Forced to use a credit card to buy with PayPal?

Hi, I've been trying to pay for crystals using my PayPal account, which is connected to my bank checking account. I've done this several times before, and it's worked pretty fine, no problems. My problem now is that there is no more direct billing option- there's no way to use the money directly from my checking account to pay for the crystals, even though I have sufficient funds in the account. It seems whenever I try to pay for the crystals, G2S tells me I need to link a credit card? I don't use or need credit cards. Which is why I use PayPal! Because you could pay easily, WITHOUT having to use a card! I don't know when or why they started to require cards, it doesn't make much sense to limit your customers' payment options.

 

I have attached 2 files. On the first, it gives me the option to either pay with a card or pay with PayPal. I chose the latter, obviously. On the second image, I clicked Pay with my PayPal account, and signed in, and now it's forcing me to add a credit card; it's never done this before. So, what was the point in even giving me the option? How frustrating!

 

Any solutions? Is the instant transfer option possible again somehow? I really hope it's just a glitch on my end. Otherwise Tanki has just lost a long-time customer. :( I live in the United States by the way, maybe it's a regional thing? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You are doing it wrong. In G2S site, you need to click this:

It will open a new window where you can purchase by your PayPal account.

Jokersus, that's exactly what I did. I logged in- look at my second screenshot. It still required me to link a credit card to my PayPal account.

Has anyone else been having a problem with this? I hope there's an answer. That Tanki would alienate customers who don't have or use credit cards is just ridiculous.

Try this way, it may work, 1) Click on "Buy", 2) click on "Other", 3) pick your payment method from there, see if that works.

PayPal isn't listed in any of the "other" options, strangely. I looked over the list several times. Maybe it's an error on Tanki's part? I hope that's the case...

I made use of PayPal too, the bank system works, it shouldn't have innovated unless the bank has closed, or has been removed from PayPal payments, or an PayPal account has not been set up for this exact banking account.
