift tanks in the air to make it not op can only lift wasp and  hornet  and anything over a certain amount of weight say 1700?

 

Deals no damage- In battle every tank you lift gives you 25 points (in battle) and about 30-50 Xp

if you are in air though may deal damage if you fall from certain height  

 

Pros-  -Can pull tanks towards it (including allies)

-Long Range

-stop enemy escaping

-Can fire at enemy and drop him/her any time

 

Cons- - Cannot fire while moving

- Cannot damage enemies

- can lift One tank at a time

Weapon- will have a  reload time If you stop firing

 

 

How about mini Drone like the Humvees in Command and Conquer  Generals

(I recken it would be cool to make it fair you can collect it off some where (like damage boxes)  make it drone box? or drive near it and it becomes yours until you are destroyed

 

 MISSILE LAUNCHER - launches Missiles you control the missile it makes your tank unable to move until it hits something and explodes reload happens after rocket explodes 10-25 or 30  seconds 

 

DRUM SPINNER -  it is a drum spinner weapon like off battlebots

Molotov Turret

 

I have an idea which players would find amusing. This turret would be called "Molotov" because it throws thrust bombs of fire like Molotov cocktails. By having a Molotov turret in Tanki Online, it would bring a new type of gameplay and fun.

 

How the Molotov turret works:

 

The Molotov turret works by rotating its turret up and down, like Magnum, so that when throwing the fire bomb, its does not cause self damage to the player. The vertical angle of the Molotov turret can be between 0 degrees to 90 degrees. When players firing the Molotov turret at enemies, it will throw a fire bomb which will cause splash damage and burn tanks within its range. When nearby tanks drive over the burning floor, they will catch fire even if they have not been affected by the burning.

 

Burning:

 

The burning effect here would not be the same as Firebird. Instead, when enemy tanks have been burnt, instead of being red hot, they will catch on fire. The burning effect for the Molotov turret would behave in the same way as the Molotov cocktails that players use in the Grand Theft Auto series. The Molotov turret will not throw bottles, but instead launch fire bombs that will splatter fire on the ground, damaging any enemies nearby within its radius and enemies that drive on the burning floor. The burning floor would consist of a burning splatter fire bomb which will last for 10 seconds.

 

Range:

 

A suitable range for this turret would be a close range to a medium range turret.

 

Other Parameters:

 

I am not sure how much damage or reloading time the Molotov turret would need but it would have to be balanced out by the developers.

 

Developers words:

 

A few V-Logs ago, developers said that there would be more turret coming to Tanki Online, but not in the near future. Maybe next year.
