Ideas for Turrets!

As a turret idea, this is terrible. Although it's possible for this to be implemented as a supply. For example, instead of the mine, you "equip" the molotovs into your "5" slot and pressing 5 in-game will throw a molotov instead of placing a mine.

Why would this be terrible as a turret? Having such a turret would be amazing, and don't forget that a Molotov turret would be different than Firebird. As for the supply you mentioned, it would be amazing to have a supply that throws Molotovs but I am not sure if developers would consider them as a supply.

 

What type of turret would you like to see in Tanki Online Maf?

No. That's not the point. I am not asking for a turret which combines Firebird and Magnum. What I suggest is a turret which has the similar functionality as Molotovs. The reason why this turret would have to go up and down for rotation is because it must avoid self damage when launch those fire balls bombs. The look and behavior of this turret is supposed to be unique and different from all the other turrets which currently exist in Tanki Online.

How about make this an alteration for Magnum: shell does no direct damage upon hit, but ignites an area of ground for a few seconds, dealing damage to any tank passing through it.

 

I am not sure why I am suggesting alterations for Magnum.

How about make this an alteration for Magnum: shell does no direct damage upon hit, but ignites an area of ground for a few seconds, dealing damage to any tank passing through it.

 

I am not sure why I am suggesting alterations for Magnum.

I already kinda posted an idea like that, but when the shell hits, there is a delay than explodes with normal damage and a heated afterburn

I agree with you. I support your idea for alterations for Magnum. It is true that Magnum and Striker needs to have four alterations. All the turrets in Tanki Online needs to have four alterations.

Particle Cannon

 

Particle cannon shoots rays of high-speed particles (protons, neutrons). The rays should have red to yellow color (based on particle temp). It is a long range weapon. You can 'charge' the shots to make the particles heat instantly or later. Particles lose heat after reaching full temperature. The more heated the particles are, the bigger damage they do.

M0 reload - 2,4s
M4 reload - 1,6s
M0 max damage - 400
M4 max damage - 800
Turret rotation - same as Rail
Auto aim - same as Rail
Range - unlimited
Weak damage - 50%
Charge time - 0,8s

Non-charged rays have instantly full temp and they lose it all after 200m. Fully charged rays start with no temp, they reach full temp after 200m and then lose it all after another 200m.

Dealing lots of damage with this weapon would require lots of skill but it would become a deadly weapon after fully mastering it.

Charge time takes 0,8s. Each 0,1s of charge moves the max heat range further by 25m. You can basically inflict full damage to every enemy in 200m radius but you need brilliant timing.

Good idea, but physically it makes no sense lol. By bombaring the enemy tank with protons and neutrons, you are bound to cause a fission reaction, thus creating an actual nuclear bomb, easily wiping out all the tanks on the battlefield.

What about a proton canon that shoots out a flat horizontal beam?

It starts out as a small arc first which steadily expands while moving forward slowly. The farther it goes, the less is the damage. It will be the first turret of its kind to be able to damage many tanks that are not much close together.

Turret kinda looks like a mix between isida and a CD player. Similar to this. (Not my pic)

I like your idea of an arc turret. Yes, it should be implemented. My turret idea is also a good one. Having a turret which is similar to Isida and a CD player that can damage many tanks at once is something that should be added to Tanki Online.

Hammer Balance Update

It needs a buff either in range, damage, maximum damage range, anything.

Hammer got 'buffed' by nerfing Rico and Twins. However, it still needs a buff. Range buff would be good.

You are just right. Particles with speed close to light speed (~299000 km/s) do not behave like slow particles. They have HUGE energy. Particle rays 'activate' on the enemy tanks and make some sort of 'shrapnel cylinders' like standard AP (Armor Piercing) rounds. Particle balls make huge explosions which hull-break tanks like HE (High Explosive) rounds.

 

Shooting particles with extreme speed is far far more effective than shooting standard metal projectiles. Particle weapons are the future...
