Self-destructing

I know people self-destructing are penalized  for doing this. But it's absolutely unfair for people shooting many times a player then earn nothing if that player is self-destructing. That player is penalized for his self-destruction action, but I also need my points for shooting that player, for losing my time shooting that player, specially in team play.

 

 

These days vulcan is way overpowered because many people don't have yet any kind of protection. Combined with this, the gameplay is seriously affected.

 

Please don't simply close this topic. You must find a way to solve this issue first. In my opinion it's an issue that must be solved.

Yes it's needed , some mechanism so that the person who last shot the guy who self destructed should get points .

In team play, the same share of points system between players hitting the enemy. It's logic.

  1. If they took away your points, then sorry, they took away your points. It's part of the game, and before the update, they didn't get any penalization, so I'm happy for that.

Get Graffiti.

The Moderators will decide if this needs closure.

Again, you reply just to increase your number of posts.

Actual system will penalize the self-destructing player. But players hitting his tank before self-destruction get nothing and this is unfair and wrong.

 

P.S. Africa micro-upgraded is better.

  1. If I did that, then my posts would look like this: Bad idea. As it is, I try and give either my support and my constructive criticism to help further the idea, or I list the reasons why this would not make it into the game, tell you why this would not be practical, and I try to give my criticism in a neutral tone.
  2. They just need to be quicker. if you don't want the enemy to have any points, you Self-Destruct, and having the system giving the enemy points anyway would make your death pointless. As the system used to work, the SDing player didn't get any penalty, meaning in DM, you could just SD to make sure the guy on 2nd place didn't overtake you. Now, you lose kills and gain a death, meaning you have to be a little more careful. Especially when using Thunder. But having the system give the enemy points just for hitting you before you self-destruct does not make much sense. Especially in DM, where your score is counted by kills, not points.
  3. Actually, it isn't. Africa (Micro-Upgraded) only brings Vulcan protection up to 45%, and Graffiti has 50%--the highest possible protection against any Turret. See here: Micro Upgrades of Africa

I still sustain my idea. It is wrong in team battles to not give points to players hitting a tank before self-destruction. And this is only related to team battles. For all other systems giving any extra reward or penalty is, of course, a bad idea.

 

This is not only related to Thunder and Vulcan. A player with any other hull/weapon may self-destruct. For one reason or another that player is penalized and that's great to prevent this being happened frequently . But for my time hitting his tank I want my points.

 

P.S. In my opinion, Africa is better overall than Graffiti. I don't met Shaft so often and for me that protection from Graffiti is useless. Twins is as well rarely used. Probably, I'll never buy Graffiti.

We were talking about game issues and how Vulcan is overpowered because it has a lot of power + as a new weapon many people don't have yet any kind of protection.

 

But if you want, we were talking about Thunder + Vulcan. And Africa is much better because it has good protection for both. :)

 

 

 

And to be more clear, I'm not looking for any extra protection against Vulcan or Thunder or any other weapon. I just want my points in team play while I'm losing the time shooting a tank. In team play we may also talk about a fratricide battle to gain more points than teammates and this  update seems very fair and logic to me.

IMO, a player deserves the points if he/she manages to destroy the opponent. Technically, if someone SD before you manage to kill them, then the person who flipped really just killed themselves, not you killing them. 

 

Whenever I see someone flipped, I just ignore them because that means my team is one player stronger for the short moment, which could greatly benefit my team's game play.
