Ideas for Turrets!

Well most of the XT Turrets are animal themed like Railgun is eagle themed, Firebird is dragon themed, Thunder is bear themed, Vulcan is snake themed, so Hammer should be animal themed. Applies to hulls as well.

No, really, the next combo should be Dictator and Hammer XT.

Dictator could be Stalin and Hammer would have some sickles. :P

 

(Nah, I still think Cerberus is a better idea though.)

A good idea for a new turret would be a turret that looked kind of like a Tron turret that fired a blast of energy like ricochet but look a little longer to reload with the effectiveness of smoky, btw I like the idea of that aciduss gun near the beginning of the discussion.

I suggest a new turret called the Moofleycoop. This turret is a large, green blob, and shoots goofyflurps. These goofylflurps bounce across the ground, heading for any enemy tanks they can see. When they come across the ground they leave trails of green goofyooze. This goofyooze will stuckify any tank that crosses it. The stuckified tanks must do the goofygoo dance in order to escape from the stickyness.

Thunder is a wolf, not a bear.

But a bear would suit the hammer, as it is slower/short range.. but if it hits you, you are done.

 

Bear would maybe also fit the large looks of a dictator.

Garage Description:

Acidex is one of the best turrets for close combats. When you continously shoot at your enemy, your enemy's gun cannot shoot for three and a half seconds but he can move his tank and turret. Compared to other short ranged turrets, it has less damage but unlike other short ranged turrets, it also has impact force. Works great on small and medium hulls.

Thunder-Viking XT would make more sense visually as a bear, because wolves are not that wide lol :P

i think there should be like a mortar weapon which has a reload format similar to the hammer(shotgun)  it would have 5 shots instead of 3 and it could upgrade its ammo capicity within m1s

Gun what reloads 2x longer than railgun and hight damage like railgun, but it shoots all hes clip realy fast but this gun ability is to shoot whenever you want

max speed is like twins

like you must charge a bit to shoot but it always shoot all hes amunation

example

i just shooted 1 guy and and i see another one driving but i am not fully reloaded (only half reloaded) so i shoot him and i deal half from max damage possible. If i have reloaded 1/4 then i deal 1/4 from max damage.

Also impact force is lower. Everything is lower if you havent fully charged it. It would be realy useful for defense if it can shoot like twins if spam space so it would be awersome for any player.

Like to camp and deal deadly damage? Use this turret but if you get in trouble spam it!

Drive in enemy base like beast with first deadly damage and then just try to survive....

 

This turret should be good but not owerpowered like shaft.

With full reload it should do little better than railgun, but might you thing it can beat any turret? No it cant. It has 2x reloading of railgun as i already said so yeah. Turret should auto aim like vulcan does while shooting (slow down turning and aims at same spot if spam)

Tanki has many types of turrets but one more turret which I feel they should add is an artillery turret which would combine best with a medium hull like dictator or the two heavy hulls. U could also name the turret howitzer as it would function like one. I suggest this turret should have a decently long range. Also if u may have noticed that there is no turret in this game whose projectiles do not travel in a straight line. Therefore this turret's projectiles will curve and fall due to gravity. Also this turret will have a very low velocity projectile speed (something between twins and ricochet projectile speeds). This turret will also need to charge before firing similar to shaft but it won't have an optical scope attached to it. Also longer u hold on to the charge, farther would the projectile travel. Therefore for medium range targets u should not hold on to the charge for long otherwise the projectile would fly overhead harmlessly. It would have a reload similar to that of shaft and damage will vary for how long u ho the charge similar way to the way it works in shaft though max damage will never be more than that f railgun and minimum damage will be a little less than hammer and max range will be a little les than that of Vulcan. The difference between this turret and other mid range turrets is that hwitzer's damage will keep increasing over range. It will be ideal for mid to long range mapsit wll also have a splash damage which will damage itself if it fires on a wall or any obstacle within its radius. Therefore this turret will require a lot of skill but learning how to use it will also be very rewarding. It can always use cover while attacking and attack enemies under cover. Will also be ideal to tackle campers close to the flag like in Noise though it will require a lot of skill be able to use a high charge in that map otherwise the projectile would fly out of the map harmlessly. I don't think this turret is a bad idea and howitzer is also a decent name. This turret will be most effective in defensive roles therefore won't be very good for DMs unless the user finds a good camping spot.

 

I think this is a very accurate description of how an artillery turret should work in this game. Also if such a turret is introduced, they would have to add protection from this turret to existing paints and may also have to create new paints. I wonder if the Devs will read this but guys if u like my idea please up vote it since it may make a difference.

I will see if I can come up with how the turret should look like. Like please :)

Could you give some actual numbers instead of comparisons? I just think it would help visualize the whole thing.

Well, it seems like it would be extremely hard to aim without something like shaft's scope, so maybe a laser-guided arc visible only to the artillery player (since the projectile speed is so slow, giving opponents the opportunity to see and then dodge it would make it useless).

hmm... That is what should make it difficult to use... With a laser guided arc it will become too easy. If a player spends some time testing and trying to play with this turret he will soon be able to visualize where his shot will land. Long back I used to play an FPS called uberstrike in that game u did have grenade launchers which required some visualization of where a grenade would land.

I was thinking and maybe there could be a buy and sell option to sell the turret at half price. if its not upgraded it goes into a box of guns/hulls that other players can bye from or if the guns upgraded a lot e.g. micro upgrades or m1/m2/m3 it could sell at slightly more of a price and go into a separate box. it would be super useful to make a bit of extra crystals to bye a new better turret.

 

this all is the same for hulls to. it is much like a breakers yard for cars. the Germans did this in WW2 for improved tanks modern army's nowadays still do it to. so its a very realistic method. thanks for listening. :)

Uh.. Well if u think u can sell a turret u have bought at half the price it still makes sense but other players being able to buy it will totally ruin the economy. Imagine u buy an m1 thunder for 38k, u use it for a few days but then u realise that it doesn't suit ur game style and u decide to sell it off for 19k. Its fair enough that u get back just half ur money and start saving for something else but what if another tanker who really wants thunder m1 first sees the garage price at 38k then sees ur selling it at 19k, he will obviously buy ur turret and this way the economy will get ruined.

So u selling of some equipment of urs which u don't like at half or less the price can still work but no one should be able to buy it. Which means u sell ur equipment back to the garage.
