Sirius, the real laser turret of tanki online, that does no physical damage but burns the target down from distance. It is equally strong in all ranges and its gameplay looks a lot like vulcan. You hold space, the heating begins and a ray comes out of your turret to burn the enemy tank down. If you want to proceed with this idea and need mathematical stats PM me to provide them :)

Adding an overheating effect to Twins Isn't that necessary , and would nerf Twins ALOT . Devs have already added a self-damage effect to make the beast of a turret a little bit challenging to play with . The feature also doesn't make sense logically , because Twins is a plasma-firing turret and it doesn't make any sense at all to add an overheating effect . If such feature gets added , then Ricochet would also need this feature , as it is a plasma-firing turret like Twins.

it's not a nerf, since you can buy your way out of the self-damage.  it's a TAX.

I would like to know, how shaft players think about it, as I can imagine it would make a lot of that "wait until the nose of his turret stucks out a bit" shots impossible.

if you think it's OP then nerf the damage, reload, impact or whatever.. just keep it the same way it is..  don't make it into another turret

what if you're using isida and one day i nerf it by making it work exactly the same way a vulcan does?

I play Shaft pretty often, and though I enjoy using it a lot, it's completely OP. The laser is much too easy to hide, and that's the only nerf that the devs have given it in the past few years AFAIK.

 

A damage nerf is unacceptable; It can hardly oneshot a medium hull as it is. I would be open to a 10% reload increase, but if you're looking for a skill level increase, I do think that air time is the way to go. Not a slow bullet speed like Striker (that of which needs to be increased), but nonetheless a non-instant shot.

I would say removing the laser actually makes shaft a worse weapon for the game. Why are real snipers good? They get high k/d lol while also causing psycholigical damage to their enemies. Players who just hide and camp and snipe kills dont really help their team. The laser helps encourage snipers to shoot quickly and then move, thus helping their team

If laser is removed they can add an smoke trail, then Shafts would have to move.

If it doesn't travel at light speed then no. It's all good now let's make the laser a little less opaque

If you haven't learned how to hide the laser you might need some more practice...

For the victim, it will be more difficult to find from where the bullet came from as it is smaller than a missile and have no smoke trail or light coming out of it. This mean you won't be able to dodge it.

Speed of the bullet slightly faster than striker missile is also not realistic, both speed are not comparable. 
As an old user of Shaft and now a victim of them, the laser is the best trade of. If you are a Shaft user, as Wolverine848 said, learn how to hide the laser and stay stealth. If you are a victim, learn the covered routes and snipers' nest, use DA when in the open and use the Shaft protection modules if you want to put your head in plain view.

Like the Snipers of Fortnite and the AWM .300 Magnum of PUBG? Sure! 

 

I think this is too much of a nerf, just give is a slightly quicker reload. But also nerf arcade shots.

i would really like the idea of buying and m0 or m1 even if you are of a higher rank to see or test out before buying it also helps a guy who doesn't want to spend money or cant always play the game

Devs won't add any new turrets unless they have new mechanics. You're suggesting something that "just shoots" and has the reload mechanic of Hammer. I personally don't think it's original enough to be added as a new turret. Maybe it should be an alteration for Smoky or something.

Adding onto the reloading mechanic of Hammer, you can choose when to reload your clips whenever you want.
