Ideas for Turrets!

there's already smoke, and it looks like the smoke from actual napalm burning on nothing else...

if you want smoke rising from the top then that'd only make it unrealistic as napalm doesn't burn like that

 

 

 

how the hell do you know what napalm burns like?

Just a small smoky buff

 

Isn't it just sooo annoying when you shoot someone with smoky, and you would have killed them without a critical hit, but you still got a critical hit? Yeah, they should make it so you can't get a critical hit if they're going to die without it anyway... because: WHAT A WAIST OF A CRITICAL HIT!!!!!!!! :D Let me know your ideas below, thanks!

A complicated system will have to be made for this little improvement which is of course time-consuming and personally, I think it making it more balanced if it is kept the way it is since you don't know when you will be ''wasting'' that critical-shot of yours and when you won't. Well, not a bad idea but certainly not one that will be on their top priority.

If it annoys you so much, buy Assault Rounds alt. No crits but higher impact force. Subcaliber Thunder is also an option.

???? you suggesting something to remove the criticals? how would that solve his problem of critical shots getting wasted?

No crits, no waste. But the impact really isn't that much with Assault Rounds. Rico has a bigger impact.

Subcaliber Thunder is similar to Smoky. When he hates the randomness of Smoky criticals, he should switch to Thunder.

but the guy doesn't want the extra damage to get wasted. with his genius idea there won't even be any extra damage to risk getting wasted. 

 

i suppose it may stop that annoying feeling but.; it won't solve the problem of not dealing enough damage when he needs it

 

 

 

Subcaliber Thunder is similar to Smoky. When he hates the randomness of Smoky criticals, he should switch to Thunder.

yeah it's similar until he meets enemies with thunder protection

Singularity turret

 

This high-tech turret takes nitrogen and oxygen from the air and slowly breaks them all the way to electrons and quarks (!). These electrons and quarks are compressed into singularity and shot with immense speed of 290000 km/s (insta-shot). This epic process takes lots of time, of course. Upon impact, singularity shots have huge Magnum-like splash. Shots are activate upon contact with enemy Twins, Rico or Striker shots so Twins are ideal counter against Singularity turret. Impact force works the opposite way with this turret, tanks are 'sucked' into the singularity shot.

M4 stats

Damage: 1500-2250
Reload: 7,5 sec
Range: infinite
Splash: same as Magnum
Recoil: 75
Impact force: -450 (opposite direction)

Seems interesting, but I don't really understand how it works. It shoots a projectile like Rico, but the projectile sucks tanks into it and deals damage as it flies through the map? Sounds somewhat interesting.

I believe the projectile is invisible to the naked eye, as are electrons and quarks. So basically like a silent thief - you don't see it coming, and only feel the impact.

That seems frustrating and unbalanced. Also a missed opportunity for custom shot effects.

Yes, true. Shot effects: clear, invisible, and unable-to-be-seen? ;)

Railgun sometimes surprises you when the trail is either not seen or not there, which sometimes happens. Shaft can also do this on a large hull when the shot animation isn't seen.

It hits the target instantly just like Thunder or Smoky. It has splash and it does damage only after hitting tank, obstacle or Twins/Rico/Striker projectile. It has negative impact force. Is it really so hard to understand?

Unbalanced? It has actually very low DPS due to long reload. It is exactly that type of turret which camps behind a wall, peeks out and KABOOM! Something like bias version or Thunder.

So then it's just Thunder with a reverse impact force? Doesn't justify a whole new turret, to be honest.

It is very different from Thunder. It has 7,5 sec reload at M4, 10 sec at M0. That would make its gameplay most similar to High Caliber Rail but with lower DPS and splash instead of shot delay.

 

I also think it would be weird to add singularity alt to Thunder, that would be just 'What the hack?'

 

Singularity needs to be shot in form of little black hole, it can not be stored inside Thunder projectile or any other type of standard solid ammo.
