Yes, it's annoying when you're flipped back over and you're still going to self destruct.

I agree. This has been mentioned before but I can't see any reason why a cancellation wouldn't be possible.

 

The advantage is to the opposite team, I think that advantage is too high. If you wait to be flipped back your team is missing a player. When your team do try to flip you they are putting themselves at risk. They've risked their own health and you blow up anyhow.

 

Perhaps, also, there should be a way your team can see you have pressed destruct so that they know not to try and set your tank aright. A little timer icon or bomb icon to say this tank is going to self-destruct.

There's also those situations when you get righted by the virtue of enemy fire or enemy knocking you off your side/off a ledge.
