Ideas for Turrets!

So this turret will be very different from all the other turret that we've seen so far in TO

It will be classified as a medium ranged turret. This turret fires a constant straight beam (The beam has a rate of fire like Isida, Freeze and Firebird) and its energy works similar to Vulcan, the damage is unbelievably low however (so lets say 10 damage at M1). What makes it unique however is its ability to break though protection (So it will drain though a tanks protection continuously, therefore an increase to damage. The protection draining also will go to the negatives once it reaches 0. So if it fires at a M3 mammoth with x2 armor, the protection of mammoth M3 could reach -112 when it gets destroyed) 

This makes it the worst and the best time to kill turret in TO

 

It will also have the ability to overrun its Energy (Like overheating Vulcan) but instead of overheating it will start to shake and become more inaccurate. The turret at M1 has a range close to a M0 Thunder

 

I hope you guys found that idea interesting, for the other stats im not sure what they should be

look at the first definition of FPS 

FPS stands for First Person Shooters

He meant, I think, that you had initially written it as FPS shooters, or First Person Shooter shooters. 

 

Idea? You may do better by posting this in Epic Games' forums. :P Could be an alteration, though.

Hello, tankmen.

I was working on a new weapon design, and I want you to tell me the pros&cons.

I call it BlackHole and it shots a black bullet if I can say. (the shape doesn't matter )

it has an ability.

when you charge it (Hold SPACE too long), it can inactivity the enemy's tank for N seconds.

it also can absorb the near enemies bullets while you attacking/shooting.

So it gives you more defense and I think it'll be the best defender weapon at this time.

[ I didn't mention the damage and the rate of fire cause I have no Idea how it works, but I think this weapon needs low rate-fire ]

I'm not sure about the concept , but I like the fact that you took your time to make these prototypes , so you deserve a like :)

Twins and Riccochet occupy the spot of Assault Rifles...they offer fast high damage at a short to medium range. Merely switching plasma for bullets would not make enough of a reason to add yet another turret, I think

 

And this is despite me thinking that SCAR's are cool, they just don't offer anything different

If the developers give rail more damage and decrease the reload, then some less skilled players will profit from that.. but the better railgunners and the pros will be unstoppable.

Look what they've done to freeze (starting 07/2018.. until the nerve it again sooner or later). That's not really a way to balance the in-battle power of equipment.

The standard railgun goes worser and worser when your rank becomes higher and higher, it's only used in xp/bp battle, it's like finding a pea in a bunch of leaves as finding Railgun in the MM battles, Railgun is seriously underpowered and some of the turret even does impact force and the Railgun misses shot, so Railgun's damage per shot should be increased and reload time should be decreased by 0.3 to 0.4s

I don't think the problem is in the rail itself. The problem are drugs and protection modules. Its not unusual to my almost m4 + alt rail to do ~300 dmg if I shoot a drugger with 50% rail block (aka 90% of players if MM is feeling particularly nasty that day). Plus they drug repair jack and OD making things even worst. My suggestion to you is to leave such battle or change weapon.

Bad thing about that is that it may magnum really good in places, where aren't a lot room, but it doesn't block teammates as much in base

That is part of Magnum's charm and skill requirement.

It's a good idea, but not something that Tanki would be interested in. First off, it would be introduced with no defense the way Magnum was introduced. Secondly, eventually for every weapon there has to be a defense of some sort. What would the defense be? It would be used a lot like OD is used. Six players enter enemy base and one activates OD on the other 5 before entering. While they are slaughtering the enemy team, another activate OD and so on. 

 

Let's suppose those 6 players each have your proposed weapon. They can OP the enemy team without even breaking a sweat. Even more devastating if the players also have OD. Sit back and run a battle through your head using your mind's imaginary virtual reality and you are on the receiving end of this scenario.

Rail should be buffed because other turrets outplayed you and you didn't hit the shot?
