Ideas for Turrets!

Twins and Vulcan are currently the only 2 turrets in the game that can shoot limitlessly , but Vulcan gets burned if it shoots too much , unlike twins which has no penalty whatsoever (some people even use the phrase "brick on spacebar") and it's true :)

 

so instead of giving twins a burning effect for overshooting , make it freeze little by little without necessarily taking any damage . this would be exactly the nerf that twins needs right now .

Twins got a nerf in the form of freeze.

smoky is quite different from twins .

its reload is not as fast as twins' reload and it's impact force is not dealt continuously .

impact force is continous  -_- 

 

only thing is that twins has lower reload but other than that it's still continous

I didn't say they should make its reload slower , just make the whole tank freeze a little bit after shooting for a long time.

It already got "nerfed" with splash damage so its enough

Vulcan has overheat but also has long range

We dont want a freezing hull with increased damage or bigger impact you see freeze is annoying with buffs we dont need buffs for twins.

Perhaps those disadvantages are not enough to make Twins balanced, but the ability to shoot non-stop is Twins' signature gameplay mechanic that makes it unique, so if it were to get a nerf, it should be in other parameters.

Twins got a nerf in the form of freeze.

Twins has not been changed in over a year. It has not been nerfed. I have no idea what you are trying to say here.

 

Twins already has enough disadvantages that balance its ability to shoot without reload or cooldown. Perhaps those disadvantages are not enough to make Twins balanced, but the ability to shoot non-stop is Twins' signature gameplay mechanic that makes it unique, so if it were to get a nerf, it should be in other parameters.

Smoky, Thunder, Shaft (arcade), Striker (singles), Railgun. and Magnum can all shoot non-stop as fast as single-shot reloads allow. Twin's ability in that regard is nowhere near unique.

 

These type of reasoning is also seen in the Magnum, Shaft, and Railgun debates.  Magnum is "supposed to" ave giant damage, Shaft is "supposed to" 1-hit all targets, Railgun is "supposed to" never take more than 2 hits to kill any tank. Twins is "supposed to" shoot endlessly.  

 

That sort of  comment is as defunct here as it is there. When discussion game balance what matters is game play. What does not matter is some rhetoric iused in the item description blurb.  Item description blurbs can be "nerfed" too.

 

I wish there was some sort of limitation for one reason. There is nothing as annoying in TO as the 'pom. pon. pom' sound of a Twins noob who drives around the entire game shooting, target or no target. It's like water drip torture. 

 

But id I were to adjust twins I wold reduce its impact by 10-20% guesstimate.  That's what makes it the OP turret we'd be griping abuot if Magnum did not exist

True, but Twins' extremely short reload makes its fire rate similar to that of Rico or Vulcan, but without the negative effects. So it's a non-stop firing machine gun, rather than a turret that fires shells one by one.

first you need to buy an altreation for no self damage or to shoot at long range 

also with matchmaking if you get in long range map you have to change

first of all , the maps that twins doesn't work on are only highways and (sometimes) brest .

 

secondly , a skilled person using twins with drugs is the hardest thing to beat , you've tried it haven't you ? as a thunder user I know how annoying twins can be , it sometimes even prevents me from spinning my tank , and I just get stuck fighting them ,and they never lose.

I do now know what these disadvantages are (other from the splash damage which can be removed for 25k and the relatively slow projectile speed)

 

if Vulcan shares that signature (unlimited shooting) with twins it's not really a unique signature .

But Twins is the only one that can shoot non-stop without any penalties. Vulcan overheats.

I see what you mean

okay , it does have relatively low damage , but that damage is dealt constantly without stop , which makes its damage really high , especially if he has double damage and you don't have double armor

I say give twins a larger splash radius and less damage, for the alt remove splash, and you'll have a balanced stock and alt. Even better, the alt could be the stock and the stock could become the alt. Alts should be cheaper.

 

But increasing reload a little bit is a good idea too.

Shaft's laser should be removed, while its bullets should have slightly higher bullet speed than that of Striker's. This would add a skill element to Shaft while also balancing it out with laser removal.

Hello, As we know that many people just press space and move like godmode_on in twins, these thing helps in distraction of aim of all tunnels and disbalance the tank also .So according to me the twins should be overheat like valcan to stop continue use of twins. I hope u people will understand the problem of twins .....Please twins user cooperate with other tunnels ...Twins is overpower now .Please fix

I dont know if its only me, but i think the smoky critical hits occur faster than the % the stats mention.

Also I think smoky is more powerful than what the stats mention.

 

increase smoky load time by 0.25 s.

 

Im sure many are going to hate this post.

Turret mechanic like magnum but,it's throw balls like ricoshet balls it's follow the enemys.

and the balls color will changed every turret rank(m1,m2,m3)

 Demage will be in m0 (315-402),m1(370-440)m2,(413-487)m3,(470-550),m4 "fully m3 ubgraded" (500-587),

Reload time m0"4 seconds" m1 "3,628 seconds" m2"3,245 seconds" m3"2,874" m4 fully ubgraded m3" 2,427".

Range the range have limit 70 for all ubgrades and that's not changed every ubgrde.

impact force m0(170) m1(214) m2(267) m3(312) m4 "fully ubgraded m3" (367)

 

 

Note: The balls is walking and it,s removed when that be in the maximum range(70)

Adding an overheating effect to Twins Isn't that necessary , and would nerf Twins ALOT . Devs have already added a self-damage effect to make the beast of a turret a little bit challenging to play with . The feature also doesn't make sense logically , because Twins is a plasma-firing turret and it doesn't make any sense at all to add an overheating effect . If such feature gets added , then Ricochet would also need this feature , as it is a plasma-firing turret like Twins.

SCAR-K of MW2, SCAR-L of Fortnite, PUBG, MW3... everyone loves the SCAR.

 

Although the SCAR is the typical assault rifle, this game does not have a semi-automatic rifle yet. (Smoky does not fit under this category). Think of it as a Vulcan, but instead of overheat, it has to reload. It could also have different parameters, most likely a range decrease, higher damage per shot, slower hit-speed and fire-rate, etc. No gyroscope either. 

 

I think an interesting concept of this weapon could potentially be its reload concept. Basically, for every mag you load in, you get a full charge. Fractions of the charge are taken away from the full bar every shot you fire until you get to none, where then you have to reload. Unlike other weapons, whose charge reloads automatically, the SCAR doesn't reload automatically until the mag is finished or, an extra ability, this weapon has is the ability to manually reload without finishing the entire mag, so you can reload at will between enemies to make sure you have a full magazine the next time you face an opponent. Maybe if you press a key such as "B" or something like that, it's a manual reload between magazines. 

 

This weapon would essentially be a medium-range turret for any situation, it's very different from any turret in the game right now either. It would also be extremely popular amongst players who play Fortnite and PUBG who try out this game when they see there is a SCAR they can afford. 

 

Just, please, don't make it OP like in Fortnite or PUBG.

Twins is More than OP against Railgun and shaft. Twins has such a high impact force, the tank cant stay at its place, it is more annoyingly frustratin if you are using hornet or wasp. Don't worry about ammo, keep shooting.
